I've downloaded a photo-real cockpit for a piper archer III I have, but when I switch to the VC, I see the image of the old cockpit (with no gauges now!). How do I edit the plane to show me a 'wide-open' view, like some of the other planes I have that don't have the VC to begin with from their designers?ThanksScott

I mentioned the full motion thingie, ya know, the deal with the PVC tube type cockpit that rocked and rolled as you flew and I almost became a single person.All I can say is: Far OUT!Captain, you have a heck of a setup and I gota tell you: Well DONE!...and we all thought those stick actuators were just looking for the room numbers of the stews. After a long layoff from simming (too much work, not enough time), I'm trying to get back in the saddle (or should that be cockpit?). I jump in the 172, taxi to the runway, and as I cross from the "smooth" tarmac to the "rough" runway (probably gravel), the aircraft bounces violently and the engine shuts down. And I'm taxining as SLOW as I can!Will there ever be a sim without something ridiculously wrong with it?-Basil

Hi everyone,I have a strange problem with my video card. Each time I reduce the visibility below 64km the GMAX aircrafts dissapper. The same thing happens for the FSDS2. Fortunately all the old FSDS aircraft are visible. I have a PIII at 1.2 with a S3 Savage IXC166, Win2000, FS2002 Pro and Directx9. I tried all the options including lowering the resolution and changing the colors from 16bit to 32bit. Do you have any ideas how can I solve this problem? Skyhawk

Help!As I write this desperate request, I am still dizzy from being in a constant right hand level rotation in slew mode. I have no idea what has happened. I have checked all cfg files and key assignments. I have compared them to saved ones and see no difference. At this time, trying backed up cfg files (not my entire FS2002 folder) I still go into this right handed dizzying flat rotation - on the ground, in the air, doesn't matter.I had been working with AFCAD and AI Traffic Mover a couple of days ago and was using the slew mode in top down view (Ctl S) to try to realign taxiways and parking spaces with the way AI traffic was going.If I hit the number pad 5 it freeze…

Hi friends,as known AITM is often unable to correct 100% of flight plans flight times errors.Last time i used AITM it left 4 flightplans errors: 2 of them were Max Turn Around errors and the others were Total Flight Time errors.Once errors detected, how can i correct those errors manually?Thanks in advance for helpingcheersLuigi ;-)

Congratulations to Tom and all the rest of the staff at AVSIM for the award given by Vflight.org. I simply couldn't imagine an Internet life without AVSIM - the first thing I do in the morning and before I go to bed is reading the latest at AVSIM, not to mention all the visits I do in between. :) I wonder how many of you out there have AVSIM as the start page!It's a hard work and a fine balance you have to make considering that all us simmers out there must be the most demanding bunch of guys (and girls) you are likely to encounter out there on the web! I have to say that AFG have made a very loving recreation of the YS-11, an unusual little commuter prop. The visual model is superb and with the 2.0 release, the cockpit and virtual cockpit are very nice too. In fact, I consider this one of the finest panels I have for fs2k2. The key systems are modelled, especially the ones that make the YS-11 unique like water/methanol injectors, fuel cocks, the unique engine rpm control system, and more. It even models failures when you abuse the systems! I recently got a new computer with WinXP. When I try to run certain aircraft in FS2002 I get the dreaded '3d party software error message .. read the Readme file in FS2002'. (I did!!) The error refers to the .MDL file.Here is the kicker .. I ran these aircraft successfully on my old computer with Win98 and FS2002 so the only difference I can see is the OS.Would anyone have any ideas on why this is and possibly a fix?The aircraft .. an Air Canada DC-9 by Project Freeware (for FS2000) a Dash 8 by Barry Blaisdell (for FS2000)I know both where made for FS2000 but again, they worked fine in FS2002 and Win98. Just thought I'd let everyone know I found a way to make the 727 flyable and less of a hassle in the air. As said before the Tech Release flew like a 727 unlike the final release. So the simple solution for the 727-100 is to use the '.air' file that came with the Technical release on the 727-100 in the final release. Works great although I have not tested the plane at 31,000ft. You will also need to adjust the wing_incidence and the htail_incidence in the aircraft config file to '0.000'. This adjust the pitch of the nose in flight. I flew the plane around and it seemed to perform well in flight. I did the same thing for the 727-200 and it seems to be performing bet…

When my HD crashed 2 weeks ago while fixing that problem I took the opportunity to do a moderate upgrade to my AMD 1.4 PC - including going from 256 MB to 512 MB of RAM and upgrading my GeForce2 64MB video card to a Geforce4 Ti4200 128 MB.Imagine my horror when instead of the silky smooth framerates I was expecting with this new rig I now have a bad case of the stutters - and not just with FS2002 - also with CFS3, IL-2, and StrikeFighters:Project1 - so it looks like a system problem. The FPS counter in FS2000 shows a solid 30 FPS (with lock at 30 enabled). Stuff runs smooth for 3 seconds, pauses for about .5 seconds, runs for 3 more seconds, pauses .5 seconds etc etc. …

I love the new BAE 146, but I think it warns excessively when even flying by the books. "Sink Rate" "Pull Up" "Glideslope" keep bleating even when descending perfectly on the glideslope. Please tell me how to silence these warnings. What do I edit? Stan

Hi evereyone!Just wondering if the Eurowings Pro package comes with any afcads for the airports included? I would like to buy it but if it doesnt have this feature, seems like a waste of money cos i always use the ai traffic from PAI. I've looked in the file libraries but cant find any afcads for the package.Any help would be much appreciated.Richard

I know that with overlays that when landing the aircraft contacts ground that is nearest the centerpoint. Does this hold true when departing? After an AI contacts clearance delivery is he given to the correct ground to taxi to the correct runway for t/o? Most of the ones I've done I've slit them right down the middle and that works.John

I'm running an 800 mhz machine with FS2002 so I'm pretty strapped for Horsepower.I would love to get one of the Terrain Mesh programs for better scenery but am worried about the performance aspect...will I take a hit with these 30 meter Terrain Mesh programs?Thanks,Greg
