Ok first problem (pic attached), the textures do not show up in my default 747 virtual cockpit. Any idea why this is happening? All my other default V-Cockpits are fine.Also, I have downloaded some 3rd party 747's, is there anyway I can get a virtual cockpit to work with an add-on plane? They are using the regular 747 gagues so why not the virtual cockpit?Any help on both or either matter will be much appr.!

No, this isn't a "How do I get those darn AI aircraft to taxi at a less glacial pace?" post. My question is "What speed settings work best for you?"I initially changed mine to 20 knots. This seemed reasonable to me when I was at an airport without a tremendous amount of traffic (UHPP - Petropavlovsk), but when I made it to Anchorage, it seemed that 20 knots was rather NASCAR-esque.I'm just looking to get a feel for where people set their AI speeds so that I can get something more "normal."Thanks in advance!

I have always wondered why no one adds the lights on the horizontal stabilizers of the 747. I have always seen two little lights on the very tips of these control surfaces when I watch 747s takeoff and land. Does anyone know why designers don't add these lights to their FS models??? From PSS to Microsoft, everyone adds the one unrealistic tail light that sits on the very tip of the tail. I have never seen a 747 with this one light on the tail, but they do have the two lights I mentioned above.

When I start fs2k pro, the 747 splash screen appears, then a box indicating that there is 3rd party software(traffic.dll) incompatible with fs2k and gives me a choice yes or no whether i wish to load it or not. I have tried both answers with the same result...fs2k just disappears compeletely. I located the file in the fs2k modules file and in c:windowssystem files...deleted them and then extracted them again from the install cd...still the same results. I could find no such topics on the Microsoft site. Any help is appreciatedDirk

I don't know if this is the proper forum, but here goes anyway. I am having trouble accessing Calibre Software's website. I am really wanting to download the updated Weather Maker, but I keep getting "error 403 not authorized to view this page". Is anybody else having this problem or is it just on my end somehow? If the Avsim webmasters are reading, it might be a good idea to make sure the link is correct. (I don't think you would make such an error, but anything is possible.)Thanks for any [email protected]

I know all about adding an entry in the FS2002.CFG file to eliminate the diagnostic message complaining about old dll software but how do I stop FS2002 from complaining about loading an old gauge? The gauge in question is dc9.hsi2.gau - dated 7/2001, and the gauge appears to work okay when it is loaded so I would like to keep on using it. However, I always get a diagnostic message from FS2002 telling me I am about to load 3rd party software that may not be compatible. I tried treating it like I would a dll by putting an entry under the OLD MODULES section of the cfg file but that didn't work. Any suggestions?Stan V.

I usually run at 1792 x 1344 x 32. Which card would look best in FS? I'm guessing they will perform similarly. And when does NV30 debut?Noel

OK, I give up. I've been trying to get the Cessna 182S to climb to FL 110 and it just gives up as if it has no power and stalls. I have everything trimmed well I think and I start off nice at a climb rate of 500 fpm and 80 kts airspeed. As I get to about 7000 ft, my airspeed starts to go down to about 60. I try prop control, mixture, and even let the autopilot try with a vertical speed of 500 fpm. I still can't seem to get a decent climb speed of 80. I thought the Cessna performance specs allow for FLs above 10000. I don't seem to have a problem at 4000 or 5000 ft, just above. What am I doing wrong? I follow the checklist. Thanks. :-hmmm

I have noticed from day 1 of flying with FS2002 that you should be able to control the direction of the push back. The default keys for this are the "1" and "2" keys, or atleast so I think.Unfortunately I cannot turn to the left or to the right, only straight backwards. This has caused problems when using large aircraft in tight spots....I am sure I am missing something really simple (key assignments or a tick somewhere):( :(.Simply put how do I turn the plane during pushback??????Thx in advance for any help.Jonathan Boshuizen

Good morning to all: I've unfortunately been away from the computer for a few weeks. Yesterday and today I attempted to download FS2k's real time weather but it could not/would not connect. Is anyone else having trouble with this? R/Mike

I have a problem using the approach hold on the 2 POSKY planes I have. The plane lands about half a mile before the start of the runway. I thought this was just a POSKY specific problem, but the Project Airbus plane I downloaded also seems to have this problem. The default aircraft land on the runway perfectly.Is it me, is it FS2k2 or is it the aircraft. I'd be glad to hear from anyone who could help, coz there's a lot of great aircraft being made, and I can't seem to use them!Thanks

Hi, an aircraft which I produced is shown in the latest uploaded aircraft as a concept design Boeing, and the author is shown as Wilco Van Egmond.The aircraft is as original with no changes. The text files show the correct author details as Nick Pike, that is, me. Can this be allowed. The uploader did not contact me to ask permission. In fact, this is an old design, and has had 3 updates since. Also, it is shown as an FS2002 aircraft when it is for FS2000 only. I am in fact working on an FS2002 version at the moment with new XML panel.Thanks for your attention,Nick Pike.

Hi all, I cannot see from the external view the nose wheel steer. The plane turns, but the nose gear does not turn. Meljets 747 works and in some planes the nose wheel works but Mike Stone's 727s does not work. Same things happens to Yeodesigns 737-200. The plane turns but he nose landing gear does not turn left ro right. They all worked before. Anyone else experience this?Thanks,Bill
