I downloaded and installed the Edinburgh scenery described on the front page. The airport looks great except for a interesting problem -- there are several battleships strewn about. They disappear when the scenery is inactivated. I tried a new download and installation with the same result. Does this scenery behave normally for other people? This is really weird.

I am a full time professional and don't have half the time to put my FS9 in the state I wish it were. I bought Ultimate Traffic and just haven't had the time to go further than the "generic" configuration out of the box.I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their Flight Plan arrangements for AI traffic, along with the AI liveries from ProjectAI for the Southern California area. An item about the freeware Schneider Trophy Air Race package appeared on the Avsim home page yesterday. Being a fan of classic aircraft and the Supermarine S6, I had to give it a try! As soon as I unzipped the files, it was apparent that this package was put together with loving care... the documentation, the included scenery, and the aircraft are absolutely first-rate. And it's a real kick to fly the race course 100 feet above the water!There are separate downloads for the race course scenery, an RAF seaplane base, and the Supermarine S6 (with both 2d and virtual cockpit). And the flight model for the S6 is fantastic... it feels just like what you'd expect for an airplan…

Help!I cannot seem to access the Captain Sim shop or forums. When I click on the button to take me there, I am told there is either a problem with the site or with my settings.Does anyone know if the website is still working? If so, why can I not get into the shop?Thanks for your help,Dan

I have a new DELL 8300, Windows XP pro, Pent 4 3.0 ghz, 1024 RAM, 128MB Radeon 9800 pro. I have the AA sliders maxed out to the right on the card. No AA in the FS9 sim settings.I also have the FSD Piper Navjo Panther. Nice airplane with great sound. If I load the plane into the sim in VC view, the AA is beautiful. The trailing edges in spot view are as straight as a ruler. The VC panel and engine nacels from the VC are straight lined too. The AA works fine while in the VC, Spot View, or Tower Views. When I load the 2D panel by going into the 2D panel view the AA goes to heck to the point that it is bothersome to know that it is not perfect to view the airplane from the sp…

When FS2002 is started I get error message:"Third party software not compatable. File traffic.dll""Do you want to load software?"--No--Screen blanks & back to desktop.I followed MS help & added[old modules]traffic.dll=o to 2002.cfg file,same error appears.I have removed all add on aircraft,scenery,fstraffic,AFCAD,FSUPIC,Wideview, uninstalled FS& reinstalled so I only have original FS2002.Same error.I searched for traffic.dll & found it in two locations.One in FS2002/Modules & the other in Windows/System 32.When I remove traffic.dll from modules folder the error messages disappears,but FS blanks back to desktop.I loaded FS2002 onto another compute…

Is the "TO/GA" supposed to be functional? I do not see any reference to it in the documentation. If so, how is it implemented? I get no response on the ground (with no annunciator caution alarm lights lit). Once, and I don't remember what I was doing but thought I did get a response (audio sound) in flight, but it could have been something else reacting at the same time. Possibly does it function for go arounds?For what it might be worth, you can print out the caution panel bmp so that you can have something legible for reference. I attempted to buy Scotflight scenery using SWREG and the service from SWREG was nothing short of disgusting. In the end I gave up and turned to Visualflight.The service and support I got from them was brilliant and in a very short time I had the scenery downloaded and installed.They are to be congratulated. The product itself is very good value and gives you numerous airports,landclass and landmarks throughout Scotland. The freeware scenery also found on the website gives you the two major airports of Edinburgh and Glasgow and both are excellent. If you like flying in Scotland this is a good buy.

Expressing my concerns

HiI've little problems with pmdg b737 (800 or 900)and microsoft sidewinder2The firs problem is with speed brakes, when I put on and then off they don't retract and I must push joy button or key some times to retract.The second problem is with the stab trim and joy, when i move up or down stab trim with joy the stab movement and wheel movement is strange... for example moving stab down result in a series of very fast movements of wheel in cw and ccw and if is used external view the stab moves up and down very fast.In virtual cockpit i cannot see the lights speed brakes armed and speed brakes do not arm.in autoland and with autobrakes on the speed brakes do not extend autom…

I don't recall seeing many posts about this so I thought I would seek some opinions of others.After buying this about a month ago I finally installed it and took a quick test flight around the area at 5,000 ft. I have to say I am a little disappointed compared to some freeware satellite scenery I have used. I was expecting it to be at least as good or better than Matt Fox's So. Cal. for Fly II but I don't think it is. I allowed Mega Scenery to make all the automatic adjustments during installation but it still lacks the kind of detail I would expect. My hardware is definitely up to the task. Maybe I'm expecting too much?Does anyone have both the California and NY versions…

Not sure if this is an issue that has been discussed but I am finding the KH 738 to be too unstable in turns. For eg. the airplane tends to pitch down if one is in a descent and turning on to a final approach course for the ILS, the plane will start to 'hunt' the g/s and will be osscilating up and down until it crashes. Is this just with me or is there a fix?Shez

I have installed the iFDG "TAP Air Portugal A320-214", with the great panel by Eric Marciano.When reviewing my landings, I notice that the spoilers are correctly deployed after touchdown (after being armed while in flight). In all other aircraft the spoilers are retracted when I cut the reverse thrust. However,in this A320, I observe that the spoilers retract, but then they are immediately deployed again. I have to retract them manually.Is this a normal operation? Is there anything I should do to avoid this?Best Regards,

I have an annoying occurrence that when it first appeared was limited to the Dreamfleet 310 since I fly that more than anything else. Over this weekend I've discovered (by flying several different aircraft) that it's affecting more than just the 310. At this point, I've seen this in the DF Archer, DF Cardinal, Default Baron, Default C182, Airheads Deke, the IK DC9, the F1 C152 and the FSD Seneca. It's too widespread to be any one product or aircraft. It has to be something in my system but I'm at a complete loss for what.When I thought it was a DF issue, I posted something similar to this over there. Hello all!I have just not been into the flight simulation thing for a while. I have a job involving aviation, and it is taking a large majority of my time.Well, I have come to a point where things are finally settled, I think.
