Ciao all,well... reading most of the messages about this topic, I see many people did not understand what a SEASONAL CTD is.A Seasonal CTD is not:1- A crash due to Afcad2- A crash due to AI planes3- A crash due to any incompatible gauge4- A crash that happens sometimes5- A crash that displays an error message6- A crash that somebody has and somebody doesn't have7- A crash due to hardware troubles (ie memory problems, drivers incompatibilities, bios and whatever you want)Instead, a seasonal CTD:1- Affects all userSo please stop saying "only 5% of user..." these are bullshits!2- Can be reproduced every time you fly DAYTIME (in a certain season, usually winter) in a specific…

Ok here is the situation......Tried to do a flight from Prague (PRG) to Paris (CDG) using the FFX 737-500, todays date, a Prague airport scenery, and downloaded real world weather. After take off from runway 24 about 5 minutes into the flight FS2004 CTD happens.Just now I tried this.......started at Prague airport with airport scenery, in summer, using the default 737, and no downloaded weather. Now after take off from runway 24 Im expecting the CTD to happen, but the CTD never happened. So (in flight) I changed the plane back to the FFX 737-500 no CTD, I changed the time back to todays date and no CTD, then I loaded the real world weather and as soon as I did FS2004 cras…

Last night I reinstalled FS9 onto a freshly formatted partition. I did so reluctabtly because, quite frankly, I needed a break from the frustration I've experienced with CTD's during the past few weeks. I reflew the test flight that I and my friends had used last weekend, and to my horror I could not get the sim to crash! After several attempts, I headed off for some much needed rest. Has anyone, other than me, experienced any problems with the dash 8-300 panel by Oleksiy Frolov?I have loaded it into FS9 and FS2002 and it appears to work OK that is until I start the engines. At that point their is no elevator authority from my controller. I thought the stick my be on it's last legs so I swapped it around for another - same problem.I then thought perhaps it was a FS9/FS2002 issue but before uninstalling and reinstalling the Sim I loaded the PMDG 737 and guess what - full elevator authority and in fact the same with every other aircraft.Looks like I'll have to can this installation unless someone else can shed some light on this mystery.Andy b

Now that I changed a text doc into a HTML, how do i get it to show up in the electronic kneeboard.I've changed the ref and check text doc. into HTML put in the 737 [not default] folder. when i open up the panel and Bring up the kneeboard, then choose ref or check nothing is there.

I run 2 monitors off an ATI Radeon 8500 and NEVER had a problem with MSFS02 (Yeah I know I need a new card) but FS9 has me scratching...Recently I loaded FS9.I'll admit the eye candy is better but undocking the instr.panel has me guessing each time I try. First, when I drag the panel to my 2nd monitor in win mode I see it fine. I then "maximize" the upper window for a full outside view. Next, as in MSFS02 I toggle to full accelerated screen mode for the "W" view. It looks awesome - but my insturment panel which I just dragged down to the lower screen....disappears....MOST of the time! I know it is there but I can't see it. Is it possible to use two joystick (or more) together in fs? If so, how?

I am trying to write an add of application to introduce AI aircraft into FS2002. I can't seem to get the directplay code working completely, specifically the enumsessions() call if you happen to be a programmer. Anyone know a good source for help on that subject or someone who's done it already?Thanks,Ryan

Hi AllI know a lot of you guys have fancy Yolks and all that, but I seem to rememebr a while back a couple of posts from someone who was having trouble with his Logitech Wingman 3d Digital extreme. Well I had the same problem I just couldn't configure that sucker. I would drift all over the sky like a fool. Rudder configuration and calibration was damn near impossible.So I got rid of the stick and on New Years Day went and bought a Saitek Cyborg Platinum. It works a treat and it basically calibarted itself. When the plane is trimmed right it will virtually fly itself now.Just a bit of advice for anybody who doesn't want to spend over a $100 bucks on the X45 setup.Wycliff…

Are the PAI aircraft in ultimate traffic supposed to have fuselage landing light splashes?

I don't have any TTools flight plans or any AI enhancers but my AI flights have fallen down to unacceptable levels. ATC is set to 100% but all I can see/hear are a few GA and an occasional Learjet. No heavies at all. The GA are all around me in the air but they sparsely populate the airports. Is there some mystery configuration file, other than fs2002.cfg, which seems fine, that I can reinstall?

Help..I've searched on this topic but haven't found an answere that works for me..When setting up weather in fs9 I chose advanced weather settings. I put in an overcast cloud layer from say 5000 ft base to 10000 foot tops with 8/8 overcast coverage and cirus, status, cumulas.. it doesn't matter what cloud type I use.The problem is I never get real overcast conditions.. always seems like scattered conditions at best. I'm also on top by 6000 ft (10000) feet selected.I tried tweeking 3d-cloud percentage and cloud coverage density. That helps a little. I'm trying to fly "in the soup" and break out on short final but can't seem to achive the effects like I can in fs2002.I…

Hi,I have just started to try and use the great ERJ 145 panel as recommended here.I have a problem, when advancing the throttles to take off power, I get the aural warning "take offf ground", I think it is ground she is saying but I cant be 100% sure.Anyone know how to clear this warning?CheersDan.

Today I swapped out my G4TI4400 for a ATI 9700Pro. I did an uninstall of the old Nvidia drivers and installed the new CAT3.9 with no problems. I set up the display properties and I was off to test flight sim 02 and 04. First I fired up 2004 and the first thing that hit me was no more blurries and great framerates. The scenery was incredible. I flew around for a bit using my worst FPS aircraft and scenery and I maintained a nice smooth rate throughout the flight. This was great, now for FS2002. I used the same planes, scenery and weather and I noticed I lost quite of bit of FPS. Before the card swap, FS2002 was my smoothest sim installed. Am I missing something here?I'm cu…

I have this annoying problem with the Kastrup (EKCH) scenery. Normally runway 4L is used for landing and 4R for take-off. The problem is that it's always like this, even with a strong tailwind, my AI still use 4L for landing and 4R for take-off. I tried editing the afcad file to see what would happen. All I get now is all planes take-off and land on 22R...this is with 220/26. Does anyone have a way to make this more realistic, or perhaps have a afcad file which works for them?Mikkel

Is it possible to sell the products that are purchased online and downloaded?I have several, that only work in FS2002...that are taking up hard drive space.Would like to transfer license/sell them to someone, if thst is possible.I know that many companies will not allow this, but need to check...its like throwing money in the toilet, otherwise. Hi,I am trying to fly into KASE, but ATC always directs my too rwy 33, but I want to land at rwy 15.Now when i ask ATC for rwy 15 it directs me to circle to land rwy 33, but i dont want rwy 33.I have tried disabling rwy 33 for landing using AFCAD but that does not work.Anyone know how I can acheive this?CheersDan.
