Is there a good utility available for planning fuel usage for a variety of aircraft? FS2002 seems to calculate just flying fuel.I downloaded FSNavigator, and it looks much nicer, but it costs $35. I'm wondering if it's worth the money, or is there something out there free?thanksJeff

I currently use a Hobbs odometer type gauge that records the hours the engine has been running in an aircraft. It's the aviation equilavent of an odometer in a car.Unfortunately, the only verions I've been able to find were originally designed for FS98 and although they function in FS2002, there is a problem. They only actually log the hours when in 2D Panel mode. Any time spent in spot view or V.C. doesn't get recorded by the gauge.Does anyone know of an FS2002 compatible version that records the hours irrespective of the view being used?

Hi all,I would like to get my first experience in multiplayer, so I went to the zone to join a game and this is where the trouble started. If I click on join a game, FS2k2 starts, but never is able to connect.I found someone who tried to help and he hosted a game, so I could connect without going to the zone.I typed his IP in the multiplayer connection field in FS2k2 and clicked search, but nothing was ever found and the "join" button was not available. Here is my setup:P4 2.8 512ram TI4200WinXP pro with SP1 installedDX9 installedBTW CFS3 works fine in multiplayer. After all I checked, I came to the conclusion that it is a router setup problem.I have the default XP firewall …

When approaching Narita (Japan) airport 16R, on occassion the ATC hand-off will go from Tokyo Approach to Nagoya approach, and then back to Tokyo approach again, and finally Narita Approach. Nagoya is no where near Tokyo. This seems to happen in the vacinity of RJTJ - about N35.47.64 E139.25.71. Anyone know why this might be happening? Is there a way to edit the sector files in FS2K2 to correct this? Thanks,Mark

I have had the PCI version of the Yoke and Pro Pedals for several years, they have served me well, and I would not want change(except possibly to USB). But I think the pedals are showing a bit of wear, they are a bit "grindy" at the null spot. I was thinking of removing the base (there are many small screws) but I am scared that if I take the base off there will be springs and parts flying everywhere!Has anyone ever dismantled the pedals and is it straightforward?NigelVancouver

I see that the new 757 can only be downloaded off of the ifdg forum, I don't really want to create a new screen name just to get the plane. Could you upload it here to avsim. Also, has the website changed or is it down?

FSDS-2, and for dynamic wing view lovers, this bird has 'em. I DL'd it today, and it's very nice--with 5 liveries in a 3 meg package. Doesn't have a sophisticated panel, but those are easy to come by. Here's a link to the thread where I discovered this bird. I added some shots of my own, so you get a good idea of what this has to offer....-Johnhttp://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID47

jerrycwo4A couple of days ago I purchased the "My Traffic" from WWW.simMarket.com but I'm not sure I have everything installed.1. I installed "My Traffic", vr 1.1 to harddrive.2. I installed "My Traffic Base_sound Patch to hard drive. At the end of these two installs was a message of a choice to let an "auto installer" change the 'scenery.cfg' or you could do it manualy through the "ADD" in the scenery library. I chose to have the "auto installer" do the work. When I checked the scenery.cfg both entries were listed: 1. MyTrafficATC 2. MyTrafficAFDWhen I checked the scenery library, only the "MyTrafficATC" was listed and NOT the "MyTrafficAFD"When I tried to install…

Hey gang,I landed about 10 minutes ago on a Seattle-Seoul flight and when I was about 50 miles out I switched to the map view just to see what was around me. So I started clicking on various airports, and when I clicked on Z18K, the screen said for runway type "mats."I had never seen this before, so once I had landed I went to Z18K, and sure enough, it looks like rubber mats laid down in a nice straight line. Has anyone seen this in real life? Is it really a runway made out of rubber mats? What are the advantages/disadvantages of such an application?Happy New Year everyone,

Am I missing some step in Control Manager? The devices are there... Just not able to see them in FS 2002.Both devices the yoke and pedals do not show up under controllers in Windows XP, but they are in the system device manager under CH Products.Any ideas?Barry

Hello fellow Simmers. Here is a wish for the Soaring guy. Because, now and then or often, I like to take a rest from the growling of my Radial engines, or the whistling and banging of my Tiger Moth. and get some relaxing time thermaling, listening to just the wind and my heart beat......I am dreaming,(cause I do not know how to do this), that someone nice would put some flying around gliders over those nice gliding fields we have. Wow, glider traffic, that would be great!!!Would it not be fun to go join up with those AI gliders and thermal side by side like in the real world?Oh yes, a note to the gliding site designers: Please do not put too much lift on the approaches…

Hey everybody. I don't know if you guys are into the more technical aspects of FS2002 and I don't know whether you will be able to help, but I will ask anyways. In afcad, I am trying to make my home aiport (CYXU, in London, Ontario, Canada, about 200KM SW of Toronto) use all the runways as active runways. This would be easy if they were paralell but unfortunately they are intersecting. I don't want Simulatenous Intersecting Runway Operations, I just want ATC to give me (for example) runway 09 if the winds are 14G24KT@090 MAG, INSTEAD of giving me runway 15, which is silly for that kind of crosswind. The runways that exist are 33/15, and 27/09 and they intersect. I've tried…
