As many of you have done I also got the incredible iFDG 757 aircraft.I noticed one problem with the wing lights. When you takeoff the nav & strobe lights actually jump down below the wing. Has anyone else run into this problem or know how to fix.Thanks

On many of the aircraft I have no wing views are standard. Does anyone know how to setup wing views?? I remember in FS2k you had the FDE program that would allow you to modify view area.Does FS2k2 have it available or how can I set it up manually??Thanks again.

Since installing a new TI4600 at Xmas I have spent six days installing and uninstalling six sets of drivers to cure a lock-up problem. All drivers have been fully removed including registy entries.The problem is a partial lock-up of FS2K2 when I enable anti-alaising, either in the game or under the Geforce settings tab. It causes the red fps and co-ordinates text to develop a dropped shadow, the alt and esc keys won't work, they only pause the sim and I have to ctrl + alt + del to get out. This happens with a new default FS2002.cfg file and the driver settings at default, nothing fancy turned on.This happens with the 3082, 3087 and 4109 drivers. I have been running nicely…

For no reason whatsoever, my aircraft show high airspeeds on the ground (Ground speed shows as normal and pitot heater on). Sometimes when I make a turn the aircraft crashes by tipping over and going through the ground and when I takeoff the aircraft rises almost vertically like a helicopter. Anybody else had this problem, before I re-install ?

jerrycwo4Last night I purchased and installed the above wx program. I have read a LOT of really good press about it. I had been using "Weather Center Expert 1.01", before this. I was happy with this program but kept reading about all of the good features of ActiveSky that I decided to give it a try. It (ActiveSky), comes with a 59 page instruction manual and I am only up to page 20 in it, but I think I have it installed and adjusted it properly. The MAIN disappoint, and the only thing I didn't like about my older Wx program was how it would JUMP (in 1-2 seconds) from Clear to Cloudy, are in reverse. My old program did this. I downloaded the demo of this program last night and am quite impressed.I have a question, however, regarding the relevance of the altitude parameter for landmarks contained in the database. According to the documentation, the recommended elevation value for a given landmark is the highest point of that landmark (presumably in MSL but the documentation does not make this clear). I noticed, however, that quite a few landmarks contained in the databases list altitudes of 0. Hello,yesterday my brother and me we wanted to connect our PCs. Both have WinXP Home. They have both P4s, enuff RAM/HD, new gForce graphics cards so not too bad. But that damn network just didn't work. Tried to assign IPs, etc., all the usual stuff. Sometimes we saw the other PC in network neighborhood, sometimes not, sometimes even not the own PC. File transfer was ultra slow, the network graph in the taskmanager showed <1% during file transfer. 'ping' in the DOS box worked from time to time, and my (automatically assigned) IP was 0.0.0.0, then after one or two minutes aI had a real one. Not really. :) But, after a year of no problems, I had to reinstall 2k2 after a fatal problem. But, I have searched far and wide, and I do mean wide, for an effect file that allows you to see the strobes and the red flash from the beacon from within the cockpit. Had it, loved it, now I am missing it. Mainly useful on smaller GA aircraft. I wonder if anyone else thinks this way. It seems to me that the wind has NO effect in this sim. I fly small planes all the time and should be bumped around some by wind but no matter how I set it I see no difference and atc still gives me clearance to the same runway even though I would be having a strong tailwind. Anyway it seems to make no difference. Don

Does anyone know where I can find a good IL-76 for FS2002? I've searched AVSIM and SIMVIATION but no luck. I was able to work on one a year or two ago at KCLE and thought it would be cool to have one for FS. Thanks!

Hi guys,I am getting this error message while flying over KMMU (Morristown Municipal, New Jersey) and KCDW (Essex County, NJ).((Scenery Library Object not found. this may cause some scenery, such as buildings, not to display correctly. ID-0x34c9A87C, 0x11D3150F, 0x1000869C, 0x2AE60c5a)).....The game freezes with this area, and i just "OK" out of each box and continue. Do i need to reinstall this area over Jersey? Hi all, I have a Dell P3/800 with a Nvidia Tnt2 video card with 32megs of ram. I have 384megs of system ram with Win98SE. All of a sudden, my system is going nuts. All the while I am flying is FS2002, the hard drive is thrashing constantly. This is new in the last few days. The only thing that has changed is I added a KDFW scenery & installed Office XP. Nothing seems to change the amount of thrashing. My sliders are about mid level. I have defragged using Norton 2003, I have also tried both a static & dynamic swap file. No changes. Any ideas? Can anyone tell me how to use the key combo's with Captainsims 727? I have read the manual, and posted in the CS forum with no luck! I cannot activate the fire warning test, the WX radar test or the fuel heaters. The key combos simply do not work. Is anyone else having these problems? I've d/l the 757 the other day, tried out flying it for the first time, and while flying an ILS into Bournemouth Int. (UK) i was finding with the throttle at idle, full flap, spoilers fully OPEN, i was JUST about able to maintain an approximate 150-170kts on final approach.You might also remember that the old EFG 757 over a year ago had the same problem - too damb fast.Is it possible to tweak some settings which will considerably make the a/c less streamlined :-lol (ie. To match the superior quality of graphics and systems produced by Mel in his new 777, someone of the caliber of Paul Golding or Bill Grabowski should develop an appropriate panel and cockpit (easy for me to say huh), unless of course Mel has supplied these, but I see no indication of such in his screenshots or information. Perhaps other equally talented panel developers can rise to the occasion that aircraft of this quality demand for full development. Just a wishful thought I wish to pass on.GrantM

From time to time I have experienced a situation when comming out of autopilot on approach the plane dramatically pitches up and I have to apply full forward pressure on my CH Products Yoke. I go to SPOT view and see the control surfaces as they should be with the yoke pushed all the way forward, however the plane barely stays level and wants to pitch up ending in a stall situation.This has happened with a variety of aircraft with the latest being a Cathay Pacific of unknown origin, but it doesn't happen often enough nor can I reliably repeat it to pin point the cause.Can anyone shine some light on this situation?Thanks

Guys,I have noticed the few times (well maybe not so few) when I incurred some airframe damage on landing. It has been interesting how the sim has manufactured different levels of damage based on the severity of the crash. One problem is that most times the "crash and reset" option licks in and I am suddenly back in the sky. I also loose the replay tape so I can not review what may have occurred.In any case, does anyone know how to keep the crash function in place but disable the reset?Thanks! WS (KEWR)

First I want to thank those who helped me find files recently after I had to reinstall FS. I had a year without any problems, and then the dreaded happened. I have flown thousands of hours on MS, Fly, Pro Pilot, FUIII, etc. since about the 3rd grade. What does that say about me? I don't know...I guess I like flying. Anyway, I used to be ashamed of flying that much on the sim. Then I realized, along with the assesment of my flight instructors, that the sims saved me thousands in training. Plus, I realized that it is a hobby, and others spend that much or more time assembling flies for fishing. I will likely get my ASEL Commercial in Feb., and it has been a fun, challenging…

I'm looking for a few airports and suitable mesh around the Western French coast - particularly aerodromes like Deauville, calais, Le Touquet and Le Harve.
