525A Citation CJ2 HD Series for FSX | P3D

I know if it would improve anything, but do you suppose it has some of the missing pages in the Carenado FMS. If you like flying the old fashioned way, this might be a good $10 fix for a lot headaches. Don't know anything about this one other than just seeing that everyone seems to have it on sale. Long-haul flight in the CJ2 from Yakima, WA to Sedona, AZ. Cruising at FL410 @404 KTAS with a 39kt tailwind. I took of with 80% fuel, 4 heavy passengers, and a gross weight of 12,396 lbs. No issues getting to altitude, and will have plenty of fuel at destination. Loving this little beauty!

I need some 'knock your socks off' type screenshots of the Panel of the Carenado Cj2 for my Avsim review. Something along the lines of these at various angles would be real nice. Also, if you have some screenshots that you have snapped while flying or getting ready to fly and they are full screen resolution, I would like to have a shot at using some of them in the review. Hi Folks, All defaults... I believe I have the flight plan entered correctly and it displays on the PFD - however - there is no CDI and it will not engage NAV mode to follow the FMS flight plan... Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong... Regards, Scott

It is a good thing the CJ2 came with some tail numbers. Nearly impossible to make new numbers, even using the defaults as a guide. I have never seen so many twists, turns, mirrors, etc in the paint templates. The end result is OK though. Regards, Ray

Hi Folks, OK - so I am working my way through my first flight - does the "N1 Setting" gauge actually work ? It should limit max N1 thrust to whatever is displayed with max throttle setting - no ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi, first day inside the code from the CJ2 progress: -NAV follow GTN with correct indication -FLC anuc. and digits on PFD -VS anuc. and digits on PFD -ALT change set default VS to 0 instead to 500 Roadmap: -ALT logic -FLC ignore sel ALT / tuning and indication -clickspots for VS, HDG, CRS (like the S550 ISG Mod) -TOGA logic and clickspot -etc.... Is there another gauge to set the altitude, other than the one below FMC. I find it hard to read on the PFD, you have to zoom out so far enable turn the altitude knob and see it on the PFD at the same time

The Proline in this ac seems a bit less buggy than previous efforts I wonder if they will offer patches for previous Proline ac or if it possible to transplant the new Proline code into older Proline ac ?

This would work until we can get the real deal coded properly. Anyone good with placements in the panel file? I like the bottom row for the TAS and Temp diff. but it should be possible to fix this exact position with the MFD popped up. Best Regards, Ray

Per the topic, Been flying the S550 with a Flight1 GTN750 integration (thx Bert), and actually find I have been enjoying it quite a bit, but I am curious if folks who now own both think the CJ2 is really worth getting as well - I know this will vary from person to person, so I understand it will depend on your individual perception of the additional "value"... ...but, what say you? Is any sort of autopilot-initiated flight level control (altitude hold, FLC, VS, VNAV, etc.) workable in the CJ2? I have the EMB 505 and it blows right through my selected altitude on my climbout. I'll have the bug set to something like FL350 and instead of leveling out, the Phenom just keeps climbing. I know vertical navigation in Carenado products is questionable, just want to see if there's any workable way of not having to hand-fly the entire time.

Hello all, just a quick question. Does anyone know if there is a flight manual for this? Its my first bizz jet and Carenado don't supply a manual, just a checklist and performance document. I tried a flight in this yesterday and well lets just say it didn't go as planned Its a great looking plane and I would like to fly it to its full potential. The performance tables included are great for takeoff speeds and runway lengths but there is no approach speed information. Does anyone have approach speeds for various weights or a way to figure it easily?

Hey guys, Just bought this plane because I fly the CJ1 in real life and wanted to have a good experience on the same type of aircraft in P3D. On my first flight I found some things I missed and things that dont work properly. I list them below and maybe im the problem here or its just not implemented: 1. FMS Takeoff and Perf Init page (big thing) - When setting up the avionics i searched the TO performance page in the FMS to get my TO distance and of course TO speeds. The speeds will normally be, when activated, visible on the PFD in the speed band which is very helpful and mandatory for takeoff and landing (APP Perf). 2. PFD/MFD format - When selecting the Fo…

I have installed the Citation 'as administrator'. Antivirus was turned off during installation. When starting the sim 'as administrator' and selecting the Citation I get the following messages. Firstly; "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Secondly; after okaying that message I get " Access to the path C:\Users\(my name)\appdata\Roaming is denied". Thirdly; after okaying the second message I get a third one which is a rimmed box with 'FSX' with in the top rim but the box has no message. After getting rid of the third message the Citation loads in all its glory. At the moment the only thing I'm having trouble with is the lo…
