...or Aeroport De La Seu (LESU). I stumbled across this little gem of an Airfield today and just had to recommend it to any of you VFR /STOL guys out there who, like me, have FreemeshX, Orbx Global and the OpenLC-Europe packages installed. This region is simply breathtakingly beautiful. Crank your settings up guys and go and spend a glorious couple of hours aloft. Me? Back to LESU for a bit more 'therapy' !!

Hi, Not purchased yet, but had a scan of the manual where it is advised to turn off NE via scenery library during the daytime. Is this because the lights will still be illuminated during the daytime, or simply an FPS consideration? Regards, Daz

Why don't developers take a cue from the tried and trusted Real World methods of building planes? An aircraft company builds planes... it doesn't build the instruments. The instruments are made by companies specialising in making instruments and bought by the aircraft companies who then fit them to the aircraft. Maybe making some adjustments for the type/spec of the aircraft. So some good developers in the Flightsim world could do the same... specialise in making Proline XX's or Garmin Gxxxx;s etc. then the Flightsim aircraft builders can buy them at wholesale prices... and Joe Public can buy them as retrofits etc as well, at a higher price. That way us…

I think we could have a thread for suggestions only, and really not only where to ask questions. I've started this one, but the format is probably not the most adequate - feel free to change it, of course... [WEATHER] Include density effects due to moist, and actually taking into consideration the effect of moist in asphirated engines; [WEATHER] Include Temperature effects in pressure gradient such that in cold Winter days the pressure surfaces will be "compressed" giving a lower "absolute" altitude / height, for a same level QNH; I also think we could Tag each suggestion with a few keywords such as: WEATHER - for weather modeling requests PROPULSION - F…

I'm going to school for business management and I've thought that maybe a place I'd like to work is someplace I know at least a little bit about the field of work, like airlines, or airports, at this point it's just an associates, and I'd be willing to go farther if I needed it or could make more with a higher level, but money isn't really the issue it's doing something I find interesting. I'm also interested in languages, and I figure working for maybe a global airline in some capacity may solve both my desires of being able to use my languages of study and enjoy my work. So any ideas? I'm still a couple years away, but I'm done with prerequisites, and I believe in plan…

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if everyone will benefit from this move, but I tried it tonight and I like the look. In my menu on the 4K's I have the option of setting my picture to Dynamic, it looks GREAT at night... Not good for daytime, there it looks like I'll have to go back to Natural. I'll have a video online soon.

Greetings. I work at an EASA part-147 maintenance training organisation that offers training on business jets. Many of our courses have a theoretical component where we train the students how the aircraft systems operate. We use training aids like scale posters of panels and EICAS displays, instructional videos, etc. in a classroom, then move on to practical training - disassembling and operating systems on a real aeroplane in the hangar, up to and including engine ground runs on the apron. We'd like to step the classroom training up a notch, by having highly realistic FSX models of the jets in our repertoire. These include: Bombardier Global 5000 & 6000 …

I just found this: "On this episode, we get together with Stephen Hood, Creative Director at Dovetail Games. He walks us through the creative and thought process that went into building a compelling simulator to achieve such a task as this. Through this interview you’ll find that much care was taken with this community, with much thought and care being put into this new, experiential flight simulator." AviatorCast Episode 83: Flight School from Dovetail Games w/ Stephen Hood Interview begins about 7m30s in. Enjoy.

Last night, I thought I would shake things up and perform a flight in the middle of nowhere. I had no idea what I was getting myself into until about half way through the flight, which I will get to in a minute. I recently purchased the A2A Piper Comanche for P3D and I have to say, I love this plane better than the C182 from them. I don't know why, but it's a great plane to fly, and one of it's features saved my life. I performed a flight from ENJA to BITN. I installed the ORBX Jan Mayenfield freeware airport and initially thought it was on the mainland...I was wrong, of course (sometimes my ignorance gets the best of me). Anywho, I fired up the Piper and took of…

Hello All / Chris Bell I bought NE British Isles for Prepar3D. I am using Orbx Global and Orbx North Ireland and Ireland. The sim crashes every time it try to run it in the light map area. I also tried to register on the NE forum but it will not send me an authorization email to complete my registration. It's not in my spam or junk folder. I sent an email to admin and received no support or reply. Can anyone confirm that. This products works for 3.1? Thanks , Daniel
