  1. Pyreegue is doing LEPA.
  2. I use the numeric keypad (or did until I bought Chaseplane).
  3. Yes, quite true. I was thinking of here in UK I know of airfields in the middle of nowhere where there is nothing atc-wise until you can perhaps contact a Flight Information Service. I was watching a video yesterday of a chap in Cornwall who just pulled his aeroplane out of a large shed and took off. No radio, nothing. Seems perfect.
  4. If you're flying out of a real airfield without a tower or whatever then you either just take-off or contact the nearest atc available.
  5. BMA had DC3s from their early days as Derby Aviation, based at Burnaston, an old RAF field near Derby. They moved to Castle Donington, later renamed East Midlands, and became British Midland Airways in 1965. The first plastic model aeroplane I ever made in the 60s was of a BMA DC3 G-ANTD, which I kept for years until I went overseas with the RAF and my mum binned it :(
  6. I've disabled the eye tracker and just use headtracking. I have a decade-old MS webcam, only 30fps, but it works well. It's better in a well-lit room.
  7. Beam is brilliant, easy to set up, and cheap, very cheap. You don't need to use a phone, a webcam is best. That's all you need. There's a trial from Steam but the full software doesn't need Steam. I sold my Tobii, couldn't get on with it.
  8. From my point of view it's a shame it's a -500. In another life I worked for Court Line and Gulf Air, and they had -1/-100s, not -500s. I flew the Capt Sim version a lot, and really enjoyed it. Anybody who buys this will surely enjoy it a lot; it's a fabulous airoplane, way ahead of its time. I'm waiting for the JF A300, another that I had real-life dealings with.
  9. There'a a lot of stuff in C/ProgramData/Fenix.
  10. C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content\Packages\asobo-services\AirportServices\Shared This shoud help. I already removed the GA little tug. Beware that a sim update may restore it.
  11. A few odd things happening lately. Last week MSFS2024 vanished from my desktop completely. My XBox library said thad I didn't own it and the only options I had were Gamepass or buy it agin. Eventually I found a little thing that said 'Games played recently' and it showed there. I clicked and the game started. So very frustrating.
  12. 320 Sim Pilot and Blackbox711 on Youtube are my go-to real life pilots, both Airbus and Dreamliner too. Learnt everything from them over many years. Beaten to it!
  13. Fenix have the NEOs coming some time in the new year.
  14. Good point, I was just using my imagination without looking closer.
  15. I think the best way to use it will be to Disable All then Enable the few that you use.
  16. Support told me there isn't one in 2024.
  17. A huge improvement over the equipment we had in the early 80s for B737 and A300 - a procedural trainer made out of wood and paper. It worked though. Also cheap.
  18. Black pudding is truly delicious until you find out what's in it. I will still eat it though.
  19. You must remove all traces of vaseline and anything else on there. Anything greasy like that and you're doomd to failure. Get it clean and dry then use the PTFE, or perhaps a silicone spray.
  20. Twenty-five years so far. I'm 78, just about got the sim where I want it, all the hardware and software that I thought I needed, then realised that I hadn't flown for a month. No longer enjoyed it. Solution - go back to basics, learn it all again, but better. This very positive video cheered me up no end 🙂
  21. If you buy the A320 and A319/A321 separately it's the same price as the bundle of all three. You can't have the 319/321 without already owning the 320. I would just get the bundle which is everything in one package. Fenix only sell on their own site.
  22. Fenix know it's off, hence the rework they are doing now.
