Hello ALL, I purchased the CJ2 yesterday (vs 1.1) once the mod squad posted the incredible GTN modification. Great job! Today when I set up my EZ-DOK views I noticed the following graphic anomaly, in the passenger compartment- viewable only from the back of the plane. I linked two pictures having slightly different angles to get a better idea what I am seeing. It is not related to the modification - I put back the original - it does the same with both. Yep, Bert sent me a new xml file and some super simple instructions for those folks that wish to have his GTN installation for the CJ2 but, do not have the Hawker GTN to use. I'm not sure what the level of interest for this will turn out to be, but send me a PM and I will send you Bert's instruction sheet and the xml file to make it all work properly. I used it to add the GTN to my CJ2 in P3D early this morning and it work very well. I then started over with a virgin panel.cfg file for FSX and used the new quick install and everything now works the same in both FSX and P3D. Hi Folks, Question - the original CJ2 525A FDE - you could fly in cruise with WOT (Wide Open Throttle) all day and not exceed your max mach... I haven't tried the updates yet but I heard they might be different... Does WOT on the real plane have enough power to exceed max mach in level flight ??? Regards, Scott

I am just curious, I tried Google but couldn't find anything...what are those "plates" (for lack of a better word), behind the engines, that open and close as you throttle up and down? They seem to stay "open" in flight... Have never seen anything like that and is curious what they do? Also, out of interest, have they been modeled correctly in the version of Carenado?

Hi, For those of you who would like to have a better/sharper PFD during landing can use this mod. Mod is applied to version 1.1, but most likely also functions in version 1.0 Just click on the top of the PFD in the VC to open and the same on the 2D panel to close. GTN users have Nav/Com and Transponder built in so these nicely placed 3D knobs on the panel might be used for something really useful? I wonder if the coding gurus could figure this out? hmmm. Wondering Ray. Maybe just some creative placement of the popups with real convenient click spots would help with the 3 really out of place knobs.

I was able to tune the radios to the proper localizer and received lateral guidance but I saw no glide slope indicator. What might I being wrong? Thanks, Brad

Hi Folks, What are "Flaps 60" for - as it states for "ground use only" ??? Do pilots actually increase the flaps setting after touchdown (new one on me) ??? I found some reference that stated the speed brakes should deploy with the flaps 60 setting as well - does this happen on the model and are the flaps/brakes effective ??? Is there a way to "arm" this to deploy automatically ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

How do we use the pressure system in this aircraft. Is it an auto system? Do we have to set an cruise altitude or destination elevation? Are any of these these modeled?

Hi Folks, First flight - (KBGR) Bangor ME to (KSHD) the Shenandoah Valley VA - two beautiful airports (especially KSHD) which I've flown into for real... Now - I must have (I'm guessing) some type of VAS issue unrelated to Carenado as this has happened with other aircraft... Right around the two hour point of a flight - P3D just locks up crashes... How frustrating after taking two hours out to conduct a flight... The frame rates seem to suffer a bit before the crash - so I should have known it was coming... Running WIN10 - P3Dv3.1 - ASN - RC4 - UTX2 - FTX Global - FTX Freeware Airports - REX - UT2 - and - Fltplan GO... I'm still pretty new to this FSX/P3D thing only …

I wrote a fairly comprehensive review for Avsim on 3 Cessna Citations in mid 2013 using a theme of matching the correct plane for specific missions. So I finally got around to doing my ritual flight trials with the CJ now that I have the GTN up and running. Overall I am pretty impressed. I think this release by far needs less tweaking than prior Carenado a/c. I am usually adjusting volumes of all the sounds and substituting some call outs but I did not have to do much on the CJ. I need some input form all of you. Now that the GTN is in the MFD, I do not like having a blank inop FMS panel. I do not remember which one of our members came up with the idea to replace the FMS on the S550 with blank closeout panel but it is perfect. Can we do something like this in the CJ? I do not know if someone has problems with the capture of the LOC and GS but in my simulator (P3D3.2) I had to tweak the "aircraft.cfg" autopilot section: and the for faster reaching the cruise altitude. Maybe it helps other Pilots here...

Hi. Just purchased this aircraft. But getting this error when the plane is loaded: Any ideas what this is? Edit: I found out what the problem was. Im using NavDataPro to get the latest AIRAC. Since the aircraft is not in the list i extracted the data from NDP to another folder, and replaced all the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\CarenadoNavigraph\Navigraph\NavData Thats why i get the error. So the question is, how am i supposed to get the latest AIRAC in the Navigraph?

I am too busy writing the review to do this myself but, I think the popup lovers would love to have a couple of more popups for the CJ2. I am an old fart with poor hearing and declining eyesight (this is for you to feel sorry for me) and I can't see the annunciator details. Hell, I couldn't read them in the real Citation when I had good eyesight. I also don't like to scroll down to the AP at the back of the console and Shift +3 is such a bore when I have to take my hands off both the throttle and flight stick at the same time. Sooooo. Could someone code the AP panel popup with a clickspot somewhere easy on the panel and also make a popup with the annunciators enlarge…
