Hi folks,can anyone help me in adjusting PB car distance from the aircraft? Everytime i start a new flight i have the same trouble in finding the correct value to insert in the box (-, +, 100, 200, 300,.....).Any input much appreciated.cheersLuigi ;-)

I've been reading a topic in the designforum about Radio Height. Some issues with the XML and C gauges and stuff. But actually, this brings us down to one major issue with FS. MS brings us a sim with a basic set of possibilities and we, 3rd party designers, have to come up with something to add some really good realism to it. This can result in some heavy C programming with the necessary bugs.I've been thinking and came up with some ideas. I have tried FPDA callout gauges (aAirbus and Boeing one) in some panels but it does not what i want. Concretly i look for ATR callout sounds for Eurowings panel, but if it does not exist i would like probe with another ones.

How do you turn on the external lighting (the light that illuminates the vertical stabilizer)?I have the captain sim 727 standard release. The nice night textures with the external lighting don't show up.Is there a switch? Many thanks for your help.

Is it possible to limit the area with the quality of graphics to be loaded. For example, At and around some certain complex airport from a certain distant, use the least texture setting to increase framerates since that's when you are going to do the approaches. While, say 10 miles from complex area and/or the subject is above 10,000 feet, texture setting could be max, so you could enjoy sight seeing. I think this approach would be reasonable but is it possible in FS2002?

Just a heads up that the new autogen scenery fix for Hong Kong posted by newcomer Eddie Chan is excellent for a first effort. Works with default, Roger Mole's recent work and even Thomas Kwong's scenery (which I use myself) with only minor and quite acceptable conflicts. The file is referenced on my site with all other available Hong Kong downloads or at Avsim today as hongkong.zip.Well done, Eddie, great work. There's about a 2FPS frame rate hit, perhaps, but it's well worth the pain. Eddie has said, by the way, that if anyone can help him with accurate mapping photos of HK he'll try to make his autogen more accurate. I'm interested to know from anyone how it works …

Is there an area on the net (other than e-bay - days of waiting, but if you are not online in the last ten seconds, forget it) were one can pick up used yokes, etc.? Have been hankering to try one, but can't justify another $300 for yoke and rudder pedals, when I have a perfectly good HOTAS in front of me!

Have a look at the screenshot included.This is from the virtual cockpit view. Now, I know that the model does not have a virtual cockpit (as stated in the docs)... so why did they include this flat panel that takes away your rear view? It seems quite unnecessary, especially when it partially block the view of the wonderful wings and engine while your in the 2D panel and look back.This is just a trivial issue, of course, as the package is absolutely superb. But, is there any way to simply remove it? Unfortunately, the V2 is only cargo... and I really like my V1 in Groends livery.Any ideas, or am I stuck with it?

I'm new to MSFS2002, but I've been active with MSTS for over a year and a half now, and decided to broaden my 'horizons'! I've got 2 simple questions:1. How do you take screen shots in MSFS2002? It's obviously not that same as MSTS, because I've tried (and can't find anything about it in the docs)!! :)2. First of all, where's CaptainSim military discipline!? For an ex-military, I expected much more from Alex and his team. He just quit his duty, his own selfimposed release. Hi all!Well, today is my birthday, and I recieved an Arcade FX GeForce4 MX440 as a gift. I installed the hardware, and installed the 4.1.0.9 Nvidia drivers. When I booted up FS, I noticed a good performance increase, but all my ground and scenery textures looked blurry, and the water animations were gone. I tried fooling with the display settings, but to no avail. It then hit me that somehow, multi-texturing was disabled on the hardware! I tried running the NVidia configurator, and fooled with those settings, but still with no joy. I tried 'Googling' for information on enabling (or improving) multi-texturing, and returned no useful results. Anyway, in the meantime,…

Hi, I've been training to get my PPL and I have about 17.5 hours, and my flight instructor says I'm about ready to fly solo. However, the weather has been mostly IFR and I recently I got an oppurtunity to fly when the weather was clear. I hadn't flown in a month, and I was making stupid mistakes like not enough rudder for crosswind landings and not turning my transponder onto the appropriate mode. Is MSFS more counter-productive than helpful in terms of keeping fresh on flying? Or is it just because of the big interval between flights? Thanks for any help.

I installed FS Sky World and put all the clouds in and got everything setup properly except I have one problem.Why are the clouds flat when I fly through them. In FS2k the clouds would be puffy so they looked 100% real. In FS2k2 from far away and up until I fly through them they look great, but then when I fly through them or close to them they go flat.Can someone please help explain what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this.Thanks and Happy New Year!tHE cHEMiST.
