I am wondering what the heck the project AI auto installers do to FS2002. I install them and nothing different happens. Could someone tell me whats supposed to happen and what project ai actually is??

I was very happy to follow the link provided for a FS2k2 patch for Paul Goulding's MD-80 panel. However, I cannot get the patch to download. The first time I tried, Iwas told it was an html file, but when I tried to download, it crashed my browser. This happened 4 times. I tried using MSExplorer, but I met with the same result. I have read that many forum users have downloaded and used this patch successfully. What was your method? Cheers!

Hi all,Does anyone know a good way to practice IFR in the 172 without having to set up the clouds all the time (and the associated drop in performance)? Fly! had an excellent system where you could basically "turn-off" the view out of the aircraft, so all you were left with was the panel and a black screen (which actually improved performance a small amount).I'd like to stick to the standard panels (as opposed to the much larger IFR panels) so that it is the same environment I'm used to when I "take off the foggles" on an approach. Sorry if this is a bit of an obvious or stupid question.After spending ages fiddling with the wonderful Beech Debonair download I finally worked out how to turn the autopilot on. But one thing I haven't managed to work out is how I can set the altitude I want the autopilot to hold at.I can see some sort of green 'bug' on the altimiter and I assume that is the altitude the RealityXP autopilot holds at, but how do I change this?ThanksH

Thought I would post a small steroscopic picture of Geof's Debonair virtual cockpit, that was done by James Eden.Thanks guys for a job well done.This picture is a page flipped steroscopic with about 15% stero seperation. It was done at 800x600x32 to keep it small, so will picture it here. If you have the Stero Drivers and the E-D glasses download the picture to your harddrive with a .jps extension. If you don't have the glasses you can view this by using the crosseyed method, simply look at the picture and cross you eyes until the VC comes into view as a steroscopic image. I just got back this morning from a week-long visit to Memphis and the beginnings of "closing out" my father's house... what a hard week! I needed a bit of relaxation after such a taxing time, so I started noodling around with the DHC-7 textures again. This one is a Paradise Island livery I had started 10 days ago. It's in pretty good shape, but I'd like to fix up the curve to the fuse stripes this weekend before posting. MAN AM I UPSET! i simulate a one man business air charter company.and i took off from KTOA (where my office is located) and had my copilot with me and we were going to fly to KSBA to pick up some passengers. I use FSMaintenance and I was about 88% and better on all systems and thought that would be fine (am I wrong here??, should I have "fixed" a few of the essentials?)so we took off using Flight 1's Cessna 421 and climb out everything was fine, I filed IFR and atc gave me my descent to 3400 and i noticed that when i leveled out my a/s was showing 170kias, mmmmm... i thought maybe pitot tube froze so i turned on pitot heat and checked the temp and it was showing 56deg F.…

On the Avsim home page I read two items that I thought were a bit odd.First: High density mesh for the Great Plains?? does anyone else see this as like an oxymoron? I personally would not buy any land mesh for anything east of Denver as you can almost see Detroit from Colorado Spring! Then again I am from the Northwest.Second: What's up with this PSS Dash8? pilots or anyone that knows...I fly in Canada a lot and a pilot friend of mine gave me an old CFS (Canada Flight Supplement). I absolutely love it - I can look up arrival runways and ILS freqs, approach and ATIS freqs enroute. I would love to buy something similar for the US. Does a comprehensive document exist. I am going to upgrade my hardware tomorrow.. I am using Windows XP professional and have my flight sim environment all configured.Will I just be able to plug my hard drive into a new motherboard, using a faster processor, DDR Memory, Video (I have to change these drivers) with out any problem? Will XP reconfigure itself to the new hardware?I know with Windows 98 it was better just to re-load it when you swapped hardware.Otherwise it is going to be a pain in the neck to re-load everything...Also, what is everyone's opinion on Matrox Parhelia Video Card?
