Whats with the "no pics" rule all about? I,m sorry to have been among those that broke the 700 pix rule though I do host the pics on my own $ite, I didn't even give it a thought as this is/has been home, and I'm just comfy posting pics now and then here as I dont g"et out" much to the other forums just the same, This is the premier Flightsim news and forum site on the web and must have rules, but wingless creepers what happen? please reconsider...please?You O'le Mule! :-eek

I have recently started to download additional aircraft from the libraries.I have downloaded 2 Russian aircraft, Il-86 and Tu 154 as comparisons to the western types.Get the panels but no guages, help!!

Well now that I've upgraded to a faster machine and can run all the bells and whistles at full throtle, I've discovered a frustrating situation. When waiting in line to take off at a busy airport (say Washington-Dulles)there can be very large intervals while waiting for AI planes to approach. In real life several planes could be cleared and take off while waiting for some aircraft to make finals. I've waiting as long as 5 minutes for clearance with no plane in sight. Is there anyway to tweak the parameters so one can have more realistic time intervals between take offs and waiting for AI approaches??Just wondering, and thanks in advance.JEH

For whatever reason my throttles operating eratically. They seem to jump up to full throttle after a few minutes and even after disconnecting all controls and using the keyboard the same problem persists. Any ideas????

I only have the money to purchase one addon right now, and I can't decide between the CS 727 and the Ready for Pushback 742.But here's the catch: I only care about the sheer realism of the panel right now. I don't really care about the visual model; as for the flight model, the customer service, documentation, intangibles, etc., I already have my own opinion.So if you were a hard-core panel realist like me, which would you choose? I read the read me again...:) I am trying to make some GA trafic out of several small non tower airports in New England. I am using just the default install of 18 aircraft that come with the program, nothing fancy yet. I have used AFCAD to succesfully place towers and parking spots at all the fields I am wanting traffic at. I then go into GA maker and attempt to input the airport using the _ followed by a three letter identifier. It still says it cannot find the airport. It works fine for any airport with a K or C Icao ident but not the three letter ones. I will atempt one or two more times after reinstalling then just wait and see what others are doing to make it work. …

I have had FS2002 for about 8 months now on my Dell Deminsion 8200 and I have tried both settings without and with mip mapping. I find the clouds especially Chris Willis fsskyworld look very atmospheric with mip mapping on. I also find the auto gen and other buildings look very smooth and nice. The planes look even better in some respects but not in others. Looking at a plane on the side looks nice. But if you have an angle to it like looking mostly at the cockpit but not as much of the side it will look more blurry.What I am not happy about is the fact the ground looks very blurry in front of the plane. I'm trying to add AI traffic to some airports. Everything worked as expected for Merrill (Anchorage, AK). Had a great ATC experience flying out of Anchorage over to McGrath. So next I tried to create some AI traffic for McGrath. No joy, so far. McGrath lacks a tower, as do most of the locations picked for flightplans with GA_Maker. So I added tower frequencies for McGrath and some other locations with AFCAD. But when I start back up at McGrath, I have no AI traffic, nor is the tower frequency available in the ATC window. Am I missing something? If so, what? TIA.-Basil

Hello IM thinking about purchasing Frankfurt EDDF and Amsterdam EHAM airport sceneries.Frankfurt for example is made by Simflyers and also the German airports version.I know that Amsterdam has a version by lago and a version that comes with Netherlands 2000 and that one is free.Which ones do you use or what ones do you think are best?ThanksCraig Kiltie

One of my pet peevs about atc is if the weather is above mins at the destination airport and on final approach, the tower gives instructions to make traffic for another runway.If the original runway was not the acive runway then why does atc clear you for that approach in the first place? This does not happen in real life!!

Just installed win xp, and soundblaster live (XP install) and get static on all of the speakers at medium to low throttle settings. Has anyone experienced this issue--and if so is there a fix? Thanks in advance for your assistanceMark

Well, I was wondering what might happen. Yes, I have found that FSPlanet has posted my Eze project to their web site without prior authorization, which is required as noted in the documents. Nels Anderson was at least good enough to e-mail me first before posting it at FlightSim.I had thought that since there was such a commotion about this topic just a little while back, it probably wouldn't happen. Oh well, I guess I'll just take it as a compliment. He did give it a Five Star rating, whatever good that means knowing his history. I just wonder where it will end up now. Hi everyone.I noticed a post here the other day about people wanting to know how to remove the static planes from the sim wings spanish and canary islands scenery. Ive just been on the simwings website and they have just posted a utility that does this itself.Its at www.sim-wings.deIn the download section.I havent tried it yet but at least this helps in getting rid of the static planes at the airports that they make.Craig Kiltie

Well folks, the new forum system was not ready for prime time, as they say. It worked fine with only a few folks on at any given time, but given the load of this morning, we found that it bound up the server's processes pretty durned quickly. That, and there a few other issues that didn't become apparent until we had users using it. So, we have shut it down and gone back to the "old" forum. For those that posted messages in the new forums, those are now gone, as there is no way for us to import those to this system.

Okay, I know some of you are going to laugh, but bear with me here.In FS2002,... in the display options... on the hardware page... where it says "Hardware Lights"... and you can set it between "1" and "8"...... correct me if I'm wrong... but that number determines the number of lights in the simulator that actually ILLUMINATE (light up) the objects that are near the light, right?In other words, if I have 3 beacons on the fuselage, and my hardware light setting is at "1"... only ONE of those 3 lights will actually illuminate the fuselage and anything near enough to the light.
