Hi all, I am using Eric Marciano's awesome, A320 panel with the IFDG A320. Everything seems to work fine but I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the audio messaging after it first sounds. I get allot of traffic alerts thanks to FS9's ATC. It is kind of distracting listening to TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC on approach. I really don't want to disable the sound because it is useful. I have been working on a plane for quite a while now and found it would often crash fs9 under certain test conditions. What I also found was that if the crash occured during slew mode my joystick main entries in the cfg were completely wiped out. Luckily I had an older version with my favoured settings so I just pasted the section from there back into the current file. I had not realised until then that settings could be lost in this way so I now think it is a wise move for all of us to save any good working version of the cfg on a fairly regular basis to save the hassle of setting up the exact configurations all over again even if it means having to create a new cfg and …

I noticed on the main page that this product has gone on sale. I have been looking at this offering since version 2 has come out but just could not seem to justify it. However, with this simple technique called 'a limited time sale', the producer won me over. I did get it and I am really enjoying it.But my question is, why dont we see this with FS addon producers. Granted, maybe a few (very few) have done this in the past? I can quickly count 6 older addons that I would buy today if there was say a $5US break on the product. I am not talking recent stuff. Greetings fellow simmers,Is there a way to set the default visibility at a number less than60. The slider stops at 60 and it won't budge no matter how hard I push on the mouse. (joking). Anyway, if someone knows how to alterthe FS9.cfg or ? to make the max vis something more normal like 15, I would appreciate the imput.I suspect it would also reduce the sudden changes in vis we all experience. When (in the real world) are pre-takeoff checks done -- ie in a C172 running the engine, checking for magneto drops etc.Do you do it at the holding point -- and if so what if you're in a queue for takeoff, surely you don't hold up all the traffic behind you. You can't be moving because most checklists include having the parking brake on. Also in a more complicated aircraft the checklist is quite long. Any ideas?

I found a site which lists the route of the air race, but I was wondering if there is a place where they list the actual ICAO codes as there are sometimes quite a few airports to decide from in a city.Thanks-Mikkel

Got a problem. Don't know why it happened, or, how to fix it. The GPS gauge in all my aircraft has disappeared for both 2D and 3D panels. Also, when I click on the hot spot/button to activate same on the panels where it's hidden, nothing happens. It's just gone.The only two things I've done re: FS 2004 recently have been the installation of the FFS Super King Air and the 4.6 driver for my Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card.Anyone got any ideas as to the cause & remedy for this situation?Thanks,Jim

I remember seeing comments about this problem of blank squares around some airports previously but don't remember the "cure". Can anyone enlighten me please? I have Gerrish Gray's "Trees3" but it seems to be only for FS2002 and FS2000. I'd appreciate specific directions for remedying this problem. If you would, email me direct please! Hi,I know S-Combo is not supported anymore, but I thought maybe someone has a quick answer.S-Combo will not work together with RFP2 on my computer. I am running WinXP, FS9, FSUIPC v3.220, S-Combo as downloaded over Panelshop.com v2.02.Here is what I do: start FS9, loading the RFP2 aq. flight from KSEA-KORD. Starting S-Combo. Starting Activesky2004. I then get a FS9 msg "s-combo hat aborted..." with an programm error msg: Error : 76 - Path not found in 'UpdateBlackbox' routine.When I then turn the BLOCK BOX RECORDER off and start S-COMBO a second time, S-COMBO is aborting again. (I posted this in the PMDG forum too. It may be a repeat for some of you....)Does anyone know how (or even if) to update any of the navaids in FS9? Case in point: I was flying from KALB to KMCO. One of my fixes was Savannah (SAV). PMDG and FS Navigator have the correct and current Lat/Long for the new SAV TACAN location, but FS9 does not. There was a disparity in the route via PMDG FMS and what FS9 was expecting me to fly.I know I could just "take it like a man" and ignore the ATC and go about my merry way. Hi All,Last night I tried to use my "external" camera view in Active camera.I could not get it to work, all that happen was it lost the VC when I ticked the external option, and could not pan or move around.When I unchecked the external option I could again look around the VC, but no matter what I do, I cant get the external camera option in Active Camera to work.Any Ideas?CheersDan.

I am not sure if it is just that my VC is not the best (Nvidia Ge Force 5200, 128mb), but when I set the Antialiasing at 2x, my fps drop from 29/30 to 14/16, unless I am flying at high altitude. Also when I check some gauges, such as the GPS it takes a couple of seconds for it to appeaer, and another couple of seconds to dissappear, and if I switch views when I get back to the main panel it comes slowly from the bottom as if I was rolling up a curtain. So, normally if I am not taking pictures I keep the antialising at "application controlled" and fps keep at 29/30.With the anisotropic settings I have no problem since it is set at 8x and doesn't seem to have any effect.Any…

when downloading real world weather today it gave me 50 miles visibility when at that time the visibilty was 10 miles. happened twice. also if i change only the visibility in the user defined area after downloading real weather it seems to alter some other settings as well. is this normal and am i supposed to clear the weather before downloading real weather? i'm also having a HARD time trying to make a level 20 degree turn in the default baron. i can do it in the cessna 182, no problem but the baron is giving me a fit! i don't chase the needles but can't seem to keep the AI from jumping around. it will bob up and down, very sensitive or to sensitive. i've moved my sensit…

Hello.Can anyone recommend a utility that will allow me to export gauges for specific aircraft in FS2004? I know there are a couple out there that will allow you to remove an aircraft and the gauges that go with it but that isn't what I want to do. If it has the ability to do that as well then I guess that would be a bonus.There used to be one or two for FS2002 but I haven't seen any yet that work with FS2004.If you know of one I'd like to try it out.Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how to find the fuel gauges in the FSD Cheyenne?

There's an FPDA Boeing callout gauge with the SGA DC-10 panel, but no callout .wav files are provided in the ZIP file. Are there supposed to be callouts with this panel? If so, how do I get them?Appreciate advice, thanks!JS

Has anyone here on the forum tried merging the excellent PMDG panel to the Kittyhawk 737-800? I've started experimenting with it, but I would love some tips if anyone has tried it. At the moment I've tried keeping the KH aircraft.cfg, changing only the flap settings and using the PMDG airfile. This works somewhat, but I feel it could be further improved on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.Lee

Okay, I know I should know this by now, but in going back and flying the Baron I've discovered that I've always had a problem getting these aircraft up there. The aircraft notes say that the Baron has a maximum ceiling of ~20,000 feet. However, I'm having trouble getting too much past FL 125. I can't climb without my speed flirting dangerously with stalling, and even in straight and level at FL 130 I'm only flying at 126 IAS (156 TAS). I've got my prop pitch at 69% and mixture at 27%.I even pulled out the Microsoft help documents to see if they could help me. During the last few weeks I've been tweaking, installing scenery, AFCAD files and aircraft, etc, to FS2004 on a new computer, and until today it has been virtually trouble free.Now the framerate drops to 1 when I try to move on or close to the ground. It happens with any aircraft, and at any airport. Slewing still works, but not good old taxiing, taking off or landing. As soon as the plane starts moving the framerate drops to 1 and the sim becomes unusable. But if I slew to altitude, and start flying from there, it works fine until I'm about 50 ft above the runway, then the framerate goes back to 1 again.Now, I must admit that I've done quite a lot of scenery installing a…
