Hi FolksI have been trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to incorporate a front view on a panel that runs on a second monitor. I modded the spirit periscope to provide the view, and as long as the panel remains on the first monitor it works fine. However when I undock the panel to drag over to the second monitor the periscope no longer works. I am presently resorting to opening a new view on the primary monitor and dragging it over to the panel on the second monitor, but this is also an unsatisfactory way of doing what I need.Anyone have any ideas if I can incorporate a front view and have it tied to a panel on a second monitor ( without resorting to Wideview or networked comps…

  2. Hi,I'm finishing up my A300B4 panel right now (C gauges and freeware) and I'm trying to add the final touches. One of the things I haven't been able to do was add the trim wheel sound that the real panel uses when the elevator trim is changed manually (so not when the AP changes the trim). Manually trimming while the AP is turned should also disable the AP.So how do you detect this ? Anybody have an idea ?Thx,Bj

I am building a panel which on the overhead there are the Hyd, Elect, Air systems and Fuel control panels. I want to build a multiple stacked gauge that has each of these systems in it and is made visable by which page is displayed on the EICAS. Doing the graphic parts is no problem, where I am stumped is how do you keep the click spots from the different gauges from conflicting. I know that I can make each as a seperated window, but that gets to be very difficult to control the sequencing or stacking of the windows with XML. Any Ideas??????? Thanks

    Hi,As already known (FAQ's) we can SET the frequency of a NAV facility with e.g.:116.90 100 * 10000 % int d 10 % r 10 / int d 10 % r 10 / int d 10 % r 10 / int 16 * + 16 * + 16 * + (>K:NAV1_RADIO_SET) (ATL VOR)Is the reverse action possible?i.e.(@c:FlightPlanWaypointFrequency,Frequency BCD16))%!d! reads: 22561 for the ATL VOR.How to add a "factor" to get from this value the normal frequency?Jan"Beatus Ille Procul Negotiis"

A few weeks ago I posted a screenshot of my Aztec panel - it being my first attempt at building XML gauges. Here's an update of the work:The real aircraft returned a week or so ago and this allowed me to update a lot of the gauges with accurate bitmaps of the real Piper dials. Cosmetics completed the coding is now continuing on the radio stack. The Collins Audio, King KN64 DME and Filser Transponder (below the Nav 2 display) are now working and I am now fiddling with the KR87 ADF. Last will be the KMD150 GPS and the Garmin SL30 Nav/Com units - the tricky ones for a beginner like myself. I'll be very happy when that big blank GPS display lights up for the first time - tryi…

I just can't understand this, maybe someone has already encountered this problem ?The elevator's axis are well aligned in 3DSMax, the part is linked to a non-animated parent - and moreover, there was no problem with it before. Now, the elevators are both offset leftward in FS. Can anybody explain this phaenomena ?Thanks in advance,Dimitri

HiSorting a panel out for a friend, he had a problem with it and I can not seem to work it out either. The Panel is for a Dash 6 Captain and First Officer views. The problem is the First Officers Panel slopes to the right. Thought it might be because he had not used a Transparent panel as window00, so I put that it and still does it. Have tried Forward_View_Dir in panel config still does it. I know you can change the bank via this line but that only make the Captains Panel slope althought the First Officers panel is position correctly. I think he mirrored the panel.bmp from the captains side to make the First Officers panel, could this be the problem ?Any body help with t…

  14. Here's one way to get "Vertical Speed Change" working in a C autopilot. VS is selected via the "knob" to descend or ascend. Clicking on the knob's center will "cancel" SVS (Selected Vertical Speed) and return the AP HOLD (current altitude. For brevity, I've only included the relevant parts of the C source code:/* The two FLOAT64 values may be simple "float" if you wish. I have to use FLOAT64 because of the need to convert to WCHAR for a GDI+ string */FLOAT64 vspeed = 0 ; // This variable is used for display of the AUTOPILOT_VERTICAL_HOLD_VARFLOAT64 dvspeed = 0 ; // This variable is needed because the AUTOPILOT_VERTICAL_HOLD_VAR cannot be "changed" …

I am not the one dealing with the air file in the team (I am programming gauges), but we are presently discussing whether it would be possible to simulate the 3rd auxilliary engine (RU-19) of An24. It resides in the same block together with the main right turboprop engine, but is is turbofan. It is used to provide electricity for main engine start and also for taking off and climbing in certaing circumstances.I know that it is not possibly to define two types of engines (i.e. turboprop and turbofan) in a single aircraft, but maybe we can make some tricks, as this engine is only an auxilliary one with a relative small power. My idea is to define RU-19 as turboprop also, but…

Hi, I am hoping someone could please help me.I'm working on this plane that i'd like to have automatic fuel transfer and crossfeed control. It has a total of 6 tanks. 2 Center tanks used for forward and aft ballasting; right and left main tanks that feed the engines (the plane has 4 engines), and 2 wingtanks (right and left aux tanks).I was trying to make it so that when the planes angle of attack is over 3 degrees, the center tanks begin transferring forward. But I also need to figure out how to get the 2 tanks back level when the gear is down or when the plane is below 3 degrees... ahhh too complicated.Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!JR

I have a rather simple transponder that is giving me a fit...It will load and run perfectly on several FS9 machines, but will cause an "ntdll.dll" error on several others. The code has been checked and verified to be error free and all the XML has been validated several times and is certifiably "well-formed."Has anyone ever run across this type of problem before? What makes things even MORE confusing... I've managed to get the same gauge running on one of my "problem" FS9 machines, but the same code won't work (just disappears entirely) when loaded on the other FS9 computer!Argh!

Forgive my ignorance but would it be possible to get the fantastic looking Cirrus PFD that Harald Scheidl posted unfinished here some time ago (search library under "cirrus pfd") to work by cutting/pasting up another similar guage? Would it be possible without FSPS?http://library.avsim.net/zipdiver.php?DLID=24139EXPAT

Okay, does anyone know how to change the way an aircraft reacts on the runway? For example, I have an aircraft that when I land it, it tends to bounce heavily when I put on the brakes. Even if my landing is smooth as glass, it still bounces and sometimes causes the aircraft to crash--presumably from a gear collapse. Any help on fixing this would be awesome. Thanks!
