Yesterday, I decided to uninstall flightsim 2002, and then install it again, so i could get it fresh. So therefore i decided to make a full install, instead of custom or typical!!When i came into flightsim and started up with the Cessna 172 on Meigs, I noticed that the clock was not showing :-hmmm Then i installed all payware and shareware aircrafts i have,and thenas i started up the RFP 747-200 (ready for pushback) I noticed thatthe fuel panel gauges was not working!! :-hmmm :-hmmmI checked up many other aircrafts,and now it turnes out that NO DIGITAL GAUGES are working,which means: Radio's,COM,NAV,AFD and also the engine instruments on all cockpits that dont have EICAS …

Does the GF range, in particular, the MCP and the radio hardware that they offer work with the PSS 744 and 777 a/c?Any other comments about GF performance and compatibility within MSFS appreciated.Thanks!JS

Hi all,I finally did it. After simming for the last 4-5 years, I finally broke down and bought my first payware aircraft. (FSD Seneca)I just wanted to thank everyone who replied to me with advise in my previous post a few days ago. When I bought this aircraft I expected a frame rate decrease in the worst way, but when I got it up and running I didn't see more than a 2-3 fps hit over the default aircraft on my system. The only real difference that I noticed was that when changing views in the cockpit, the textures take about a second and a half or so to load, where as the default aircraft it's pretty much instant on my system.My only question now is this. I tried playing the avi movie in quicktime and I get a message about a missing compressor or codec file. All I get is the sound. I also tried windows media player, but just the sound also. I am using windows XP. Anyone else experiencing problems or have an idea on how to fix the problem? Thanks!Airbus

Hi guysI am thinking about buying a powerful laptop soon with built-in 3D accelerator. However, I have one concern:Am I right in saying that if I get a laptop now with an ATi Mobility 9000 chip that I won't be able to play FS2004 when it is out? I am guessing this because the 9000 is a Direct X 8.1 chip and I presume I will need one of the Direct X 9 chips?Wisdom please!!Steve

Hi Folks, I have a question for the more technical amongst you. I have the Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4200 card, whihc has driver ver 2.8.3.2. After installing Direct X 9 (that was automatic ) I received a message to say my cards drivers were old. Visting the Nvidia site it does seem as if there are some new drivers - ver 43.45. My question - has anyone installed them? and is it easy! I am not the worlds best PC guru, so want to make sure this would be nice and simple. Also some one told me I had to install a 'detonator' program first? I couldn't mail Nvidia to ask so was hopeing someone here may be able to help.Any advice would be appreciated. Keith

Hello,Is anyone using the Microsoft Sidewinder Strategic Commander with FS2002? It's that mouse-like gizmo with lots of buttons (designed primarily for RPS or FPS games, I think).I've got one sitting in my attic, and I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck configuring one to work with FS2002. I am looking for the following AFCADs for these airports: Salzburg Austria (SZG/LOWS) Lanzarote Spain (ACE/GCRR) Funchal/Madeira Portugal (FNC/LPMA) Malmo-Sturup Sweden (MMX/ESMS) and Tenerife Norte-Los Rodeos (TFN/GCXO)Now Ive looked for these airports here at avsim and at flightsim.com, but the only ones I found were for downloaded scenery. Where can I find AFCADs for those airports that were intened for the default scenery?

I really want to fly the 737NG, 737-200, DC-10 etc, but as there are no payware panels which simulates the nav equipment on these planes, I've not been able to fly them online with VATSIM yet. Of course I can fly VOR/NDB NAV, but that's a bit slow when flying SIDs/STARs and intersections. Specially when you get a DCT to a fix/intersection. Therefore I would like to get some recommendations on what NAV systems I should add to many of the great freewarepanels? I don't like stuff like FSNavigator as it's very unrealistic. I'm looking for something like the aeral nav on the DC-9s etc. I really hope some realistic hardcore simmer has the answer ;-) I tested some flights with t…

hi,I used to remember how to get to the PAI official packages download place on the pai site but Ive forgotten. On the main page it says new packages released but Im left clueless as to where to go to download them. Heres what Ive tried... go to the file libraries link on the left hand side and click packages then all I see is a couple packages. I think I remember something about going to a flight1 link on the page to get to the packages download place but i don't remember where it is.Thanks,Andrew

After installing Sabino Yacobone's Valencia2003 scenery and starting FS2002 I get a message stating Font "Arial"(-11) isn't found, using "MS Serif" instead.Where can I find a list of fonts and perhaps find this "Aerial(-11)?Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Mike

Whew! After reinstalling FS2K2 Pro a few days ago I meant to reassign the buttons on my stick along with adjusting the sensitivities but put it off as I was trying some other things. Up til now I felt something just wasn't right with the flight models. Thought maybe some other jet files got mixed up in it or something. Alas... it dawned on me to move the elevator and aileron adjustments all the way over to the left. Yea, just shove them over there,all the way. If you can break the brackets and move them further then go for it. Ahhh.... much better. For me the left side seems to work best. I feel better now. William

Need Help. Some how I have lost the use of my auto pilot. All of the indicators are dark. I've tried to find the gauges on my FS2002 disk but no luck. Is there any way I can get this to work. Any suggestions?
