Great model - light version works great - super panel. So, for a dumb question; seems I can't get the main door closed in the "full" version. I'm selecting the exit with "Shift-E", and notice the "1" key afterwards toggles between "open & close" commands. The "4" key (per the manual" doesn't seem to be active for me. "Light" version is great - lot's to learn with this aircraft (and panel). I wonder if anyone has had this problem?Just upgraded to 2.7 amd, with radeon 9700 pro, new mobo etc..after installing xp, fs2002 etc. fs2002 just closes down at various different times!:-newbie

Having a few problems keeping the 747 at 3500ft at 275kts using the auto pilot. It keeps pitching up and down, can't seem to peg 3500ft for some reason. I've got altitude, speed and auto throttle on. Is that to low and slow for the auto pilot in the 747? Bug maybe or me? William

If you land at an airport that HAS a control tower (case in point PAEI outside Fairbanks, AK) why isn't it listed as an airport flyable to so far as a flightplan with TrafficTools is concerned? I was going to place some C-130 traffic flying out of Eielson AFB down to Edwards AFB in CA. I can't believe that Edwards doesn't have a control tower either...though I know it does.Does this simply mean that MSFS2002 does NOT support miltary flight plans in and out of military installations anywhere? I tried searching for some of the larger bases and upon cross-checking it with the Airports.txt compiled in TrafficTools, none come up.Boooooring!Thanks,Jeff

I just bought The Aircraft Collectors Edition by Abacus and I just wanted to say that I wish I'd search the forums here before paying money for it. IMO it's not worth the $20 I paid and I've seen other posts to this forum that say the same thing.I had Abacus' Corporate Pilot for FS2k and really liked it, but the aircraft do not work in fs2k2. I probably could have fixed them myself because I believe the only problems were minor gauge issues. One thing that I couldn't fix, and a feature I really miss, was the FMC it had. Turning the quality to "high" for the virtual cockpit is the single most limiting effect on smoothness for my system. Interestingly, it doesn't matter if I'm using the virtual cockpit, 2D, or full screen view. As soon as I switch to "low" things smooth out. Unfortunately, for many of my planes, "low" makes the virtual cockpit unusable. This is most noticeable around heavy graphic areas like cities. Anybody else notice this? How would some of you like to get together and promote VFR flights for new pilots in VATSIM? I'd really like to get some new pilots started and promote the very much ignored VFR portion of online flight. Any new or experienced simmers interested? I'm considering buying the ALPHA Simulations Harrier package. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it? For reasons unknown all of a sudden the engine sounds on the MS generic aircraft works fine but the 421C & SenecaV have no engine sound but has other sounds ( gear up/down.

Hello pilots!This is a request for comments concerning the flight dynamics of the new 757-200 model by iFDG. Are you enjoying the dynamics? Do they seem realistic or do you think there are areas that need work?I've been comparing the old FSDS releases against the new model. I've not put enough time into the new model to make any authoritative judgements, and I've not been keeping good notes yet. However, so far my insticts are suggesting the engine dynamics need adjusting.The engines seem much different from the older FSDS model, and perhaps not for the better. Wondering if anyone has had this happend to them: you go to the default map view in FS and double click on a VOR or Airport expecting to learn the different frequencies for the seleted facility but all you get is the name.
