I don't think it's hardware because MSFS 2020 and all my other apps run with no problems, even though my computer is kind of mid range for 2024, but it ran good since day one. I can't find an event log and maybe there is not one since 2024 will not install. I tried the Game Pass and it still would not load, but I think I'll take Fielder's suggestion and try the beta. At this point I think I'll just have to wait on the next upgrade as Prolixinec suggested. I'm running Widows 11 and I hesitate to change back to Windows 10 because it was working fine before with Window 11. I'm beginning to think that whatever info about my installation that is stored on the cloud, just keeps downloading back in with each reinstall. Garbage in, garbage out. I wish I knew how to cancel my cloud info so I could start fresh and new. Roy Did you also try joining the beta? 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

Or are you telling me that when you start the installation, just nothing happens? The splash screen comes up, then the count down in the lower right corner, then the screen goes black with the little whir-a-jig, then it goes back to the desktop or to X-Box screen where I started it with Play. Roy And you have also signed in/out of the XBox app? Worst case you can try the Steam option and then you have definitive proof it's on their end and can email them for support. Maybe it's something cached in your account on the server side. Just speculating. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Roy No, you can't transfer it but Steam has a refund policy that would allow you to purchase it and install it to at least determine if it's a local (pc) issue or indeed something on the MS cloud side. If you can't install it from Steam either (which I doubt) then it's a PC issue but if it installs from Steam no issues then you clearly have an MS cloud issue and can email them for support. In either case you can then uninstall and get a refund with a definitive answer. @Krakin can probably tell you how to enable the Beta in 24 in the MS Store version I am not sure but this is what the interwebs say: Open the 'Xbox Insider Hub' on your PC or Xbox (or install it via the Microsoft Store if you do not have it yet). On the left side, click 'Previews'. Look for 'Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Beta' and select 'Join' or 'Manage'. From the list of Groups, select 'MSFS 2024 – Sim Update 01 Beta' and click Save.
