Hi GeofI am asking you for help because I have a problem involving something I can't get to work -- and I can see that it works perfectly in the panel of your DEB.This has to do with battery and generator switches and low voltage lights.I have a panel which has a battery switch and a low voltage light -- it has no generator switch. The battery switch will light up various gauges in the panel and will allow the aircraft to be started but the low voltage light does not do anything -- so I replaced it with a new XML design (but lo and behold , this one also does not do anything). These 2 lights remains unlit at all times.I can't help but feel that this problem has something…

I Want to upgrade my motherboard. But not sure which to run Pentium 4 OR Athlon/Duron. Does FS2002 Run better on one processor than the other? Any input would help.Thanks GKJR.

I'm talking about trying to run MSFS under a Linux Windows compatible OS. Recently read a review of one of the Linux based product (can't remember the name... "X something) which allowed smooth operation of softwares like MSOffice. I can't imagine that anybody would open that can of worms... but maybe somebody was desperate enough to try it.

Been using the fantastic Deb from Geofa for a couple of weeks now. Love it, but I noticed a few glitches, and wondered if anyone else sees them ...1) Flaps don't extend. I only get the first level of flap deployment in the air. Try anything past that (ie hit F7 again) and it complains that I am above the Vfe when I am NOT. However, when stopped on the ground I CAN get them to deploy much further - looks like about 40 degrees or so. Boy, if I could get those boards out in the air, it would make short field work more interesting!!2) Autopilot won't disengage. Hi there! I just wnated a litlle more info on understanding the new version of TT Tools which has the new arrival time format for Ai planes? Like if i make a plan with the "@" in the plans, does this mean i can make anytime for the plane to arrive at the gate by using the @ in the flight plans? Is this corerct, or does it still go by the Ai planes speed in TT Tools? Since i see guy's now making new Ai plans in this new format i want to understand it better? So can someone verify what exactly does putting the "@" in the Ai plans do, as i know in the readme it says that the times after the "@" is the time it arrives at the gate, not like before where the arrival time was on…

hope you can help, I utilized their base installer plus a couple of their autoloading airlines. It works great except that ALL the orginal FS2k2 airlines are now gone, all I have is the Project AI ones. This leave almost all of the airport empty, I understood that ProjAI 'supplements' the existing airlines but it appears that it replaces them in total. This is great if your flying out of the ProjAI aircraft major hubs, but sucks if you dont.Now, I have looked thru all of my 3 FS2k2 CD's, can someone tell me where the FLIGHTPLANS.TXT original file could be on these CD so that I can copy it over??thanks

Hi I am in a tough spot with with XP installation and want to know if any one has a workaround for thisThe situation is that XP upgrade installs perfectly when I start it from the XP bootable cd. It never complains nigles, balks, fits, or even hints at any problem whatsoever and unfolds its massive self perfectly onto my lowly AMD 450mhz machine and amazingly it works very responsibly and smooth on my machine. and responds very nicely to half a dozen or so services turned off The Current Problem is I went back to WinME some time back to get a better Flightsim experience at least 15 more FPS than XP on my setupNow I want to consider upgrading WinMe with my XP upgrade CD h…

I tried for two days to install Norton's System Works 2003 on my XPHOME system. N2002 worked great.Clean Sweep kept freezing up on install.I can't install a single component without being asked for that specific Disk.Norton's wants to charge for Phone support.Anybody else having problems?Way off subject but needed to vent.If none of you nice people do not reply to this post I understand.Thanks.Jim Alcorn

While the FSFlightmax system has TCAS (real world and sim world), most GA planes have a more modest system (if any at all!). Does anyone know of a realistic TCAD gauge for GA? ThanksDavid

For those who create afd files with Afcad, i found something of interest tonight to solve the problem of aircraft piling up on the holding node. Despite the holding line the node should be within and not further away from the runway then the runways width. No need to put rows of dots in front or behind the holding spot, in fact, use as less as possible nodes and believe it or not, framerates will rise.Good luck, in case someone mentioned this before, pay no attention. I had some initial issues with the FSD Seneca but after a weekend of tweaking the sub panels, it has finally supplanted my beloved C421. All it required was the engine instruments (including the engine monitor) and the Nav/Com2 radio on separate panels that could be dragged to a second monitor. Nav/Com1? The FSGarmin530 fits there perfectly and works well with the fake FSD 430. The remaining panels I've moved to the upper monitor because I seldom need to use them.All important switches have been wired via a Hagstrom board. The switch panels themselves are bitmaps from the C421, fitted with switches from Radioshack and Mouser. Rotary switches are just too much trouble and …

Last night I upgraded my video drivers (28.32 to 40.72), directx (to 8.2) and installed SP1. I loaded them in that order and checked FS2k2 after each install and all seemed normal. Then I tried a flight and went to tbe kneeboard to look up an ILS frequency previously saved and only the first line under the NOTES tab was there. Checked the other tabs...same result...first line only. Then went to MAP view and clicked the airport and only the first line of the data appeared (airport name and IACO). Rolled back to the old video drivers and the problem remained so it's either SP1 or DX8.2. I set restore points all along the way so I can go back to where I was last night …

I can't find a download though for the upgrade patches (v 1.2 is avialable to purchase as a new product, but I understood that there was a free upgrade to either 1.1 or 1.2). I'm wondering if there is any fixes for the multiplayer chat box not scrolling down to the bottom in any NT based OS (2k and XP, not NT itself). Its not scrolling at all when you type something or get a message from someone else. When I was running in Win98 and WinMe a while back the chat box was working properly with both FS2000 and FS2002. Its really starting to get on my nerves now since I fly in formation a lot. I gotta drag the scrollbar to the bottom of the chat box to see what the other user said.
