I also wanted to thank all of my fellow simmers for jumping in and putting in their opinions on this matter.My post was only to submit my concerns over the loss of commercial information in my primary FS site. I have a friend who can't change the radio frequencies on his default radio stacks after installing some default repaints. At this time he has to switch to a non default aircraft to change the frequencies then switch back to the default plane. Even though he installed repaints of the fs2002 large jets this problem even affects his cessna's. I suggested that he check his aircrafts cfg for the proper radio cfg and even sent him the default radio gauge all to no avail.Short of a reinstall does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing his problem? :-zhelpThanks for any input!Skully:-wave

Will MS2000 scenery work in 2002?

Has anyone experienced this: When ATC is talking to my plane and when I am talking to them I see what appears to be sound waves jiggling the screen (panel view). One click of mouse will stop it. ATIS does not affect panel. FS2002 Std, Sound Blaster Live, Win98SE, Elsa Gladiac Geforce 3, 64meg. I do not see this with ATC in Fly. Probably my setup but thought I would check. TIA

Hi,When I start up FS2K2 I randomly get a lock up when the aircraft panel is finished being displayed, the aircraft is a Posky 767 but it happens with the default set up also. A message comes up about reporting the fault to M/Soft, (but never get any feedback). The consistent thing about the error is that a fault is reported in a module file called g3d.dll.Anybody have any ideas about this file and the possible causes.I would be very grateful for any cures/helpBest WishesEric Pennington

I have not been able to turn the AP off. When I try to do it, I cannot bank or turn...in other words, I am locked into my existing heading. What have I missed in the manual? Thanks..Sherman KaplanHighland Park IL

In another post, I asked if anybody flew the default 777 as I had not seen much mention of it in the forum.One intelligent reply I received was something along the lines of "Microsof$ default aircraft s***!!". One sentence ! No explanation!I have no idea why people should say these things - and with such a malicious tone -- as far as I can see , it looks OK to me, flies OK, sounds OK. Now , of course I have never seen a B777 in real life, nor have I flown in one . So what would I know?Or am I the only one with a mental age over 13 here tonight?Barry

I know that this has been said before on this forum.. but let me add my voice to those who love the new C421.Somehow, the cockpit reminds me of the best of Propilot and Fly!The landing view with cowling is my favorite, especially once the yoke has been added (with shift-6)..The 45 degree views forward are great with the propellors milling around.. very well done!The GPS is amazing and the pop-up instruments are great since the panel covers a lot of real estate, and the instruments are true to life (small) a la Fly panels!I cannot stop taking this baby for a spin. Once the new MSFS scenery for Toronto is completed, I may just remove Fly altogether..If you like GA aircraft…

...... and the program isn't even installed yet.I just purchased MSFS 2002 Pro and elected to do a complete install (yes, I have more than enough room). The process went through all three CDs with no apparent trouble. The screen is now telling me it is "decompressing scenery textures" but it's been decompressing NEWYORK.CAB now for the last 20 minutes at least!! Is this normal? My cursor icon is still whirling, but nothing is happening. How long should I wait?-Lindy (Thanks in advance.)

I am very interested in this FSD Piper Cheyenne 400. Some of you will know that I like Flight Unlimited 3, and one of the best features of this is the VFR cockpit view. I have just had a look at some of the screenshots of the Cheyenne 400, and this seems to have an excellent VFR cockpit panel (quite unlike anything that I have seen in MSFS before). Can anyone here give me any information regarding this aircraft ? The twin turboprop configuration is perfect for me, since this is the type of aircraft that I like best. Here in Australia NDBs are still very common, and I'd love to do a few NDB approaches in this great bird.Any easy way of retrofitting and ADF or RMI?Or is it there and I'm just overlooking it?

Anyone having problems with an ATI Mobility M4 vidoe card? I'm running a Gateway 9500 Laptop with this card in it and I can't get the fog or reduced visibility to show up in FS2002. I got a quick question. I flew the Posky UAL 777-200 yesterday and when i turned on my nav switch it started rocking side to side. I tried turning the nav off and putting heading hold on but it didn't work. so i turned heading off and put on wing leveler but it kept doing the same thing, so i turned off autopilot all together and it stopped. What is this and how can i stop it from rocking liket his in flight with AP on?? Thanks for ne help!!!

Since I've had FS2K2 (November 2001), I've installed lots of repaints and GMAX aircraft and used TTools. I'm still working up the courage to use AFCAD. But nonetheless, I've never installed any scenery files.But that's gonna change! I've shifted gears from aircraft to scenery.Yet I'm unsure about where these scenery files go. I see there's a folder in the main directory called "Add on scenery." Is this where downloads go?Please, any advice on adding scenery would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance!Rick

Hi,I remember reading a while a go on here, a way of adjusting one of the aircraft files so that the amount of power require to get a 737 moving was less. At the moment, 40-50% is required.Is there any way to lower this, or can someone rmember the name of the file.Any info, ThanksMark

All right I went to the site of Project AI and downloaded the installer to see how it worked here at the university. Problem is to install anything you need to be hooked up to internet...I obviously have access but at my university not at home so how can I install Project AI stuff at home??? Thanks in advance.

Can anyone please tell me what programme is used to view the aircraft airfile as all I see are strange hyroglyphics. Are they secret so that we cant mess around with them?Just curious!Colin

HiCan someone tell me how to remove the Audio Drivers on XP. I have found them in the Device Manager showing as Legacy Audio but when I right clic I can not see the remove button. Also if I press the delete button nothing happens. Why is so.
