Hi,in FS2000 I could enable 'landing analyis' via the menu 'flight analysis' (not sure if it is the right translation, because I use a German version) to get the touch down fpm rate of the next landing. In FS2002 I have that menu point too and in the online help it's also described how to enable 'landing analyis', but I have NO option to choose in the 'flight analysis' window like mentioned in the online help. I can only see the flight analysis, but I can not enable anything else ('course tracking' should be able to enable, too). Have I made anything wrong? I can not remember the details of FS2000 anymore, but I thought there were no special secrets to consider. Thanks, Th…

Does anyone know how you get ATC to say your callsign as something like, 'British Airways 124' instead of simply, '124'? I recently installed a 757 which calls itself 'Red Rock' and then the flight number, and ATC says this perfectly. My guess is that you have to input some dictionary-like pronunciation instructions into the program, but does anybody have the real answer? Thanks!

Greetings, everyone. I am just curious to know if anyone's been having trouble downloading real world weather lately? One day the weather option worked fine for me and now it looks up FS2002. Thanks for any light here. All the best for 2003,

HiI am using PM flight planner to create routes for FS2002 however their is one thing that I am stuck on! That is identifying the airways! The FS2002 flight planner does not include airway names. If I know what navaids I want to fly to I cannot enter them into PM flight planner because I do not know the airway names. Does anyone know were I can find out airway names from?(I don't want to buy a payware flight planner!)Thanks guys.

Hi AllI was a little confused when I read the announcement from RealityXP.I remembered the FSAvionics version of the Garmin had been out for quite a while but for some reason I thought Reality-XP had something to do with that release. From what I can tell, the Reality-XP version will be a gauge. I wonder how the two products will compare functionally? RegardsBobG

I am new to flight sims and just installed FS2002 Pro on a new custom built computer. I'm pleased with the graphics quality, but have a very specific question about the scenery as I don't know what to realistically expect. I'm generally very pleased with the scenery quality, but, of course it could be better. My problem is that I don't know what is a realistic expectation and what graphic imperfections are normal regardless of the system being used. The "imperfection" that I find most irritating is the "shimmying/shaking/crawling, etc.) of buildings to my front. Tall buildings in particular are never still and "wiggle" around while flying toward them. I suspect that…

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make the airport beacons in FS2002 more easy to see from far distance, like in the real world where the pilots look for them at night to find the airport. The ones on there now are really crappy and you have to be like 500ft from them to be able to see them!

This is basically a one item wish-list for FS2004 which I thought I would post online so other people can comment. It is regarding the way the rudder functions in MSFS.My first flight simulator was FS2000, which I bought about 2 years ago. At the time, I had never had the opportunity to fly at the controls of a real aircraft. Even so, based on my limited understanding of aerodynamics, I had an expectation that the rudder could be used for limited directional control. After using FS2000 for awhile though, I found out that this was not the case. As anyone who has every used the simulator has I'm sure observed, applying rudder does indeed swing the nose of the aircraft r…

After installing DirectX 9, I keep experiencing complete system freezes when flying with FS2002.I have observed that such freezups happen at an instant when I use voice during an online flight, or the instant when a voice ATC message is played by the default FS2002 ATC.I do not remember experiencing a freeze at a time that some type of voice was not activated, but I am not 100% sure.On two occasions, when I tried to come out of the freeze hitting various key combinations, I got a message that my system was very low on resources, and that it could stop operating!I then installed the MS Resource Meter, but during my next freeze the indicator was "frozen" showing 56% free re…

I have almost exclusively flown the PSS airbus since it's release. I think it's a wonderful package and clearly I'm a big fan of the airbus and it's systems. I'm considering purchasing the Dash but it's been hard to gage it's popularity amongst serious flyers by postings in these forums. I'm not asking if it's quality work by Pheonix as I am sure it is :-), but how do other airbus fans like flying the dash and does it now make up a substantial part of their flying ?Usually I would just buy it and try it but money is tight. I have just sold the condo and bought a new house so I will have the room for a home cockpit. Gee!! is this hobby getting expensive. :7ThanksSteveCYYZ

does the 767 have random failures on flights? I mean can you set up a flight and have the possibility of having a failure or not without actually setting it up before the flight. I always found setting up a failure rather pointless because i expect it. Thanks for any replies.

Is there any program to make a flightplan for FS2002 without being in FS2002? I bought various programs over the years for FS98 and FS2000 but nothing will work for FS2002. When I was flying commercial a few years ago, I bought FlightStar 7 and someone made a program to transfer FlightStar flightplans to FS2002 but for later versions of FlightStar and an upgrade will cost me another arm, one leg and both testicles! So I'm stuck with what I have and I do not want to activate FS2002 and use FSNav all the time because sometimes it is just nice to sit and plan flightplans with JeppView and would love to copy them to FS ...Thanx for letting me know, if you do know of something…

Hi,With an oldish panel when I tried to select a freq of 597.5 on the ADF FS2002 would not select to .5 on the radio. In the days of old FS2000 and before there was a section that allowed you to change that but I can't see anything similar in FS2002.I can select this in a newer panel and I've looked thru various files and forums and can't find a fix.Can anyone point me in the right direction please.Rgds Ron
