RXP GTN 750/650 Touch

Hi, I upgraded to the latest version yesterday and first thing I noticed was a performance hit compared to the prior version. I use VSync to lock my rate at 30fps and was able to maintain it during all sorts of conditions, but since the new upgrade I'm getting 4-7 less frames once the GTN is enabled which makes it noticeable. Version 2.3 allowed to maintain 30fps under most circumstances. Played with the new options [refresh rate and only enabled the North America Map] but the issue remains. I thought I did this in an earlier version, but now I can't find the plugin powered hotkeys for the GTN750 toggle. Is there a way to bind a keyboard or joystick button to show and hide the GTN750 window?

Hi, like you might have noticed a few customers have been having problems with the latest GTN update, and a few with the latest GNS update. Problems are mostly on XP11 Beta 9, and XP10 is working fine. It goes as far as I've just read a customer cannot start the simulator with the GTN unless he releases the Saitek toe brakes... go figure this one, this is a XP11 beta. Is it possible to install the GTN 750/650 on a separate PC on a LAN and operate it remotely from the main X-Plane? It is a brilliant product, but when i use it with more complex add-ons (like the Aerobask Epic E1000) my machine slows down to a snails pace. If I could run it on one of my old machines dedicated for the purpose it should be much slicker. Any chance? Congrats on a fantastic achievement by the way, massively improved my IFR flying. DD

Hello All Since the recent update, my GTN750 screen is blank when using it with Carenado C172II. If I hover the mouse over the screen I see the hand symbol so I believe the 750 is working. I just can't see anything. It works perfectly well in my other aircraft. I tried turning the instrument and panel lighting on my 172 all the way up, but that doesn't help. Also, I turned on the cockpit flood lighting. Still black screen. I am using XP10 (version 10.51) on Windows 10. As I said, I had the GTN750 working with the 172 prior to the update. Hi, Question: I can't seem to load the Garmin Trainer for X-Plane because the setup program keeps telling me that another Trainer Lite already exists and that I would need to remove it. Do I even need to update the Trainer software?

Hi, I bought and installed the GNS 750 yesterday in X-Plane 10 and I'm getting a blank screen after turning on the avionics. What am I doing wrong. I own the FSX and P3D versions of the GNS 750 so I am familiar with the operation of the device and how to work it. But it doesn't seem to want to work in X-Plane 10. Thanks in advance....

good day after install is complete there is no trace for the dll files only the 64 and 32 folder are actually there inside the plugin\rxpGTN folder thanks for your help - try 2 different pc but same results can you just quickly explain where exactly all the file are after installation ?

Hello I am having a problem with brightness win7, xp10.51, I have turned the manual offset to -10 % but the level still shows 100% in the backlight tab anyone with ideas please.

bought the 650 touch, but the installer is hanging. seems to download the trainer ok, but becomes unresponsive on installation. trying to install on both xp 10 & 11. gauges are installed in 11, but not working (blank screen). re running the installer from the reality xp folder on my c drive with "download trainer" unchecked seems to copy trainer files from one location to another. i have no garmin trainer in program files. where could i look for installation logs or errors?

Hi I previously had the Garmin TrainerLite for my P3D installation which I removed some time ago. I am now coming to reinstall the Garmin TrainerLite as I need it for my RXP GTN 750. However, the installer thinks the software is already installed (it isnt) and when I select the "remove" option from the installer to attemp to get it to start a fresh I get the error "Unknown source 'vista_firewall_rule_ca.dll'" How do I fix this? At the moment I cannot install or remove the trainer :( I am running on Window 10 64-bit home. Thanks

I read somewhere that there are several different databases out there for the Garmin one for North America and another for other places in the world. I am working on a setup where I change the cockpit config with different liveries from GNS530/430 to GTN750/650. All works well apart from RXP/GPS/MASTER_DEVICE_NEXT. I have setup a indicator to tell me which device is master and no matter what I set-up in the ini files true or false it always starts with GNS430-2 as master. When I select next device it goes to GTN-1, then GTN-2 and DEFAULT. It will not cycle the GNS-1 and GNS-2 but only looks at the GTN plugin. As the RXP/GPS/MASTER_DEVICE_NEXT is the same command for both plugins can we have some why to switch from one to the other or for this command to look at both ini files when both installed. Following a power loss DHCP reassigned the IP address needed by the GTN. Can anyone point me to the method to change to address RXP is looking for.

I do not know if this is a bug or how it should work. I have a two GTN installation and set up GTN750 as GTN1 and GTN650 as GTN2 with GTN750 as master device, all works well. I close down X-Plane 10 and do a restart and 750 and 650 have switched places and the 650 is master but even as 750 is in the GTN2 pull down menu is still opens and closes with toggle _window_1. If I put gauges = GTN_650_2, GTN_750_1 to gauges = GTN_750_1, GTN_650_2 it just changes back. Hey! I know it's included in the manual, but to be honest I am am afraid I don't really understand what I am supposed to do. I installed Garmin Trainer with RealityXP, changed folder names and added variables, unsintalled Trainer and installed Flight1 GTN with its trainer. Not one, but both garmins didn't work. Could someone provide a step by step guide how to get both to work at the same time? Thank you!

Hello again, I got the GTN to install into X-plane 9 and 10, but I am experiencing the blank/transparent screen problem others have spoke of. I did not see a link for a patch? Is there one? I just purchased it on 12-25-16, so pretty sure it is the current version. (Not sure how to find out what version it is) Did I miss something for the fix? Tommy
