No Vic I don't have FSUIPC. I just re-formatted my computer and I don't have that loaded yet. I will try that see if it works then. If not I will start with my hardware. Thanks

Hi. When I load my flight it starts with the view inside the cockpit. when I touch any button it goes to the outside view. No matter what button I push. wondering if anyone else has this problem and what I can do to stop this. I fly mostly PMDG 777 with high detail scenery so VAS is a high concern. when it goes to the outside view my VAS increases and seems to never come down to where it was before the outside view pops up. this happens only once and when I first start the sim. I upgraded from a GTX750 to a GTX 970 and I seen very little increase in frames as well. I seen a huge improvement in P3D though.

calibrate your throttle in the FSX menu. That's where I would start. Hope this helps

Hi I just got a 2nd monitor for my computer. All seems to work well I can open up a window in my main screen and drag it to my second screen and use it with no problems. when I use the PMDG777 and open up the CDU or auto pilot screen and try to drag it to the second screen it does not work. Is this something that is unable to do or am I not doing something right. any help would be great Thanks, William Coade

Hi I have a computer that I installed a new SSD on. I reformatted my old hard drive so I am starting off new. I want to install FSX:SE and all my add-ons. Just wondering what the process is. Can I download all the files to my old Hard drive and install them to the SSD or do I need to download and install them all to the SSD. I already have Steam downloaded and installed on my old HD. Hi Martin I would like to start by saying thank you for reaching out to the community to answer some of our questions I read this comment from you about bring in a new lighting engine which I think is one of the most important features that need to be upgrade in the new sim. I have read your previous comments on certain technology's you are trying to implement into DFS. I was wondering what the aim is for a new lighting engine. I do not use X-Plane but have seen videos of there lighting system where objects will move in and out of the path of street light at night and and will be lit up as they move through the light. I find this very realistic and wondering if this is one of the goals of the new lighting engine. I understand if this is still early in the development and you are unable to get into details but if there is specific details that you could share with us this is something I am very interested in. the first part of this thread talked a lot of which engine Dovetail was basing there new simulator off of. They have announced it will be based off FSX. The question I have is isn't Flight based off of FSX. If it is cant they take the best of the features from Flight and put in to there new simulator that they will release later this year. My impression was Flight was always based off of ESP/FSX. Can anyone here answer that? stonelance? Thanks

I have it working in V3. I installed the same way I installed flytamp's scenery before they had proper V3 installers. Its in there fourm not sure if its still there

yeah I found out what was going on. I have flytampa cyyz installed. never moved over the effect folder into p3d v3. I re installed p3d v3 and installed the effect files properly. seems like it did the trick for the textures. I am still getting a lot of errors from PMDG 777 so I opened a ticket. see what happens. All seems to be working fine now

Hi I have had V3 for a few days now. I have the PMDG 777 and GSX, CYVR, KIAD, and flytampa CYYZ installed. I have had no problem until yesterday. now when I load an aircraft it takes a long time for the textures to load and the cockpit textures don't load at all. Most of the time after 5 min or so flying around going from spot view to cockpit view it will not respond and just shut down. The error log is full of texture errors not loading. I could post if someone thinks it maybe helpful. Win7 i5 4690 gtx750 Had V2.5 installed but I uninstalled that and deleted as many V2 files as possible before installing V3 Any help would be great

It seems the forums are still in Performance mode. It this right or is it just my computer. Its been over a week since P3D V3 has been released.
