525A Citation CJ2 HD Series for FSX | P3D

Hello, I just purchased this product and everything works fine except the FMS database will not load. When using SHIFT 9, it indicates 0 percent. Seems to hang. I created a trouble ticket with the Carenado folks but haven't heard anything yet. I use FSX Steam. Is anyone else been having the same problem? Thanks, Dave

I have acquired a pair of Citation Yokes out of a late model Citation 550 and have offered to provide them to a Aircraft Control Engineering (http://www.737yoke.com/ visit their FB page for pictures) to make copies and make available to those of us who prefer to fly something other than a Boeing or Airbus product. I've been flying a few flights now with the carenado citation CJ2 but so far I have never been able to change the amount of fuel on board. Does anyone else have the same problem and is it possible to change the amount of fuel on board?

I am wondering if It would be possible to request a repaint of a real world Citation CJ that I used to see at KSNA all the time. The real planes is a CJ3 but I think it would look really good on a CJ2. I really liked the paint and was wondering if someone would be able to create the paint. This paint job is the same as N525CD. Greetings: I just made the move to Prepar3d v.4.1. I have read every post, I think, about the Mod squads GTN 750 mod kit version 1.5 (I have1.4 for FSX ) there are a couple of references to it in the CJ2 forum it but for the life of me I cannot find the link to it. I've installed the MOD Squad GTN mods and it works very well, However, after entering my flight plan in the GTN, I can't figure out how to get the PFD CDI to follow the plan. I keep looking for a GPS/NAV switch or something similar, but I can't find it. How do I set the CDI to follow the flight plan?

Hi everybody, after having successfully avoided all previous Carenado private jet release, I'm now on the fence of buying the CJ2. I do own the GTN750 but I don't like the idea of putting it in the CJ2 simply because it is so unrealistic. So my question is: What are the main flaws I have to live with when I choose not to use the GTN mod? I can use the other mods, right? I just don't want the GTN. Thanks for your help!

Ok.....this is a strange one but it's happened on 3 different flights now. I have also had successful flights in between. Anyway I am happily climbing to FL400-420 and at various altitudes above FL180 the airplane will suddenly stall and then enter an uncontrollable spin that I can't get out of. It causes me to end my session and get really pi$$ed off! When climbing I am using FLC mode and climbing around 190-200 kts. I'm not step climbing and I am close to Max takeoff weight. I thought maybe I was having "icing" even though I was in clear air because I wasn't turning on the Engine Anti-Ice when the master caution light went off. So I tried using the anti-ice even …

Using P3D v4 and my CJ2 shuts down after 5 min or so with battery power on. Thought the problem could of been that i don't have FSUIPC installed and using infinite battery. So then I got everything up and running ,including engines and shuts down after 5 min. Am I missing a step here?...Thanks

Great looking aircraft - fps are amazing but I have few questions - anyone seeing this 1. Cant get the curtain to slide out of the way to see cabin 2. Not seeing flight level upper right hand corner of mfd 3. No splash light on tail - there is a fake picture of the knob which doe nothing 4. Not sure but where does vs get displayed not seeing anything change in cockpit - I can use my saitek panel to do it but not seeing a readout or knob for it have not done a fms plan - just some manual heading and vs stuff that worked well but without my saitek I would not have been able to know where to change it in cockpit She is a beauty and will be doing some repaint …

I have the CJ for FSX and it is v1.1, do i have to buy a new version for P3D v4 or is there an upgrade?

Before taking off with the CJ2 I set the Transponder mode to "ALT" and then click on the "TFC" button on the PFD and/or MFD to display traffic. When airborne, I now see other aircraft displayed as blue dots with labels. The dots also turn red when they get close (even when they are more than 100 flight levels below or above me!?), but I never get a "TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC" sound or any Resolution Advisory from TCAS (like "CLIMB, CLIMB NOW"), even though I came close to a collision more than once. Am I doing something wrong or is the TCAS not working in the Carenado CJ2?

Hi, Is it possible to fly a DIRECT TO WPT from PPOS with the Carenado Proline in the CJ2? What I observe when I follow the manual is this (on the DIR page): When presesing the LSK next to the WPT I want to go to, the plane wants to fly shortest way to the leg between the target WPT and the previous WPT, which leads to odd S turns instead of flying directly to the selected WPT. When typing the WPT into the scratchpad and press th eupper left LSK twice (as described in the manual) it erases my FPLN an leaves me with a blank FMC. Is that Carenado simplified Proline functionality or am I doing something wrong? Boris

Hi, just purchased and installed the Cj2 P3dV4. No Mods (yet) Can start - and fly . Everything is working except the comm/nav/adf/tpdr stack. Have tried uninstall and reinstall but no change Win 10. Any ideas? Scott

Currently, having just installed P3d a week ago, I only have two aircraft add-ons--the Carenado Mirage and the Citation 525. Today I enjoyed my first full realtime flight in the 525, from Reno to Napa. I quite enjoyed the handling of the 525. Once trimmed and set for cruise clime it flies pretty much hands off in calm air. I climbed to FL 260 reaching cruise alt just past Lake Tahoe, then proceeded westwards towards Napa. I set the autopliot for altitude but managed heading by hand until I reached the vicinity of the airport. I hand flew pattern and final and came in just past the numbers, touching down at 83 knots with full flaps. The Citation settled down easily …

To all of you who know what they're doing a lot more than I do, Is anyone willing to help or provide some information with regards to making a profile for this aircraft in PFPX? Or some simpler way of just modifying the data that it has for the CJ1? Thanks for any help you may give!

Forgive me if this has been asked before. I tried a quick search and wasn't able to find anything. Is there a way to install the GTN and cover the radio stack in the CJ2? From my understanding having the GTN installed makes the radio stack redundant.

Thinking of getting this for P3Dv4 but only if GTN 750 can be modded in. I just got the new GTN update for v4 so it should work ok if modded in.

Hi, I just bought the CJ2 last night for my prepared v4 and discovered the mod to use the GTN on it. I´m tempted but don`t plan to buy it soon (I will but too many real life expenses just yet). I fly only on VR (feeling like being inside the CJ2 is amazing), which is VERY FPS demanding. I own a 980ti and found a good balance between graphics and smoothness and would love to know if I put the GTN on my CJ2 will I have any chance to survive? or it will bring my pc to its knees with just 5fps? Don`t really want to spend another 50 euros and find out that I can`t get no more than a few fps. Thanks!

Hi, I`ve made a CJ2 checklist for the GTN750 following the normal procedures that come from carenado once you buy the plane. If anyone is interested just let me know and I can send it by email or the best way you suggest. Even the Exterior Inspection is there, not much sense in it but you can always shout your FO the steps to follow from inside the cockpit. I am unable to make the Citation CJ2 capture the Flight Plan that I have set in the FMS. When the aircraft is airborne, I turn the A/P on and then click on NAV but the aircraft ignores the flight plan, even if I set 'PRESET' to FMS. I have successfully employed Flight Management in a number of other FSX aircraft, including some by Carenado, but the system on the CJ2 defeats me. It is usually enough to set the A/P to NAV and,as in the case of G1000 systems to select GPS on the PFD. In all, I find the FMS and A/P to be unintuitive and user-unfriendly despite my efforts to understand it. Perhaps there is some factor I am missing and, if so, would someone please enlig…

Greetings I just installed the C25A into P3DV4 after logging over 400 hours in the aircraft via FSX. Question....can a .cfg file be modified to transfer the FSX hours over to the P3DV4 aircraft? If so, any help in how to do such is appreciated. Meanwhile, hats off to Carenado for allowing me to transfer the C25A to P3DV4 without having to make another purchase! Hoping someone can shed some light on an issue. I was flying from ktex to kgcn, trying to get used to the nav aids in this plane. I was flying at about 18000ft when all of a sudden I started hearing a weird clacking sound. Like something rattling in the sim. This is the only time I've ever heard this. No warning lights, no indication of icing. Although I did turn most anti icing on just in case. It continued for maybe about ten or more minutes. Honestly I starting trying about everything to make it go away. Then it just abruptly stopped. I don't know whether it was the plane in sim, an add on glitch or what.
