I've complained so much in different forums about slow gauges, so I feel like showing up when someone does it right too!Actually I haven't been simming much lately for the same reason. There's a lot of nice GA's out there, but they all suffer from those oh' so slow instruments.What I did wrong is this: I bought LOMAC and IL2 Forgotten Battles, and was stunned by the fluid performance of these games, but after a while I got bored by flying over those flat, unrealistic landscapes. There was a site out there somewhere that had GA AI Aircraft for AI use. They had all kinds of wonderful selections so that I could populate my skies with tons of GA Aircraft.Problem is -- I had to reformat and lost my favorites and now I do not have any clue where to find this site.Can anyone point me to it? I keep searching the web and I keep coming up with links into other im sites in general :-(Any help would be appreciated. Also I would love any recommendations on other sites that have GA AI traffic.

ive finally had it with flight sim and planes, ive realised what a horrible frustrating impossibly difficult game it is. EVERY single thing inthe #### game just annoys me, i cant land if i press F7 more than once, virtually every custom panel is bug ridden, the intelligence of the Autopilot sucks, what with it doing a crazy right turn every time u want to put heading or nav hold on. APP hold lands me 30 foot or so off the centre line, the tower always gives me the NON ILS runway, this game is just mental #### for me, the planes are just #### to fly, in real life its possible for the autopilot to land with full flaps, and keep a 5 degree or so nose up pitch, but flightsim …

Hi all. Just interested in the general opinion here.Do you look at you landing in Instant Replay or recorded Flight Video after completed flight? Or maybe the flight recorder?I do this maybe every third flight or so, especially if the scenery is cool or there

HiI know there is a line that you can put into the FS9.cfg to disable all messages brakes,views etc.I`d like to do that and would appreciate any help.ThanksTroy

On the attached jpg of the main panel. What are the gauges 1 and 2 that I have marked and how do they work. I cannot figure it out. Gauge 2 seems to do nothing except move 90 degrees and gauge 1 is a similar mystery...I think it should point to the VOR but cannot get it to work. Any help is appreciated.Mark.

hi ive got a lil problem with APP hold, basically its getting me to the runway in 1 piece and maintaining the correct rate of descent, but approach hold always gets me about 15 foot or so off the centre line.its in about half of my planes this, mainly boeings, the airbuses get me bang in line with the centre line and maintain a far more perfect approach.am i doing something wrong, is there a way i can change something? i can assure im not making basic errors, im maintaining 150 knots with about 7/10ths flaps, theres no wind either and theres no trim that i ve changed. please help me with this.

I know I may be a few months behind on this but I found the ** heavy Jets and bombers to be a great package. I really got it solely for the B-17 and while you can get that by itself the price for the complete package is almost equal to the B-17 by itself. I have always wanted to fly the B-17 and it seems by most of what I read it is close to the real thing as you can get in FS9. I havent flown any of the other aircraft yet but I look forward to trying them out. Anyway just thought I would post this and see what anyone else thinks. I was curious what everyone does with the payware exe file after you install the scenery or plane? Do you delete it or keep it?I have kept most of mine, but they are starting to take up space on the hard drive. I kind of want to delete them, but Im not sure that is a good idea incase I ever need to re install the stuff.

I'm always on the lookout for new high-powered twin, freeware or payware, but I noticed how the new Neuroflight aircraft is $47.00.She looks like a real nice aircraft but that price is a little steep for me. :(

I run Win XP and cannot define and keep a default flight in FS9. So I have to choose a flight each time I reload....which is often because I am designing new scenery.

Hi allI have found that my system prefers to have external a/c textures in DXT3 format(with no mipmaps) and I have been converting any of my a/c 32 bit or DXT(with mipmaps) textures using the DXTBMP programme. Generally these external textures have a T in their file name. However sometimes, the BMPs associated with the VCs are also large file sizes and I suspect that they also are 32 bit files.So can somebody who is in the habit of converting their texture files to DXT3 tell me which files should be converted?Thanks in advance Barry

I installed Raimondo Taburet's Las Vegas Scenery, but then decided to ininstall because it only covers one season, Summer. After the uninstall, all I got was gray where ground textures should have been restored. Raimondo and I have been in communication, and he has tried to help, and I do appreciate his interest. I reinstalled textures from FS CD #4, which I think is where they are stored. Anyway, no luck...still gray. And, there is another problem, perhaps related...a double listing for Mccarren International in the Airport directory. I'm fairly new at using FS9 and still struggling with the nuances.I thought I followed the steps outlined in another thread from yesterday in order to open up the Flight1 PC-12 cold and dark. But I did check the "make this the default" option.Subsequently, as would be expected, everything I chose opened cold and dark with two additions. Start up goes well, either in the individual sophisticated aircraft or using Ctrl-E, but here are the two things I can't seem to fix.1) The two red lines of script for F/R, alt, etc., which I almost never use, are on at startup, and2) Whenever I pause the sim for any reason, upon returning to the sim the engine quits.I have…

The sound of the ATC [Air Traffic Control] no longer works in my FS 2004, and the choice of Pilot voices has gone from the Settings - ATC box.The ATC sound is turned on in the Settings - Sound box and all other sounds are working as normal.Also the ATC text does not show even thought the box is ticked in the Settings window and so I don't know what runway is being cleared for taxiing and landing. The Air Traffic Control window display options are still available on the screen display...Request Taxi to Gates..etcDoes anyone have any ideas on how to rectify this problem without a complete reinstall?

In the past (fs98,fs2000-not sure about fs2002), there used to be a freeware fps counter add-on that gave Max-Min and avg fps on a flight. Is this thing still available for Fs 2004 ?? Ed. Cardenas van Grieken

Why is it that the f/sec are less than a third what it is during day time ...?My frames are locked at 25 and during the day it pretty much stay at 25 but during the same settings / weather / aircraft at night, it falls to between 9 and 13.RegardsT
