Carenado Premier IA

It's a Carenado for sure these days, they don't even want to go through the required process to call it a Beechcraft. Cessna or whatever else for what they pump out!

To cheap to get a license or whatever else would be required.

You can fault Carenado for a lot of things, but lots of developers, including top-tier ones, don't appear to have the permission to use the manufacturer's name for their aircraft, for whatever reason.

Just two examples:

  • I've generally been a supporter of Carenado.  In the FSX era they'd release a semi buggy product but also release a patch later, or the community would fix it IE Bert Pieke. Unfortunately I've no

  • >Why do folks keep buying Carenado's rubbish planes? For the same reason people still buy ford Focus and Kia Sorentos when there are much better quality and more comfortable Lexus and Mercedes

  • Rubbish, like Beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. For me, Carenado make good product. Their stuff looks really good and is easy to fly without having to learn all sorts of fancy tricks. Which

It seems OK here.

There are a lot of switches in the roof panel that need to be adjusted to taste.

I've not probed the handling yet but a solid IFR flight using the Pro Line above 500 ft ending with a 20 kt crosswind landing went well enough.

Later:

A bit more flying and I find the whole thing dreary and bound for the hangar.

After some excellent Carenado releases I had expected better. Let's see what other reviewers make of it but it's not for me.

Fixed.  Not sure what the issue was, however, I needed to add a panel light key bind for on and off, strange.  But anyway, lighting fixed my end

I try so hard to like their aircraft but once again - no panel backlighting, no perf init take off data, no wx/vspeed transfer to MFD/speed tape and no external power available.  And no custom tablet.

There's probably more issues, I wish they could just do better.

Just an update - I managed to get my panel lights to work by adding keybinds for Panel ON and OFF.  I've never had to do that, however in the 390, the panel light switch in the cockpit did nothing, strange.

Hmmm...not hugely into bizz jets but after checking out the (admittedly very poorly done) YouTube reviews I went to the Marketplace and bought the FlightFX Citation X which is three times the aircraft this Carenado is and only two of my great British pounds extra!

Currently at forty nine thousand feet over the Bay of Biscay doing mach .89😎

Great choice mate - the Citation X from FFX runs rings around this latest Carenado effort.

here's my take, it's a huge disapointment as I am type rated in this and flew one for a year....

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I guess those who bought it can provide further details on what difference the update makes.

Yes please refere to below:

– Improved CTRL+E functionality.

I guess you could say that Carenado is the most prolific maker of great looking hanger queens.  😁

"improved sounds" I am doubtful the engines are redone as well as mooing cow flap sounds that have been used since 1982
