I am running FS2002 and am having problems with anti-aliasing. It appears only on the cockpit panels, and not in the virtual cockpit view... sort of a hazy effect like when you have one too many beers or whatever.I am running a resolution of 1280 x 1024 in 32 bit.My machine is an Athlon XP2100, 512 megs ram and a GeForce 4 4600 vid card with 128 megs ram, so I figured all that should not be a problem.Any clues on this one?CheersPaul_J

I am really a newby at this, so treat me kindly. I recently downloaded Fred Banting's DHC-2 Beaver 3 Pack and the compatibility upgrade. I downloaded to a Download file, and everything appeared to unzip like it should. In FS 2002 I have aircraft, under that beaver 7, under that aircraft, under that Beaver F, Beaver W, and Beaver WS. When opened all seem to have everything that should be there. Trouble is, when I go to FS2002 "Current Aircraft", the Beaver doesn't show up. I can't figure out what I have done wrong. I don't know much about a cfg file and what I know about the registry is "Leave it alone" at my level of expertise. Any help out there?

OK, I'm having a blast as I get back into flight simming after a lay off. I'm looking for charts/maps. It seems Jeppesen is the leading brand. Free is always good too - but I don't mind paying for something good. Do you folks have recommendations for charts/maps for FS2002 I can look at online? Send URL if you have them bookmarked. Like I said Free is good, but I dont mind paying if its worth it!Thanks...

I installed GA maker and it seems to be working fine but I have one problem. I am trying to add some flights out of an airport in New hampshire. Its identifier is 8b1. It is a non tower airport and i have created scenery for it with APT 2.6 I am using AFCAD and have succesfully installed a tower and gates/parking spots. I then go into GA maker and attempt to call up the airport, but it does not see it. I am wondering if GA maker needs something else other than a tower or is it becuase I have modified the airport with APT 2.6? If you can't install GA traffic at the smaller airports than what use is this tool? I was hoping it would do this but I guess it will be good for …

First of all thank you Mel for the great Boeing 777.I use PSS version of 777 panel with the aircraft, but can not contact ATC nor Autopilot works.. sound like dead battery or something well I don't know...In FSUIP extended battery life is CHECKED by factor of 800 tried 0 also, but doesnot help... the engines are running and I can fly and all systems seem to be on, normal startup etc... .etc... but no ATC or AutoPilot.Will only work if I for example change to other aircraft in this case for example POSKY 767 run on panel from PIC 767 and start all engines etc and then select the MelJet777 again then sometimes it work sometimes I may need to do it twice I guess soemthing do…

When flying in the western parts of the USA, FS2K exits with this error - even when accessing airports from the worldmenu. Any clues?John

Hi, I have tried to install this scenery but everytime I select this airport, flight sim. stops running and I get "fatal error" message. I never had this problem with sceneries before and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a heads up on what the problem could be? I installed just as instructions say and I have plenty of memory and hard drive space and so forth. Thank you, S.

has anyone seen this before?i loaded up some real weather, and prepared to start my flight originating at KORD. visibility was limited and it was snowing nicely outside......except when i got inside the cockpit.once inside, i could only see it snowing when i looked out from different views. if i looked straight ahead, no snow. in order to see the precip i had to look either left, or back/left.i believe this happened in both vc and regular views. i'm pretty sure it hasn't always been like this as i can remember shooting some approaches with rain/snow on my windshield.any ideas?i was using activesky weather, and i tried a couple of different panels.thankschris

I dont know if this is old info, but last night I took a peek at www.guru3d.com and found that there were beta 40.xx stereo drivers out. I had all but thrown away my ED glasses because I wasnt about to go back to 30.xx drivers just for the glasses, but Im glad I held on to them and not sold because these new stereo drivers do the trick! Ive tried them with a few of my games I wanted 3D in and they work flawlessly so far! If any of you download them, just make sure you turn AA off, or they wont work.Craig

Hey Gang!Terry Kelley's KDFW is pretty decent and a much needed improvement over the default KDFW. There are some minor details to inquire about, as well as the request for an AFCAD file, which is much needed for this addon scenery. Ok, folks - I was following a thread the other day on active camera, and it suggested that it could do the following:1) 'head bob' in the cockpit with turbulence2) Mouse Panning3) last but most definintely not least - allow one to click and manipulate controls while in VC mode.Well, I don't see any of these. I had it installed when I tried out cam 2 pan, and it is still active in my modules folder. The only thing I can see that it actually does is allow 'flyby' mode. Yes, I see a box for 'head latency', but changing parameters etc. does nothing. hi folks, here's what's happening to my fs. Some weeks ago i noticed some of the sounds (engine sounds on some aircraft, not all , could not be heard). I reinstalled FS2002 into a new folder and the problem is here again. The same problem comes with ATC sounds, i can see the text normally but i can't do anything to hear those. I have installed FS2002 with all 10 atc sounds selected. Everywhere else the sound works fine, also the cockpit sound, NAV sounds, etc , all fine. I even tried different sound acceleration options in dxdiag. I am using directx9. I'd appriciate any idea what else to try ? Has anyone expirienced anythign similar ? Why wont FS2002 give me this setting? It gives me 1600x1200x16, but not 32 bit. WinXP allows me to set my desktop at this resolution, but I cant get FS to do it no matter what I try. I have a Ti4200 running 41.09 drivers on a 19" monitor, so whats the problem? I would belive it would be my monitor if XP only allowed me to set it at 16, but it doesnt. I did a quick search of the forums but returned nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks alot.Craig

FS2002 has been running fine for weeks but starting yesterday I would get the "....detected 3rd party software.....File: traffic.dll....do you want to load....". Select yes or no same thing, program won't load, back to desktop.Did a forum search, found and ended up deleting traffic.dll from my windowssystem32 file. It worked! For a while, anyway. It's back, and if I delete it it just comes back again, before my eyes if I use Powerdesk (a file manager). Any ideas? I did install Combat FS 1 since I had gotten FS2K2 working the first time. I know it is busy time, with all the new beautifull new stuff, but I think that there is a "new" helicopter, that you should take a closer look at.It is not so much the heli, which is interesting (I think it`s an old fs2000 model), but the new textures, made by Billy Petropulos.I believe it is the most real textures i have ever seen on anything, in any flightsim.The helicopter is a boeing CH-47D Chinook, and the file is ch47.zip I don`t know how he made it look so real, but if that sort of textures could be used on other types too, it sure would be interesting.Best regardsS.Jensen

Hello Everyone,Im just curious...I was flying the other day the Default Lear 45, in IFR conditions. Upon Decent into ORD, all of a sudden the Speed gauge just cut out on me. My original thought is that I had "failures" set, but I did not. At that point, I had no clue how fast or how slow I was actually going. At some point, I started to stall, and you know what happens from there.Ok, so I reset the sim, during Taxi, the Speed works, as soon as I rotated off the runway, the speed gauge died... I don't know how the authors feel about this, but maybe Microsoft should seriously consider licencing some of the MelJet and POSKY (and maybe also IFDG, FFG, AFG etc) models for use in FS2004.Think about it... FS2004 would then have amazing default 777, 747, 767 models and lots of liveries. The authors would get a little money from Microsoft for their tremendous efforts and the prestige of having their models in FS2004.Microsoft could spend their time on the core FS2004 engine and leave the aircraft models to the experts!I dont think Microsoft can do any better than Mel and POSKY.I guess these authors need the FS2004 alpha and betas to adapt their models to the FS2004 fea…
