Hi simmers,I've download the latest detonator 40.71..it is in an execucable form right?When I installed it ..is says an error RPC=Remote Procedure Protocol!Am using WindowsME and I have d/loaded the correct version for my OS.The graphic card I am using is Asus GForce 3 V8200 64mb & I had no problem b4 with other detonators versions.Could any of you simmers help me out or what am I doing wrong?!Many thanks in anticipitation.

I've been using five airport sceneries from Airports 2000 Vol. 2 with FS20002 without problems until a few days ago.Now, I've been experiencing what appears to be a loss of textures at these airports. I've tried reinstalling the scenery but that didn't solve the problem. As the attached picture of KORD shows, I'm getting huge white blotches where there should be grass and trees.Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Recently after doing a few tweaks using rivatuner my groung textures are bad quality, i have a gf4 ti4600. what are the idea settings using tweaking programs?? and what are the best drivers i have 40.41 ones. i often see excellent quality screens on worst gpus than mine. thank you :-walksmilealso is fs2002 opengl or the other one, cheers :-beerchug

OK, I took the plunge this week and obtained a second monitor for my recently acquired Winfast Ti4600. BTW, this card absolutly rocks and I got it for ~ $250 at my regular spot (newegg.com). Anyway, back to the issue at hand. My initial config was with the Nvidia 40.41 beta drivers, 1280x1024/32, 4xS AA, Texture enhancement, 8xAF, High Image Quality, FS2K2 maxed except for view distance ~ 60mi, 100% ATC w/all official PAI traffic as of today, FSMeteo-5.2, PIC767 w/Poskey, and FSNav, all look smooth with no stutters at ~ 25fps on my homebuilt AMD2100 w/512mb in both full screen and window modes.Now then, I added a second Viewsonic monitor to the DVI connector on the sam…

I've tried this scenery and it looks great except where the new tarmac scenery is suppose to be there is only WHITE. No textures. It's like there is a texture file missing in the Zip file. Anyone gotten this to work ??

I downloaded and installed the B737-400 panel by Targan Unutmaz but every time I use it, it locks up FS2002 after a few minutes and the only way to unlock is to reboot. Anyone else having this problem?

I made a discovery when I also started getting this a couple of weeks ago. About every 3-4 seconds, the screen would hang for half a second and then start up OK again. Thinking about what I'd changed (didn't have this before), I recalled having just discovered Project Magenta's brilliant Whazzup utility. Sure enough, closing it stopped the 4-sec stutters. Starting it brought them back. If you're having stutter issues, you might try closing Whazzup when you don't need to look at it and see if this helps. Happy flying,Philip.

I recently upgraded my GF3 card to the new 40.71 drivers. Now I'm having a problem with my aircraft as follows:** Engine sound indicates aircraft is idling on runway but, in spot view, propeller is not spinning (i.e., Cessna C172SP Skyhawk in particular but it occurs in all propeller aircraft).** When I hit the "L" key to turn on the lights, nothing happens (lights do not come on and the switches on the panel do not turn on). Using the mouse to switch on the lights does not work immediately. The switch does go on after about a minute wait.** When I go into VC of any aircraft that has a VC, no panel gauges appear.** The throttle on my MS Force Feedback 2 does not work. P…

Hey gang,Last night I downloaded Paul Golding's wonderful MD-87 panel, reworked by M. Pinehill (SAS). The panel seems to work fine, but the main panel bitmap is very very dark, as if there should be some floodlights on or something.Has anyone else installed this panel and had concerns about the darkness?Thanks in advance,Matt

Greetings Friends,I've spent yet another day installing more scenery and aircraft. This has led me to a couple of questions for which I'm hoping someone out there can provide enlightenment. Question 1: Some time back, I downloaded a number of .air and aircraft.cfg files to replace the default files. When I finally began installing these files today, I noticed that in many cases I was being asked if I wanted to overwrite files that had been modified yesterday, yet I have never flown the aircraft (the Boeing 777 being one example). How could these files have been modified if I don't ever fly the plane? Do other aircraft alias to certain .air or aircraft.cfg files? The reaso…

Has anyone had this problem using Weather Maker? You are cleared to land on one runway, and just as you are about to land the tower clears you to land on the opposite runway. When you land, tower says you are not cleared to land!I was landing at Heathrow, cleared to land on runway 9L, just as I was about to touch down, the tower told me I was cleared to land on runway 27L. Since I was only four hundred feet about the runway I landed, only to be faced with a plane coming straight at me!I had the same problem landing at Kastrup also. Don't you just love lawyers???I gave up on Micro$qua$h w/ regard to Java VM's long ago, but it seems that IE6 SP1 (included in XP SP1) actually "snubs" Sun's VM if it's detected. I now find that IE6 will simply close (without error) if the Sun Java plug-in is enabled and Java of any kind is loaded from a webpage.I've tried unregistering MSJAVA.DLL without luck. Last night read about accurate stars and a link for more of them, well I can assure you it's nothing short of spectacular; this is exactly how I see ac passing overhead at clear winternights. No frame hits. I love it! Nightflying is getting interesting for astonomers.

I just replaced my GF2 MX400 with a new Visiontek GF4 Ti4200. I'm getting lots of blurries, and stutters that last maybe a second or two, the sim appears to hang, but the airplane keeps going, so that it can get out of control. With the resurrection in popularity of the default Beechcraft Baron 58, thanks to the recent release of the paintkit by Bob and "Ace", I thought I would remind people of a modified Baron panel I did some time ago. This modified Baron panel is really a series of "tweaks" to the default panel--such as repositioned and sized throttle quadrant, GPS, and radio stack; new panel lighting to match pictures from the Beechcraft (Raytheon) website; and new GPS shrouds to mimic the Garmin 195 handheld receiver or the Garmin 500 panel-mounted unit.
