Hey Folks! Most past posts state to hold down the F2 key to get the reverse thrusters to kick in. After cutting the throttle and pressing F1 to be sure, I pressed and held the F2 key, but nothing happened.I am flying Mike's fabulous 727 and reverse thrusters would really be nice to have when things get a little hot on the runway. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, I am using a CH Flightstick PRO as my joystick.Keith

Is it possible to create a minipanel that contains shift keyed sub panels just like the regular aircraft panel. I would like to do this so these shifters would be available in any aircraft.ThanksCharles

I'm using Mike Stone's B727 with several different paints and it really looks great and flys even better. The only problem I've encounter is using it with AI on short? runways.I tried it at SMF which has an 8000 ft runway but it touches down about 1/2 - 2-3 way down the runway and the goes missed approach. No problems at SEA which using 34L which is 9,400 ft.What's the shortest anyone been able to get AI to land. Thanks .. Rich

I hear the controllers out of JFK Center give the call sign of "Star Trek" all the time. (Usually late in the evening) Does anyone know what company uses this?[br][br][div align=center][br][link:members.cox.net/fstimes/wetimage.html]Click Here For Weather Image of the Day!

  6. Altough the gesture (see homepage) is nice, I wonder why companies not make a cheap 50$ throttle, like many simple sticks.A throttle will have even less parts than a stick.Anyone know of a throttle in the make somewhere?Johan

Wondering if anyone else has had this occur in FS2K. Just recently whenever the A/C lighting is on, they appear as large "square" blocks of colored lights where the position lights etc. should be on the A/C. Also the wave action, dust and engine smoke are all rendered in "Blocks". This does not happen in any of the other flights sims and I have made just about every adjustment and tweak I can think of just short of doing a new installation of the sim. This had occured once before and I can't remember what corrected it or if it just dissapeared! Any input would be greatly appreciated.Bewildered,Easyflyer

A British Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Sydney airport Saturday afternoon, when a fire broke out on board just after it took off. A spokesman for Airservices Australia says no-one was injured during the incident, which occurred just minutes after BA Flight 16 left Sydney for Singapore with 270 people onboard.Read the news and watch the news report video:[http://www.abc.net.au/news/2002/08/item20020811000423_1.htm]http://www.abc.net.au/news/imageLibrary/02...020810plane.jpg

I thought you would all like to know that the new upgrades for Swedflight Pro's sceneries are sensational. The new textures really improve the look and feel of the airports a lot. These sceneries, like German airports, are a terrific lesson on how to keep the frame rates practical, yet still provide a lot of nice detail. It's an ideal balance.Lee

  13. Last time I flew into LGA, we flew the Expressway visual (love the ATC on United!). Can someone point me to this really spectacular approach? Also, are there enough visual cues in the sim to fly it correctly? I didn't see an expressway on my straight in approach to 31 tonight. Thanks.

Mike,First let me say EXCELLENT aircraft!!! (my favorite by far), but I wanted to bring something to your attention about the tail section. As you can see in this picture (hopefully) the leading edge is slanted a little more and possibly a little less wide. Don't get me wrong I'm not being critical in any way (I just saw your other post and thought I might drop my two cents in.)Keep up the EXCELLENT work!!JC

Hi all,I've recently viewed several threads regarding FSMeteo and have read a lot of information and "mis"information about how to use it when flying cross-country. I'm not an "expert" on how FSMeteo works - but I think I have a pretty good understanding of what is presented in the manual. If I'm wrong on any point - feel free to correct me... I want this to be an "informative" thread.1. ATIS (assuming you don't use ADV based ATC - which is true for most of us). If you still use Radar Contact, you ARE using ADV based ATC - so please read the "Exceptions" topic at the very end of this post. While flying enroute, if you tune in the ATIS of any airport within reception range …

Hi all, I have received a few e-mails regarding a new panel.cfg for the Flight1 C421 and have been very unreliable in answering them (redesign of machine, fast but unstable new DSL connection, broken harddrive...). All problems are fixed now and I should have posted the new panel.cfg by tonight.Sorry for the delay, I hate unanswered mails as much as you do.Best Regards, Uwe

Need a little floatplane to get somewhere but fast? I'll mention Gerald Lindell's WWII fast flying floating fighter for FS2002. Nothing else like it in the 1940s, nor today. 1500 h.p. Almost as fast and maneuverable as a Zero but in a non-retractable! Normal cruising range 650 miles, ceiling 34,000.== WHK ==

I haven't seen any comments about this sim so I thought I would say that it is really a GREAT plane with a fantastic VC and it flies like a dream. This is a beautiful creation by Rick Sasala and, even though I am not a jet fan or into military planes that much, I really like this one. If you haven't tried it yet, do so! You won't be sorry! Thanks to Rick for a great addon!
