Load PSP and create a work area about 600 x 100, this can be refined later depending on the overall size you wish to use for your signature and of course you can make it bigger or smaller, my size was just a recommendation. I soon will be building a new computer, and I would like to hear some opinions on wether I should get a P4 or an AMD CPU. I have been finding mixed reviews on the net, and it seems like most people perfer Intel chips for gaming and 3D apps. Also, how much does the FSB (front side bus) speed affect system performance?I'm sure I'll be posting more about this as soon as I start building ;).Thanks!

Hi All, I have had the aforemntioned card now for approx 3 months. I have however noticed that i cannot update the drivers without the system locking up! Instead i am stuck with the Windows XP default drivers which happen to be v5.12. After a time these too lock up and the only way to cure it is to un-install the card in the device manager and let windows recognise it on boot up! This will last for 2 - 3 weeks before i have to do it again! Has anyone got any suggestions! The lock ups only occur when fs2k2 is running. There again it is the only graphically intensive program i use at present! Cheers Daren

Hi folks. I am looking for some nice addon airport scenery for some US airports. Can anyone recommend some which have jetways to park at (rather than parking at a wall) but which are fairly good on framerates? Looking for some larger airports to fly to with my DF737 or Posky 767s...so not looking for little GA airports.I wish the default airports could have jetways and pavement parking markings at which to park...kinda ruins a nice flight arriving at the airport to park up next to a flat wall.Thanks!

Does anyone know how to configure FS2002 on one computer with two monitors to use the "instructor" feature? It appears that this set up is only for two separate computers.

Two things:1. Anyone know of a program that allows you to view AI flight plans in the type of format you'd see on an "Arrivals and Departures" Board that you'd see at the airport. Or anything like that?2. Anyone know of a program that's good for plane watching? Preferably something that allows you to move around while still being able to listen to ATC (this is something you can't do in regular slew mode.)Thanks.

I have tweaked my night lights many times over by now.I finally installed FSW's night lights and yellow set of runway lights, but there is something that bothers me seriously.The runway/taxiway lights glow like a moon. There is a bright shadow around them causing runway lighting to look like a big white bulb from a distance. It looks like I overdone it. Do you have any idea what might be causing this phenomenon? Is it my video card failing to display as it should, or is it the actual light texture files corrupted?Thanks for your help.Don

Apologies gents for the hassles with the SpeechBuddy installer and WindowsXP.I'm using InstallShield (ships with Borland's Delphi 6 Enterprise). I had the installer configured to support Win98, WinME and all versions of WinNT, Win2000 and up. Unfortunately, the installer does not recognise WinXP as a WinNT and later operating system. As I'm not running WinXP, I dug myself a hole with that one.Anyway, I have removed all restrictions from the installer ito checking if the platform meets the minimum SAPI5 requirements. This should fix the problem. "Should" as I can not test it. No WinXP as I mentioned (hey, Win98/WinME is still the best gaming platform IMO ;-)).I have submit…

This is more of a general FS2002 AI ATC settings question, not directly related to ProjectAI.I installed most of the official PAI packages and they are working OK. The problem I'm having is that I am not getting much traffic at some major US airports (i.e. KMIA, KMCO, KFLL, KEWR) while at other airports (i.e. KATL) I get way too much traffic.My FS2002 ATC percent setting is 70%, but I've tried different settings from 50% all the way to 100%. For instance, at 70% percent (a not too aggressive setting), I get very very scattered traffic at my home airport KMIA, as well as some of my most frequented destinations (KMCO, KEWR, KFLL). I have a P4 1.7 GHz, 256 MB RDRAM, GeForce 2 Pro (64 MB), 60 GB HDD.I'm generally quite happy with the performance in FS2002: The fps usually doesn't go down below 15 unless I fly in very dense scenery and/or a lot of AI traffic (which I often do...). With a cramped international airport the fps can easily go down to about 2.5.Other than that, the only problem I have with FS is that the textures tend to get blurry and not update frequently enough, but this seems to be connected to having lots of scenery and traffic too... If I fly slow over the Swedish forests the textures usually stay reasonably sharp.I'm hoping more RAM will make the textures, on both scenery, aircraft,…

Hi all,I'm having a very strage problem trying to use fs2002 with an ms force feedback pro joystick connected on the game port under winxp. The joystick seems to be recognized by s.o. as i can see and test it using the control panel, but most of the time i start fs2002 the joystick has no effect on the game and all the menu items relative to the joystick are disabled.Sometime, instead, I start fs2002 and all seems to work fine...I spent lot of time trying to find the sequence of actions that make fs2002 aware of my joystick but without any result...Please can you help me?Thanks in advance,Willy

Has anyone experienced computer lock-up while using the Flight 1 421c? Periodically my computer will just freeze and I have to turn it completely off. I have noticed it mostly while switching views, especially from standard to landing view. It doesn't seem like it should be a memory problem, see specs below. Hi All,Just wondering about this program. Seems like two in one? first part you can take real ATC flights and the other you get Real ATC chatter while flying FS2002, any comments are more then welcome. I would love to have all the ATC wave.files in this program for use with other programs I use while flying. Caution Installing WeatherCenter 1.0. It messed up my system and had to reinstall some dll's for Win98. It happened to a friend also for Win98. Sent email to author's and they are working on a fix.Bill

I installed Airane's Aeroflot GMAX aircraft not too long ago. No problem there....but recently my Flight Simulator 2002 has been acting funny. When I go to select an aircraft before flying, the resolution of the model is very poor. This is translated when I go to actually fly the aircraft. It happens for all aircraft! The funny thing is, is that when I pause the program the resolution of the a/c returns to its expected clarity. Like I said, this only happend after I installed the Ariane product.What is causing this problem...and how do I fix it???
