I just saw benchmark results and those left me disappointed.

I was hoping for a little more insight then that.

You have to read between the lines. If ideal says 32GB Ram, it's not for fantasy.

Besides reducing any possibility of running out of memory, some have mentioned performance benefits from increasing from 16 to 32 RAM.  This may or may not be an illusion.

I have 16, and would recommend 32, but it's not strictly necessary.

My experience has been is that that if a developer says 8gb, you should immediately start planning for 16gb, and if they say 16.........

I will say that my ram usage with the sim regularly exceeds 16.

I have 16gb right now, and I am buying another 16gb today.  The RAM is used to store the photogrammetry and AI rendered buildings.  When the graphics detail bar is increased, it populates more of the scenery with buildings and trees instead of flat satellite imagery.  The 32gb RAM will be beneficial in large cities.  If you plan on runnings graphics settings on high or ultra i would get 32gb, RAM is cheap right now.  I have maxed out on 16gb just using Google Earth VR and that is less graphically intensive than this sim, all those buildings eat up RAM.

To be doubly sure, I doubled the ideal spec and put 64gb into my new build.

Because overkill is underrated! 😺

It is..I also put in an sli of 2 gtx 2080ti, and some might think that’s crazy, but based on what we are hearing, it now looks like it was sage...

Sli still works these days and is supported?

In fact, SLI is a huge waste of money. Should sell one of those and cut your losses.

Based on every video I watched of before/after same game, the FPS is higher.  It obviously didn’t scale to double..in most cases it scaled up a minimum of 40%.

Sounds good..they probably faked all the videos I saw with the before and after where sli improved FPS from 40 % on up..

they faked the moon landings you know, so it would be easy to fake the results of an sli test.
