Hi All:I have a P-4 2.4 with a intergrated shared memory Intel Extreme Graphic card. I have been noticing that frame rates are droping along with extreme pauses. I can put a PCI graphics card in my machine. It does not have a AGP slot in it. First question that I have is there a good PIC card that I could purchase that would work with my system? If so which one would you recommend. Computer make, indicated that PCI video card will not give as good as performance as AGP card. I am looking at a Geforce 4 card or similar card. Or should I just go out and have a new mother board installed. I am sure it would fit in my computer as it is quite large. The motherboard must have a…

Hi guys, I would like to run met vis in sim between 5 and 10 miles, say6 and 7 miles which as you know can't be done with the FS wx box. FSUIPC has vis functions, but how to get it to set 6-7 milesvis. I did experiment a little, but was very unsure of the end result, can someone with a bit more sim savy them myself help at all?thanks,Steve

Have just finished flying the new MelJet B772 and putting her through the paces. I am amazed at the beauty of this beast and the lack of frame rate degradation. So much for so little. She flies well. I am in the process of linking this bird up with Pheonix's 777 panel and so far there are only a few minor issues.Melvin Rafi is the best in aircraft design and modeling. Thanks Melvin for this marvel and thanks for the split rudder and all the other special touches. The main gear also turns during extreme maneuvering (which should not occur under normal conditions). Extreme close-ups are very detailed and well-rounded. The night lighting is also a sweet.Thanks Melvin.

I was reading in the posts in the PSS forum that there will be an updated PSS 744 and 772 with VC and updated panels and sounds. Very nice! I can't wait for that!!!!

Anyone working on such a repaint?GrantM

The external night lighting (e.g. the spotlight on the tail) doesn't show up. Is there a switch or a setting so that the night textures are enabled? Any help appreciated, thanks

Just visited the site. Something strange going on there.

I got impatient waiting on a Piedmont livery so I started one myself. I am doing it to help me learn all the cool little things you can do with textures in Paintshop Pro. I still have a few tweaks to go, then add some shine here and there. But for now i'm liking the way this is going! Could someone send me by email a copy of they're fltsim.flt file located in you're FLIGHTS/OTHER folder in you're main FS folder. I overwrote mine with one that, I believe, is the cause of many problems I am experiencing.Thanks a lot!

I've seen the posts and memorials, and feel I've actually lost friends here that I've met through simming. This morning we lost our pet of 11 years. Hi guysI'm having problems with the ils at cyvr, both runways radios seem to pick both up but the lock is real screwy and the is no glidescope.does everybody have this problem?is there a way to fix it?thxFloyd

More of a VC question... but I cant find anywhere in any of the CFG files where I can move the VC point of view back so that it starts in the cabin. I cant "walk" back far enough to get in the cabin. BTW, Melvin, awesome job on this plane!

Once upon a time, there was a very detailed scenery file in the library containing all the latest hotels and sites around Las Vegas. It appears that the file is missing now. Does anyone know where I can get the latest and greatest of Vegas??Thanks!Keith

I just bought "Flight Downunder 2002" and have installed it with no problem.However when I go to select a flight, I pick one of the citys that is on FD2002, and I click search for add on scenery, however nothing comes up.What am I doing wrong.Thanks for any advice.TC61

Has anyone compiled a list of high detail natural scenery areas in the standard MSFS2002 package? I have found Mt. Rainier, Mt. McKinley and Glacier National Park. There must be many others. Thanks.

Hello all! I paid Captain Sim through PayPal about four days ago for their 727. I have a transaction-confirmation number. What I don't have is my download for this aircraft. I have sent them e-mails with no response. Have I been taken to the cleaners for $37.00? It sure looks like it to me. Has anyone run into this problem in the last few days? I have read some of the forums here at Avsim that suggest some people are using the aircraft already, but they are having problems with the flight model. Thats too bad. The eye candy screen shots sure lure you in for the purchase. Take care all.

I'm a little ticked off by what I read on the AVSIM front page<

In reading the posts regarding the advnteges and disadvantages of VCs, I hear the argument that they decrease frame rates. Now, this may be entirely true, but in my experience, I get MUCH lower rates with the 2D panel, as opposed to the 3D. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this just anti-VC propaganda? :)On a second strain, what makes the default MS VCs so much more frame rate-friendly? IMHO, they are more pleasing to me than most 3rd party VCs. Sincerely, Earl
