Hi all -I have a pilot in my VA who is running FS2002, and currently has his fuel load displayed in gallons. He would like to switch it to pounds, but he cannot seem to find where to change it. I run FS2004, so I am not of any help to him - can someone let me know where the pounds/gallons setting is for measuring fuel in FS2002? Thank you kindly!-Greg

I was watching a show last week on the crash of American 1420. The MD-80 crashed in Little Rock in 1999 while landing in a severe thunderstorm (heavy rain, hail, crosswinds of 45knts, gusts to 70knts). The crew made a terrible mistake by trying to land. The plane skidded down the runway, overshot it and hit a wall. 10 dead including pilot.Key factor to the overshoot was failure of the crew to set the spoilers to deploy on landing.I have to admit that I have landed in FS a number of times where for whatever reason the spoilers do not deploy....of cours in the sim the plane still stops.My question is, do the ground spoilers have any effect at all in the sim ?Mark.

Does a parameter exist in the FS9.CFG file for adjusting the rate of intensity of approach- and runway lighting during the dark hours of flying?Paddy.

Charlie Kreznor offered a solution via two forum posts, to my D/L problem, but still I am unable to D/L anything from the library. He suggested I post my problem in hopes that a second level tech would read it and offer a solution. It seems that because built in FS ATC is so bad at sequencing even the default traffic for landing that it would affect enjoyment of an AI traffic program like Ultimate Traffic. Is this true?It seems I would get very annoyed if every other time I come in for landing I have to go around or end up crashing into the plane in front of me because of poor separation. Would seem to take the fun out of it?There seem to be alot of fans of UT. Do you just "live with" the problems the ATC causes the add on?Thanks for any feedback.

Hi FolksGot a problem with the default scenery. When I load a flight all airports and lakes are elevated above the rest of the scenery. Help

I am new to the Virtual Flight experince, the deadline by myairline to submit and execute a flight plan is fast ticklingby yet each time i try to connect to ATC using SquawkBox irecieve the msg "attempt to connect timed out withoutestablishing a connection " the last one i recieved was"attempt to connect was fully rejected" someone outthere pls help counting on your support.Many thanks

Hi, I've just spent the last two days searching through the fourms to try and get an answer for this but couldn't find anything quite the same as this problem. After installing FS9 onto my parents new PC, everything was fine, however, after the PC was restarted, I got a regular stutter every 1-2 seconds. So, I updated the drivers to the forceware 61.12s and everything went back to running nice and smooth. That is until the PC was restarted again and the stutters were back! This time I tried deleting the FS9.cfg and when FS was started, no stutters. Is there a way to make the Virtual cockpit so it is not so dark in the 747,737,777 it looks like all the planes in the virtual cockpit mode are way to dark. Thanks for the help....

Hi all,Long time no post :) I was flying into O'Hare today (VFR), and the ATC screen was showing the Tower frequency as Class D airspace instead of B. I seem to remember FS2k2 correctly identifying airspace... is this a limitation in FS2k4, or am I doing something wrong?Thanks!Paul

Hi all... Ive got problems with bumps in various runways in FS9. I

Now this is strange and just started happening...After moving an aircraft in slew mode on the ground, when I go back to regular mode, the aircraft is suddenly moving very fast and at an altitude of several hundred feet...The throttle is at zero and the plane was sitting still when I entered slew mode...Any ideas on how I can cure this? Makes it impossible to set up flights or adjust position of the plane on the ground...Thanks!
