I'm passing these on as a result of personal experience, but I can't vouch for them being foolproof on other systems.My biggest lock up problem has been with ATC set at more than about 50%. My flights, on any aircraft would always be cut short after around half an hour, sometimes less. Without ATC set high things were fairly stable.My system is reasonable: 1.4 gig Athlon, which is as fast as the XP 1.8 gig more current systems, but with plenty of RAM (512) and a GeForce 4/ 4400.During the last few months I tried everything, including BIOS settings at their most conservative, reducing hardware acceleration, different Nvidia drivers etc.I don't know why this didn't occur to…

I am just wondering if there is any way to bypass the virtual cockpit view when cycling through the views? As excellent as the VC is, I still prefer to fly it with the 2D "normal" panel. But whener I cycle views, it seems I can't avoid cycling through the VC. Thanks.

Hi folks.I have been thinking about dabbling in aircraft repaints for FS2002. Does anyone know of a good source for info about how to get started or perhaps even a tutorial of some kind? I don't even know what tools are used :) I do have Photoshop 6 but don't know if that's even usefull for this.Thanks for any info you can give!

Please take this post the RIGHT way. I love what Oleksiy Frolov has done with the Dash 8. AND I'd love to fly it. However, I just don't have the time and patience to do it right! The panel is just too involved, and getting the plane to fly without all the warning sounds, and the idiosyncracies involved is just TOO MUCH. I know all you "diehard" FSimmers will jump down my throat, but I work a 12-16 hour day, love flight simming, enjoy moving down the runway and taking a flight. Hi thereit's so unrealistic that all AI aircraft in FS2002 are completely dark when standing at their gates at night. In reality the paxe would say Thanx a lot to the pilot when he would switch off all the cabin lights after shut-down the engines at the terminal.How can I modify the aircraft files that the lights of AI aircraft are ALWAYS ON at night at the gate????Thanx for replying...:-zhelp

I'm oh so close to finishing my first scenery project! It's your "home on the range" if you like Alaskan bush flying... about 3 miles from Bush Flying Unlimited North, and only 15nm or so from Ketchikan. I sincerely hope I can upload this one soon... frankly, it's been a real pain in the butt learning scenery design. jerrycwo4Anybody had this problem? I installed the program and it looked and worked pretty good EXCEPT it made my Indicated airspeeds INCORREECT. Either I had to be going about 10 + MPH before the airspeed started off of zero (0), or when I stoped the aircraft the airspeed stayed at 12-19 mph. I don't like anything on my Fs2002 that is not 100 % correct, so I un-installed the program and went back to using "internet downloaded weather".Jerry

I was wondering if anyone knows if FS2K2 installs different files for AMD & INTEL cpu's? I just switched from AMD to INTEL and my FS2K2 install is on a different drive than the C drive. I had to format and reinstall XP on the C drive but the FS2K2 install seems to work fine without a reinstall. But I would hate to have to one by one copy files over to a new install of FS2K2. Just got it today, works fine, I like the feeling, however, I can't seem to get the prop levers to feather the failed engine. Does anyone have a fix/workaround for this? It is possible I'm doing the calibration wrong, but after reading the pfc.dll user manual, I'm stumped.Thanks in advance,Carl

...I cannot get rid of duplicate Delta flights. I've tried TTools Companion, AITM and manually searching through the flightplans.txt. The first time I ran TTools Companion, it found and removed 24 matching aircraft.txt entries, so I figured this would take care of it. Nope... I just tried a flight out of ATL again, and just about every aircraft that came into land was a dupicate. I had no probs with departures (I think). Can someone PLEASE HELP! This is driving me nuts.

Hey,I need help with setting the joystick settings in fs2k2. Something happend and my old settings are gone. I have the Microsoft Precision Pro joystick and when in on the ground, the aircraft moves from side to side so im guessing its the rudder settings giving trouble. Hello,I am a private pilot and a teacher in an elemantary school in California. Recently we were able to get a room for our computer lab and soon, if "gods" approve, we will set it up with some older PII's. Eventually I would like to teach an after school program about the world of flight with strong empahsis on flight simulation. To equip 20-30 computers with Flight Sim 2002 would be to expensive, and FS2002 wouldn't even run on some of them.
