IP Address is 145.112.50.65And no it is not an IP Address from my ISP Providor. They all begin with 24. :-)Hello,Well, I have been doing some research today after being the recipient of a targeted DNS ICMP Unreachable Attack. First off, here is the evidence I have accumulated. I use ZoneAlarm, and either this person is an IDIOT, or very smart. I have not decided yet. The first one was way back on:07-31-2001Here are the dates:07-31-200112-01-200102-13-200204-02-200206-03-2002By the way, the one today pushed me over the proverbial nice guy edge and I decided to act. :-)I have been pretty resilient to these types of things as they occur, but alas, even I get bored wit…

All,I caught a cool show on my TiVo from the Discovery Channel last night called "Private Jets". I have watched only the first 15 minutes of it so far and it is quite enjoyable. It starts out following a corporate pilot through his 4 a.m. wakeup to go prepare his company's Citation X ready for the day's flights. The next segment followed a customer through the process of custom ordering a jet. I'm anxious to see the rest!It is not too late for you to see it. The hour-long show will be repeated at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday, June 8.

I finally had no choice and installed an antivirus software on my PC since weird things were happening. Lo nad behold 26 files were affected and 24 of them could be "healed". But 2 had to be deleted. One of them is c:windowswin32.dll. This looks like a system file. The file is now encrypted by the antivirus software and in a "vault" so it can't be used by anybody. I wonder what this dll is for. So far I do not see any problems without having this dll. Another file that had to be deleted was c:windowsie_pack.exe.I am running Win Me.Michael J.

This is the place for off-topic posts.http://www.guardian.co.uk/kashmir/Story/0,...,725968,00.htmlPray for peace, and if you don't believe in God or prayer, let your voice be heard. A collective voice of the planet must cry out immediately for an end to the madness.Never has humanity faced such times. And before anyone starts flaming me about how, "...there have been wars for time immemorial" I say, never has so much vitriolic covered the planet at a time when the players had nuclear weapons, and daily threatened the use. Add the radical factor of terrorism, and its apparent success, or at least rationalization as a just political tool, and you have the makings of Arma…

Hey everyone,I've just been thinking about this.First off, I'm a bit of a retro man. In other words, I'd prefer to fly a 747 classic than the 400 series. As we all know, the future of planes is becoming more advanced; and from the time pilots were really 'Hands on', its now coming to a matter of the pilot being someone who monitors computer screens.I've always wanted to be an airline pilot in the future. However, if in x years, the pilot would just have to press a button, and the plane would take you from the gate of departure to arrival, would there really be any point of an 'airline pilot'?In my opinion, if what I predict IS the future, then I might as well take my career…

I'm unable to create any bookmarks today for AVSIM threads. When I create a bookmark, I receive the message that the topic has been added to my bookmarks, but when I go to retrieve it, the subject bow is blank, with no link. Is anybody else having this problem?

Let me say upfront, I own no guns, have never owned a gun. I do believe in gun control, registration, and all sorts of other "liberal" ideals. OTOH, I was a military citizen for 15 years, understand that guns are required in todays world, and that those who are properly trained can and do operate them responsibly. Should guns be allowed in cockpits? I say yes. If an ATP can handle a 747, he can probably handle a 9mm with little effort. All military pilots pack heat. IMO, our civilian pilots should too. Makes sense to me. What about you?Anyway, someone in our current administration does not share my views.http://twa800.com/news/wnd-5-27-02.htmCheers,bt

Hey gang. Some of you old geezers might remember Captain Slug, most of the time simply referred to as CS. I was wondering whatever happened to the guy? I know he was ill and was doing something with robots.. I tried to look up the site but couldn't find any. So, my question is, anyone know where I might find some of these old gems? In particular his Komet and the Fantrainer.

I was browsing the forums this evening, and was noticing how many people had large signature files, and started checking the file sizes and noticed the average signature file was 19K. As I was checking image sizes in users signatures, I noticed that many were hosted using AVSIM's server, which I thought was against AVSIM's policy. I counted approximately 30 users with signature images hosted on the AVSIM server.Average signature image size = 19KIf these people post on just one thread a day (most post 5 or more) that's 19K x 30 = 570KThe average new threads per day are at least 50.50 new threads per day X 30days = 1500 new threads per month. The average thread on the gene…
