Any word on snow coverage? Or do they still consider their 20°C snow cover in vast areas of the Alps throughout four quarters of a year as being representative of a good weather engine? I mean, those guys are French, do they never fly in the French Alps in their own sim using live weather? The amount of ignorance, total stupidity or simply absolute absence of any kind of working QA control never stops to amaze me. It takes actually using the sim for 5mins to realize that this aspect is complete and utter nonsense, yet we have it almost entirely untouched for several years now. Impressive...

Typical PMDG, THE one update all are waiting for, the -800 update, will be last. A desperate attempt to sell some more copies of the otherwise less interesting variants. Understandable from a marketing point of view, it still simply sucks that we have to wait as -800 customer. Due to basically no reason 🤣

Does anyone know how I can fix that there are no takeoffs from RWY32 at LSZH and the queue getting longer and longer because planes still taxi to RWY32? MK Studios scenery, never observed that before...

Exactly for those issues, AutoFPS is THE tool to go for, you can set it up as such that you only have low settings on the ground where performance is hampered most. Just look for the thread here on avsim.

What is even more annoying: there is a huge bug thread in the off. forums with way over 400 votes, but as it was created for 2020, this doesnt show up on the 2024 bug list. Just another example on how worth nothing this system is...

@turbomax does MSFS2024 keep your settings? In my case, each time I fire up my sim, the frame gen setting is reverted to 2x instead of 4x. Slightly annoying...

Do you mind directing me to the recommendations by Chewwy? Or where do I find those settings to adjust? EDIT: nvm, found it in the off. forums.

Does Alt tabbing work? Because if not, this would be a showstopper for me... EDIT: it does work. And it is nice to have 4x FG option, but no surprise, it did not fully eliminate any stutter that is there with nVIDIA basic 2x FG. How could it, the stutters are due to CPU load spikes and they are still there even with 4x FG. They would still be there with 100x FG. But of course, they are slightly alleviated, because of the higher overall FPS slightly less noticeable. So for the moment, it is a keeper for me, lets see for how long 😉

where do you select model B? In DLSS Swapper, I cant select anything for DLSS framegen, only for DLSS I can select a preset, and I currently use preset M. This is slightly confusing now...

Usually, people not getting the FPS drop while panning, either have their FPS limited to a reasonable number (in whatever way). I currently use pretty high settings amd limit my FPS to 36, with the aim of getting 72FPS after framegen. This exactly half of my 144Hz monitor, providing the smoothest results on my rig. But it is on the edge in heavy scenarios, and in those I see these stutters while panning, if the FPS drop to much below my limit. If I use 30FPS, no stutters at all when panning, but it looks less smooth in general. So, I would say that if you run your sim with unlimited FPS, you will get the stutters while panning. Everybody will. l

Personal opinion: static aircraft can be a nice addition to have reasonably full airports without the need of 3rd pary addons injecting tons of planes (e.g. BATC, FSHud, AIG). For the sake of relatively empty skies of course. And for me, they have to come from the same library as the AI traffic, e.g. AIG models, because if not, the visual difference between statics and AI models is simply disturbing/immersion breaking...

It was just a suggestion that might (!) help, it did not. Was still worth trying, as clearing the shader cache doesnt harm...

Do you have nVIDIA or AMD GPU? And you know you can use the Gemini AI to provide you a very simple "how to"? Google AI tells me: nVIDIA GPU: To delete the NVIDIA shader cache, disable the shader cache in the NVIDIA Control Panel, restart your PC, and manually delete the contents of the DXCache and GLCache folders located in %localappdata%\\NVIDIA\\. Then set the shader cache size again on your preferred value (I would suggest "unlimited"). AMD GPU: To delete the AMD shader cache and fix potential game stuttering, open the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, navigate to Gaming > Graphics, scroll down to find Advanced, and click Reset next to "Reset Shader Cache". A system restart is recommended afterward to ensure a clean rebuild.

That is THE argument for me to buy it on the MP if I want it soon. Because I was not aware this is easily possible when they released the A340 the same way and by the time it came to the iniManager, my initial interest was gone and I still do not own the plane. Because I avoid buying via MP as much as possible, even though it would be more convenient to have everything in there, I simply cant stand the long update delays and the fact that everything is non-modifiable (although I rarely modify anything 😉 ). Advantage of waiting to the release via iniManager: the product most probably already got the first few patches 😉

Not in my case, plugging in headphones result in a complete audio output change by Windows (11) from the configuration "loudspeaker" to "headphones". Are you sure your sound settings are correct? Did you somehow tell Windows to manage the audio output per application/device?

Via BIOS. So yes, it affected software running alongside. But back then, not a lot was running in parallel. Now I cant test it anymore, no Intel, no E-Cores 🤣 But as mentioned, through my simming career, al this HT disabling stuff never provided any benefit for my rigs. The only thing that did was AffinityMask setting back in FSX/P3D times. Not unhappy that I dont have to tinker around with such things anymore though 😉

Back in my MSFS2020 days using a 13600K, disabling the E-cores resulted in hampered performance. Also now, my system is as optimized as possible so my impression is that activating the optimization somehow worsens the performance. I use it without, the dynamic LOD function of the tool is sufficient for me 👍😊

You can have as many favourites as you want, doesnt matter if you use the autoload option. And this option can only be activated for one weather, one environment and one atmospheric profile at once.

Could be. Or maybe they simply wanted to wait with the announcement until they have something to show and were forced to say it early because of Ini release. Either way pure speculation 😉

What is "FS2020 WU5-style"? Since SU4 and the last update for 2020, the scenery is basically identical, using the same photoground textures e.g. But of course, POIs and stuff from WU5 originally released for 2020 will still look the same, they did not recreate all 2020-WUs for 2024, obviously. If you really want only WU specifically created for 2024, you would have to check the release date of all WUs and disable those that were released prior release of MSFS2024. BUT: why should you. Even WUs for 2020 look better than anything 2024 native. So even if it is not on 2024 standards in some aspect, it is still better than default. That is why I would not bother at all (except of course for handcrafted sceneries where you bought an 3rd party addon variant).

Then list them here and I transfer it over to discord. If they are valid, I guess they should know it to improve the scenery, no?
