<p>
	Hi all I just wanted to share my version of the GTN 750 integration for the CJ2.  Though I'm not a fan of the current mod that is available, I am a fan of some of the techniques Bert and Raymar used to get it to work.  I guess I'm of the minor (very minor) few who actually wanted to maintain as much of the cj2s original systems as possible with this integration.  For example, I didn't want to lose the glare shield annunciator light panel's original state (don't like the engine instruments up there even if you can switch between the two).  I also wanted the CDU to still work (in all its limited glory).  The later was simply so I had two sources of navigation for over water flights....
</p>

<p>
	Of course I needed Berts help to get that stinking nav button working correctly and unfortunately with my integration I have yet to figure out how to get the 750's Direct To button to work....(Honestly I don't even know where its click spot is LOL).  Anyways here's how I integrated the gtn 750.  Definitely not a perfect work of art but good enough for me LOL! Special thanks to <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://dev.avsim.com/profile/179650-raymar/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="179650" href="https://dev.avsim.com/profile/179650-raymar/" rel="">@raymar</a> and <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://dev.avsim.com/profile/100706-bert-pieke/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="100706" href="https://dev.avsim.com/profile/100706-bert-pieke/" rel="">@Bert Pieke</a>

<p>There are screenshots taken at various levels of completion throughout this forum but, your CJ2 Mod Squad is now ready to show off some outstanding updates and modifications for our Carenado CJ2 Citation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
I'm sure someone will post an overview with some neat screenshots, but for now I am going to just tease you with a few basic ones to get you started.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt; 3 screenshots at the end of this novel &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
We had a short beta test and found a few rough edges but overall we feel our package is well worth the price you are paying.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
This is not a completed piece of work as we expect to continue with minor updates and additions. As a matter of fact, I just drew a line in the sand and cut off the updates so we could get this initial package out to you.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
The highlights are:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
This will provide you the custom files and folders necessary to install your Flight1 GTN750 in the VC. The GTN will work as an installed unit inside the frame but will easily popup for resizing, moving, unlocking or another monitor and access the buttons on the GTN frame.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
The nagging feature of engaging the NAV mode has been completely fixed. You may have to teach yourself to make a few self checks, like are you in the GPS or VLOC mode, is the PFD source properly selected using the Preset selector, and you do indeed have a flight plan loaded or a Direct TO waypoint selected.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Another biggie, is the Engine Instrument and Fuel Monitoring station is now located front and center just below the glareshield and can be cycled with the Annunciator panel with a single mouse click. The Annundiator panel can also be zoomed for tired old eyes, like mine.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
A lot of under the hood work has been going on by Bert and Janek to eradicate the last of the bugs in the AP, especially those intermittent little gremlins in the FLC code. Early reports today from Berlin is that the FLC is now free and clear of bugs and should be working like it should.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
New fonts, increased text sizes and new annunciations will appear on your PFD. The airspeed tape will keep you entertained now that Carenado has tweaked the performance parameters a bit. Overspeed will come quicker than before but you will hear it coming and see the colors changing and flashing digits.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Those of us who just can't have enough convenient clickspots will think we have won the lottery. We have created some additional etchings on the PFD frame to help you locate most of the new ones. We will probably have several level of etching over time, from barely visible to the Readers Digest Large Sized Print edition like this starter edition.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
These are much more than a simple clickspot, they are more lime invisible knobs and sliders that you can use your mouse pointer or scroll wheel to make adjustments in Speeds, heading, courses, altitudes, VSI rates, etc. Some benefits are that you can use the tooltips for very accurate readings as you are making this adjustments.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
One of my personal favorites is that we now have an ALT knob where Cessna should have put it twenty years ago. This imitation 3D knob works in the VC and on the Popup PFD from both seats.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
There are are lot more Easter Eggs, so download it, install it, sit on the ramp and enjoy the new features, then go fly and see if Janek is correct about the FLC.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Best Regards,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Janek, Bert, Ramon, and yours truly,</p>
<p> </p>

<p>
	So I finally installed the CJ2 into P3D v5 (HF1).
</p>

<p>
	It's been a long time since I've flown this aircraft...I started with Cold and Dark and found that I could not get the avionics switch to turn on the displays/radios. Everything else appeared to work OK...I could start the aircraft but still not avionics. When I went to "Shift+8" and toggled "Ready for Taxi" the avionics/radios came on.
</p>

<p>
	Like I said...it's been a while since I've flown this aircraft...am I missing something/a step starting from C&amp;D?
</p>

<p>
	I installed v1.1 (re-downloaded today from Carenado), installed the aircraft into the P3D v5 folder and then ran Carenado's P3D v5 compatibility file. Everything else seems to work and I could also update Navigraph, but, the avionics switch doesn't appear to work from C&amp;D.
</p>

<p>
	Ironically, if I start from Ready to Taxi state, I can use the switch to toggle the avionics off then on again.
</p>

<p>
	Any help would be appreciated!
</p>

<p>
	Is it just me or something's wrong with radio panel(com 1/com 2 dial and speaker/headphone switches)?
</p>

<p>
	Tuned com 2 on the speaker(switch up) and turned it off(switch middle) and then endless receiving.
</p>

<p>
	I fortunately got into Jevon's gtn 750 integration but still, oh god, even radio is not working properly in 40 dollar-ish aircraft?
</p>

<p>
	I really hope I'm the one who's making mistakes here.

<p>
	I've installed the 525 CJ2 into P3Dv5. I've installed the mods for the GTN, click spots, heading adj, vertical speed adj, etc. It all works very well...but the fonts and display are very poor when compared to P3DV4.5 HF2. Just wondering if anyone experienced this and solved it?

	Does the weather radar on the Carenado CJ2 require Active Sky Next?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I just tried to get it to work by selecting really bad weather in the FSX standard menu, then turning the FORMAT to ARC mode (also tried the others) and clicking on the RADAR button twice to get RDR selected.
</p>

<p>
	It then shows the "WX T+0.0" on the PFD and I can change the tilt angle with the knob, but I do not see anything on the screen.
</p>

<p>
	The TERR mode works fine, just the weather radar is blank.

	I'm having an issue my Carenado 525A CJ2 in FSX Steam Edition, I just re-downloaded and installed it  on my PC again after I replaced my hard drive. Now every time I use it I have no engine noise at all, along with no startup noises. I get noises from the warnings and all the other switch setting, just not the engines. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

<p>

<p>
	Grabbed the 525A today. I've encountered two issues on P3D V4 :
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	1. the FMS is out of date and I cannot update it using navigraph FMS system. Is there any other way of updating it ?
</p>

<p>
	2. When putting in the flight plan, I can put waypoints directly after VORs etc. I can't seem to enter an airway to a Fix point or VOR, am I doing something wrong?

	I am wondering if It would be possible to request a repaint of a real world Citation CJ that I used to see at KSNA all the time. The real planes is a CJ3 but I think it would look really good on a CJ2. I really liked the paint and was wondering if someone would be able to create the paint. This paint job is the same as N525CD.

	I downloaded the Careanado's  525A CJ2 from the web site last night and installed it with Anti Virus disabled. It appeared to installed OK. When I start up FSX and select the CJ2 it crashes FSX. I haven't noticed the Navigraph update either. If I start up FSX with any other A/C then switch to CJ2 the A/C comes up.  I have deleted and downloaded and installed 3 times with the same effect. After deleting A/C and reinstalling it there was no notification to OK any of the .dll files normally used by third party aircraft venders. Anyone have any suggestions that might help me out.

	After getting Javon's GTN 750 MOD i purchased carenado's CJ2. I downloaded it off Careanado's web site and installed it with Anti Virus disabled. It appeared to installed OK. When I start up FMS and select anyone of the aircraft it crashes FMS. I haven't noticed the Navigraph update either. It I start up FMS with any other A/C then switch to CJ2 the A/C comes up.  I have deleted and downloaded and installed 3 times with the same effect.  Anyone have any suggestions that might help me out.

	Has anyone else had this issue? I bought this aircraft about 6 months ago, but I'm only finding time to try it out now. Basically every time I try to load a scenario with the CJ2 P3D quits on me. I don't even get an error message. There is nothing showing up in the event viewer either, which I find really odd. I've tried doing a full uninstall/reinstall as well, but to no avail.

	Once plane is loaded, it stutters really bad. What I mean by this is that as I pan around the cockpit there is such a delay in the response from the time that I look around the cockpit that it is almost like a slide show. It has worked for me in the past but just recently started doing this. I have the most recent Carenado products and they work fine. this problem happens with this plane and also with the King air products, namely the 350i and the GTX C90. All my other planes work great. I have decreased FSX settings to see it that would help, but it doesnt. Not sure if there is something common with these three aircraft that could be causing the problem. I re-installed and made sure I had the most up to date versions of these aircraft. Really confusing since these planes all worked well in the past. Operating a Dell XPS 8920, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz (CPU:0), 16GB Ram, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Any help I would appreciate.

<p>OK gang,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Here is what I have working so far.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
I replaced the VC MFD with the full GTN750 with the popup click spot in the normal lower left side. Popup to get to the Menu and Directo buttons and whenever you need the frame. Otherwise you can see it in the VC just fine.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
I added a flight plan, set the GTN to be primary active and loaded the plan. I setup the PFD for FMS at the PRESET. I clicked Nav and the GTN took over and started tracking the flightplan. All the AP functions are working - ALT, FLC, VS, NAV, HDG. Looking good.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Now,I can return the popped up GTN back to the MFD box and if I click on the top of the MFD, the MFD pops up WITH ALL THE ENGINE INSTRUMENTS working, yeah. I can use the click spot across the top of the MFD to return it also in the box but behind the GTN. Good again.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
This may just work for us until Bert gets to work on it down the road. Even the bottom line of the MFD is still there with TAS and temp diff. Yeah.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
See graphics, post questions.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
UPDATE: It couldn't be that simple. Second flight, the GTN failed to intercept the magenta line. I am troubleshooting this now. Must be one click away as Jim would say. UUGh.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
UPDATE 2 - Crap. I can't get the GTN to capture the Flight plan magenta line. MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE PRESET/FMS selection.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
UPDATE 3 - I reversed the change in the panel.cfg (back to no change) and the popup GTN work fine, tracks correctly, following the flight plan. Someone must be the error of my ways.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
UPDATE 4 - Bert suggested we copy the Hawker GTN Proline21 folder over to the CJ2 Panel folder. This fixes the tracking of the GTN but kills the PFD panels in the VC (popups work fine) so we are almost there. See posts further down for a better fit of the GTN and the detailed panel changes needed for this one.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
UPDATE 5 - Everything now works. Jump down to the bottom and work your way up.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
How did I do it? One simple change to the panel.cfg with the GTN750 already installed as a popup using the F1 config program.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
REMEMBER to backup and make another clean copy of your Panel folder.</p>

<p>
	Hi all,
</p>

<p>
	This is a silly question (but that's never stopped me before...)
</p>

<p>
	Is it possible to do a partial mod of the CJ2 panel? What I'm looking for are the mods minus the GTN. In other words, I'm looking for a config with the modified FMS (blue info screen) and the updated click spots but still retain everything else as stock. Is such a thing do-able? Thanks!
</p>

<p>
	After being a fan of the PC-12, TBM850, and King Airs 200&amp;350, I decided to get myself the CJ2.
</p>

<p>
	All started off very well, I found it actually quite simple and relaxing for the first few flights.
</p>

<p>
	Unfortunately, about 3 days after purchasing it, it now won't even load into the game. By this, I mean that I select it from my hangar on FSX, then click "ok" to return to the menu to complete my selection of airport, weather, and time, and when I do this, the sim simply crashes (stops responding). I haven't had any luck getting the CJ to work since, and Carenado has been no help either. Since I have had this for no more than a week, I shouldn't already be having a problem like this, should I?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any help is much appreciated!
</p>
