Hi guysFSX Windows 7 64 bit.For a good year i have been trying to work out why IVAO IVAP module when running, decreases FPS. I am finding currently flying on cruise that if i window it, and make the size almost the size of the screen, the fps are better than if i go to full screen [less low-end spikes.]I have set the theme to Windows 7 basic, but is there more i need to do?Seriously any any suggestions regarding the above two issues, would be greatly appriciatedAlex

I've been aware of Lockheed Martin's licensing of ESP from Microsoft for some time, but they contacted me this week to announce the upcoming RTM of their custom OEM version of FSX/ESP (called "Prepar3D") for commercial use:http://www.prepar3d.com/They expect this to go RTM in about three months. This is good news for us, since our shareholders and partners needed a path forward to use our FTX products commercially. The interesting news is from Lockheed is that they are improving the codeline with bug fixes and improvements. I will certainly be lobbying them for multi-core CPU and DX10/11 support, and an extended animation engine. If we can get some current-gen tech smarts i…

Hi,I didn't know where else to post this. If you live in the United States, I'd like to ask that you sign the petition and pass this information along to your friends and family members. Looks like the bill is one vote shy of passing in the Senate. If you visit other web sites, I'd also like to ask that you copy and past the info on these sites as well.http://www.change.org/911_environmental_action/petitions/view/tell_your_senators_give_sick_911_survivors_responders_the_medical_care_they_need_deserveThank you

For many of us, the movie "Airplane" rates as the high point of comedy. Its star, Leslie Neilsen, who played the doctor to deadpan perfection, passed away today at 84. "Airplane," along with the "Naked Gun" films, stood apart from the other comedies of their time.

Over the past couple of years, several fired Boeing engineers including former phantom works and 40 year Boeing vet Vince Weldon - a man who literally played a key part in making the moon landing possible, who designed critical components on the 727, Apollo vehicles, and space shuttle- vehemently opposed the lackluster testing that has been done to the Boeing 787. He holds degrees in aerospace engineering and is a composites expert, having worked with composites for over 20 years. Weldon joined Boeing in 1960, in what was a 46-year career with the firm. He was first involved in the wing design of the Boeing 727 airliner, a design that incorporated high-lift devices such …

In the UK they just can't deal with snow. I was supposed to fly out of Gatwick for Sofia today, very early in the morning - it just started snowing here and I was expecting delays, but to be honest I didn't think it would lead to the closure of the Airport. There was no warning this might happen from anyone.Any form of transport here has also crapped out completely - getting back from the airport took the whole day. I feel sorry for all the people who are still stuck at Gatwick.Any snow always causes mayhem with the transport in and around London. They are never, ever ready for it.

Hello, this may seem silly but I was wondering if there are any other sources out there to view satellite images. I am trying to get a close up of a resort on Isla Mujeres Mexico. Google Earth's image seems to have a lot of glare from the sun hitting the beach. Bing's image is too old - the resort was still under construction (it opened in 2009). I need to get close enough to be able to see the 3x5 pools on the roof top suites. I can also use a base map that I can open in ArcMap10 - I have it on my home computer. Thanks

Just recently bought the Flight1 BN Islander, what a fantastic plane it is. One of the liveries is of G-BOMG. My everyday job involves training Rapid Response Ambulance drivers high speed driving skills. The drivers operate nationwide on organ transplant work, they move patients, surgical teams and organs, often to meet timescales we have to use aircraft. I was curious then to see that G-BOMG in BA colours has the crest of the Scottish Ambulance Service on it. Further research showed that it was operated by Loganair and also used as an Air Ambulance. G-BOMG was lost in 2005 while carrying out an ambulance mission, unlike the recent Citation crash at Birmingham Airport whe…

I just found this website: http://www.flightprosim.com/A civil flight sim that I've never heard of before. My "shady" alarms are howling like there's no tomorrow; I find the fact that they spell it "Air Craft" particularly worrying. Does anyone know what the heck this is??-Scott A

Airports that do not have very good supply networks like smaller holidays islands; Madeira, Balierics, Caribbean Islands etc etc. Also, places like Toncontin in Honduras. Are those places able to supply fuel for aircraft returning to their bases, or must those aircraft carry sufficient for the return leg?
