There have been many opinions voiced regarding the importance of so called glitter in a sim. Glitter has taken such a prominant position in importance in the minds of many simmers that I feel we are loosing the plot which should be to have a sim which gives as realistic a flying experience as possible.Arguements against realism point out that this is only a $70 sim and what do you expect yet a million copies of a $70 sim add up to one heck of a lot of revenue matching the professional sims.Okay, as I seem to be going head to head with many on this issue I want to lay out my angle on this and why I think this subject is so important.Lets take structure as it refers to scen…

Hey,I have a question. Is anybody making a GMAX Bombardier Global Express or a Gulfstream III/IV/V? Because it would really be nice to fly one.

I really enjoy flying the DF737 and have used numerous resources, including real world operations manuals, to create a highly detailed and realistic checklist. I have also included a few non-normal checklists for emergency situations that can be simulated in FS2K2 as well as some reference information.Please visit my site below and try it out. ok I have a 500 mhz pc with a video crad that has 16 mb and fs 2002 will only start in safe mode. i have run all the direct x tests and they all passed how mdo i fix this????

Ok, does anyone agree that 40 uploaded splash screens the last 2 days with 32 today alone is enough? There are so many under the new files section you seem unable to find anything other than them. For the love of God, put them all in ONE file and zip it up!!!

Guys,I have been all over the net and forums trying to find a way to change the FS2002 sky color. I know that this must be an easy task, but cannot find any help on this matter anywhere (SDK's, forums, etc).I figured that this must be a *.CFG file setting somewhere, but cannot find it.I have a project that I am working on related to weather. I know its been available for some time now but I thought I would like to try it now to get into the moving map portion.Installed it fine but fs2002 hangs at the startup screen and indicates some compatability problem. I found I was having the worst time landing this aircraft...I'd pull into a flare, and stall almost immediately. Landing in FS is something that I've never had a problem with, so I was thinking....what gives?After some touch 'n goes, I went to replay the landings, and I found my flare was so steep that the tail was striking the ground... Did some poking around the panel .cfg, and found out what my problem was...By default, both the main panel and the landing panel have the view canted "down", so when you think you're looking in the direction the aircraft is pointing, the view is actually skewed... I did it - I bought it - it's awesome!!!But... my virtual cockpit has no lighting - none. Everything else works perfect lighting wise, but no VC lighting. I read on another tread about Touchdown FPM. Does anybody knows whether this is possible in FS2K2. The help says that there are a number of options for flight analysis but I could not find these, I have only something similar to map View with some analysis which for me are not that important.How do I get the value of FPM on touch down ?Tony

Who knows where i can find a good FS2002 Airbus 310, and is there somebody who knows how to put new FS2002 lights to the Project Airbus Airbus 300-600?. flybe.com, a small UK based budget airline, have recently re-launched their european operations. They used a nice picture in their ad campaign in the UK dailys which gave me the idea for a repaint. Hello everyone: I was searching for a 727 for FS2002. I would appreciate if you could point me to the best airfile, panel and plane. The most important thing to me is the airfile, as I will be using it as a training aid for an exam to enter a company for my brother who has about 1000 hours on this plane, but we want to practice some approach plates. (I already did this in FS2000 a while back for my exam, and it deffinetely helped a lot! apart from the hours in the real sim...) Thanks in advance, this is very important for us. Best, Jaime

I just uploaded a fix to the 727 panel. It fixes serveral minor problems, the most notable being the replacement of the radio gauges with "anti lawn dart" models.Mike Stone

It's ok, it's only me that is confused. Can someone explain whether FSPainter's GMAX models are flyable, or should only be used for AI. I'm unsure as to which is the case.Rob
