ok, so if i want to fly from miami to atlanta with downloaded real weather i would need to take a snap shot after i made a flight plan? would i need to click on any weather stations along my flight plan or is that taken care of with the snap shot? if the snap shot covers that big of an area then i have to take my hat off to MS. that IS a BIG change from fs2002. oh, i don't want to stay online and have the weather updated every 15 minutes. only one phone line you know. thanks, william

Hi, everyone. I'm trying to build up some Caribbean scenery in preparation for a return to "active duty" with my VA, Tradewind Caribbean. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good sceneries that are pretty good on frames and decent to look at. I've been considering Chris Wilkes' IWI packages, but I'm also interested in available freeware, too. I have FS9, but anything made for FS8 that works in the current version is fine, too.One area in particular that I've had some trouble with in my own searches is Les Saintes airport in Guadaloupe. Hi all,Yesterday, we uploaded the FS2002 version of our Victoria Falls scenery add-on to the library and right away received user feedback about a rather serious problem: FS2002 crashes when attempting to load a flight near the waterfalls. Turns out that, after careful beta testing, I included an old version of the scenery files in the package - sigh!My sincerest apologies! Hi,I noticed that EagleSoft released their Citation II/SP recently. Haven't seen any reviews yet - probably too early. Has anyone heard anything about the Citation? I know their other planes are excellent from reading the reviews.Tom

It seems everytime I load up flight simulator all I ever really do is mess around. Like climbing to 37,000 feet, switch to the Wright bros glider and do aerobatics, etc.Could someone recommend me a free addon or something to give the game more structure?

There used to be a web site 'dangerousweather.com' or something like that. It would act as a search engine, where you could search for bad weather in real time. Parameters like 'low ceilings' thunderstorm, icing etc. Then you could go to that location and fly the weather in the sim.It shut down about 7 months ago or more, and I have not been able to find anything similar. Does anyone know of such a site?

Hi everybody!Yesterday I got the new CRJ-700 done by Project Skyworks. I have to say that finally we have a great CRJ-700 freeware.I am looking for the paint kit but I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get a F-111(any variety) of reasonable quality for FS2002/4? Freeware if poss.If possible with variable geometry wings. I'm not to worried how fancy it is as long as it's reasonably accurate in size as it will probably bo only taxied not flown.I need it for testing a scenery project and so far the only one I can find is for Xplane.Dave

I would like to make a listing of every airport/helipad/seaplane base listed in FS9. Is there away to extract the information from FS9 to do this. Because of the seabase and helipad I need also the runways as there are listed only in that area?Any help would be appreciated.No doubt about it...Ronson2k

Hi,after my pc crasht due to a powersup failure, i can't open or save any flights. FS09 just freeses. It still start with my default flight. But when I have a CTD i would like to continue whit an autosave file. The FS just wont open the panel to pic a saved flight. It hangs. Can anybody please tell me of a website where I can get 747-200 performance tables. I fly the Ready for Pushback 747-200 and during shorter flights I would like to know the cruise altitude I could expect to reach when flying a certain distance at a given weight.When using the flight planner the cruise altitude is normally a guess.ThanksGlen

When Runways have the same ILS frequentie in UK 20000 v4 The ILS doen't work on one sight. For example London Heathrow RWY 27R-09L is on both sides 110.30 for the ILS frequentie. The frequentie is only working on RWY 27R. When I have the same frequentie on approach for 09L ,the ILS doesn't show up, and has to work because in the default scenery it't working. And this happenes with all UK 2000 v4 scenery where two runways of an airport have the same frequenties on both sights.Does somebody have a sollution for this problem ?Regards,Dimitri

Are there any sites that have a tutorial for flying a helicopter in FS2004? I can get it to hover and move about slowly, but as soon as I try to actually go anywhere I lose control and crash.I guess I just need some tips that tell you how to control it.Thanks

Gulfstream Update almost done. I know Jim wanted to do it but I couldn't resist seeing we won't be seeing one from Eaglesoft in awhile. Everything is almost done except for resizing the gauges in the cockpit and ironing out why the plane doesn't handle spoilers being deployed in flight very well. Contact points is still not quite right as I noticed during landing that I got tire smoke before the wheels even touched the ground. I think I might let Jim figure that out since he was the first one to step up to the plate for the challenge... Maybe the guys at Eaglesoft can offer some guidance and/or help in updating the VC cockpit lighting. Other than that we all will soon hav…

When I fly an amphibian aircraft and land on the water, with the gear in the retracted position, I get a beeping sound out of the speaker, that is inside of my computer's case. The "gear_warning_available" is turned off (set to 0) in the aircraft.cfg file and the air file. The beep DOES NOT come from the speakers connected to my sound card. As soon as I lower the gear (while still on the water) the beeps stop. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this. I have the latest sound drivers installed.Thanksgreenco

I am having a blast flying the Ready for Pushback V2 742... but the viewpoint in the VC has a problem in that the headrest blocks my view of the center console!So how can I manually adjust the numbers to change the viewpoint in the VC everytime? I just want the viewpoint to always be about 5 button presses forward (shift+enter I think does the move eyepoint forward but I have to do it after every eye-point reset) and 1 button press up.Thanks!

Hello fellow flightsimmers. Project Gulfstream was a project I began about 3 months ago to reproduce the entire line of Gulfstream aircraft, from the G100 up to the G550. Unfortunately, as of current, the project has stalled due to inadaquate information regarding these birds. If anyone out there who flies any of the current or older Gulfstream series aircraft, I would greatly appreciate any pictures, notes, checklists, flight manual pages, and flight dynamics information that could supply. I've been searching GOOGLE for a complete Canadian Airport Directory Database (excel, dbase or access)Things I need included in the database:- Airport Name & ID Code;- Location (Province, city, coordinates);- Runway(s) ( w/ length(s) );Much of what I found was for the U.S.I'm going to try NavCanada and Transport Canada to seeif they have any public databases.In the meantime, if anywone has seen anything, can you email [email protected]!

I'm not at my FS computer right now but I was wondering if FS2004 has the new runways 8L/26R at Miami. I read somehwere that the default scenery didn't come with it or it does now becauses of a time stamp codeing or AFCAD file. I know the Fly Tampa Miami scenery comes with the new runways.
