I did back up my user.cfg and my community folder.  Does that still mean I have to re-install everything like asfs, realturb cat, batc, and dynamic lod?

Kind of funny seeing a highly successful gaming company totally screw their helpful/unpaid beta testers. Just think of the number of man-hours lost * the number of users recovering from this mess.

What should I do in case of:

I am using MSFS2024 Store (not steam)version

I opted into Beta view weeks ago

My installed version is 1.3.23

I used the sim the last time before the latest "above issued" update was rolled out.

Should I start my PC and

Go to Xbox insider hub and.

Opt out?

After I saved my community folder (wich is at an non standard location (I will rename my existing community folder anyway so that the sim won't find it and build a new one it's own won't harm)

Then restart the sim?

well think you got 3 choices

1  opt out

2 fly 2020 till they sort it out till the next time it happens

3 take your chances and start the sim after you have backed up everything else 🙂

Thank you, turbomax.

Another thing: since the update, the temperature of my GPU is very high (85ºC). Normally I have 65-69ºC!

I don't know what to do!

Hi, again

I've shut down my PC and started the sim. And now, the temperature has gone down to normal (around 60-65º C)

Sorry for the alarm!

Greetings

Since the "nightly" install changed your graphics settings, make sure you return it to "your standards" 🙂

I don't think they changed anything, but this time they even reverted the Cache file to the default 16 GB. I had mine at 32 GB...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Another day another monumental mess from this lot, I rue the day I chose the cheaper MS Store version 🙄 that's on me, the rest of it is yet again pure amateurism on MS/Asobos part.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

And it's been said so many times here to only use Steam. Very easy to get in and out of beta, never any problems with resetting settings etc.
