After a successful installation (antivirus off, ran as Administrator) of the Carenado Phenom 300 v2.1 in Prepar3d v5.1 (Windows 10 fully updated), I could not see any interior walls of the plane. Cabinetry, seats, instument panel are all there. Can you tell me what might have gone wrong?

Hi guys, during cruise I am using the speed settings given in the performance tables that come with the plane. Though I have noticed that these speeds are well below the "max. cuise speed" of ~450 kn and reflect in my opinion more the "economic cruise". Flying the Phenom in the simulator I am usually not so concered with fuel costs ;) and also fly usually short distances. Therefore I was wondering if there are any performance tables for the max cruise speed out there? In general, how do you guys handle the speed/ power setting during cruise? Best, Kjeld

Hi guys, tried the 300 with P3D V5 yesterday but had no success. Installation via XML-Method went fine and the bird loaded properly in the sim, but when 'touching' the AP all MFDs went black. Is this an error on my side or does this bird need an update from Carenado? Many thx and kind regards DIRK

Using Prepar3D the taxi or landing lights do not illuminate the ground as soon as I increase the throttle. They stay illuminated in Spot mode just not Virtual Cockpit.

Hello, Right after take-off, the left section of the MFD with the engine instruments goes back and just says INITIALIZING SYSTEM. When I click the hidden point to open the pop-up, its all there, but in normal VC view it's all black except for the white letters. I'm using Bert's GTN750 mod, but this is the first time this has happened. Thanks!

Hello fellow pilots. I'm planning on building a cockpit for the Phenom 300 I'm in the process of making sure that I can find a keyboard command/push button for the aircraft and have hit a roadblock with the Autopilot increase/Decrease altitude. I'm using the FSX keyboard commands of 'Altitude Bug (Select)' CTRL+SHIFT+Z and then Increase/decrease selection and increase/decrease selection slightly ( = and -) and (SHIFT+= and SHIFT+ -) Accordingly but they don't work. Any ideas for a solution? regards, Paul

I brought the Carenado Phenom300 around 2 weeks ago, and before yesterday I de-installed them fromP3D. Since then I have a strange problem with my remaining A/C, AS Bus, (318-321) and Lvl-D. I can only open the left front entry door. If I try another one, like rear pax door or any cargo door, the fwd entry closed. So, whichever door i try to open, only fwd left entry opens and closed. Do I have manually de-install any leftovers? Any help are welcome Peter

HI all, Just picked up the Phenom 300 and decided to try a flight EGLL/LFPG. Read through the G1000 pdfs and have some familiarity with the G1000 from the Phenom 100 which I used to fly earlier in the year. My main issue is when selecting the departure most times the airport field keeps rapidly changing...as if in constant scan. The only way to stop it is to press the inner knob, but then I cant use the outer knob to select the departure (as nothing is highlighted). I then have to press the PROC button to to back to the Procedures page. Selecting Departures again does the same thing. The workaround is then to go back to the PROC page and sele…

I was thinking that with Carenado's sale going on now it would be a good time to get one of their planes that I don't own yet. I've been keeping my eye on that Synthetic Vision for quite a while now, so I pulled the trigger and got the Phenom 300, Navigraph addon, and SVS addon. Pretty disappointed so far, neither the SVS OR the Navigraph works. I have zero nav data in the MFD, which makes it basically unflyable. I've googled all over the place and I've spent several hours now trying workarounds, only to no avail. Might just have to contact Carenado and get a refund, so sad. Hi. Just a very quick question today. I have seen on the checklists mention of a gust lock pin which you have to remove before setting up the plane, and which you have to insert when shutting down. Is this modelled by Carenado, and if so, where can I find it? I've hunted high and low but cannot find it anywhere. Thanks. Adrian

Hi. I have just installed GSX and am trying to work out the correct startup procedure with the Phenom 300. The GSX instructions state that any external connections such as a GPU need to be disconnected before pushback and starting the engines. Clearly you cannot be pushed back dragging the GPU along with you! So I would like to know whether it is possible to start both engines just on battery power? So my thinking is to have the GPU connected while I get everything set up, then disconnect, request push back and then start both engines. If the engines cannot be started on battery power alone, I would need to start both engines with the GPU while still at the gate, and…

Hi all, I'm new to the Phenom and have so far two problems in P3Dv3.4. I have all my flight controls, throttle, gear and flaps assigned via FSUIPC. Every plane I have is working very well, except the Phenom: Flaps and gear operated only with the default key(board) press, in both direction. Rudder, Elevator as well as Aileron and Throttle working via FSUIPC assignment. Any help is very appreciated. Peter

Hi. There are several buttons on the panel and surrounding controls which need to be pushed in or out according to the situation and what the checklist requires. There are 3 on the TAWS panel, 2 fire extinguishers, the pressurisation dump button, 2 on the electrical panel, and the pusher cutout button. However there is no animation to the buttons, so it is impossible to tell whether the button is pushed in or out. It seems that clicking on the button will bring up a white bar across the button - but only if the batteries are on! Hi again. I am having further problems with the departure. I am setting the first cleared altitude, but the autopilot ignores this and flies right through it. From previous experience of the G1000 on different aircraft I believe that setting an altitude should arm ALTS. However I am seeing ALTS disappear as I climb out, and I cannot find any way of resetting it. My initial climb is being done through VS mode. I do not engage FLC until I am climbing to a higher altitude and have the speed stabilised around 225 KIAS. Please could somebody advise. Thanks. Adrian

Hi together, i cant`t set my COM1 e.g to 124.600. My channel spacing provides only 25 KHz steps, always . *05, *30, *55 *80* and then again *05. The channel spacing settings in the AUX-display at MFD has no other option than 25 KHz. Thanks for your answer. Regards Herbert

Hi all, I have seen a few posts stating that the weather radar doesn't work properly or is intermittent. I have done a bit of homework on this and it seems that the weather will only show something if there is precipitation ahead. I.e there must be rain, sleet, snow or hail for anything to ahow up on the radar. (In FSX only rain and snow is modelled i believe). As far as i can tell this is true to life, so you won't see anything on the radar if there is only cloud ahead of you. Unfortunately the radar tilt has not been programmed by Carenado although from what i see on the radar i am not sure that it is actually looking up at 150 degrees as shown on the r…

Hi again. I have read the recent thread about speed control, and have found that the best way to control the aircraft on take-off is to use VS initially, then to set a suitable speed before engaging FLC mode. However I am not sure what speeds to select, as clearly the IAS will drop the higher the altitude is. Yesterday I did a test flight from EGKK to EHAM, and was aiming at FL350 (which actually turned out to be far too high for this short flight). I had the speed set at around 280 kts, and the aircraft was already more than halfway to EHAM by the time it reached cruise altitude (and actually should already have started its descent). Hi, If I get a chance to fly on the weekend, my go to is the NGXu, but I occasion want something different. I have owned this aircraft for over a year and I have never been able to fly it. I installed it when I bought it (Dec 2018). I think I tried to get it working last summer, reinstalled it, still had issues, and forgot about it. I tried flying it yesterday, and as soon as I try to open the pop up windows (shift +1, Shift +2), the sim freezes. I can hear sound, but that's it. Is this a known issue and does anyone have any advice on how to fix it? I also have the Navigraph extension. I have a Navigraph subscription and it is fully updated. Thanks!

Unfortunately two painters intedicated they would apply their talents to the Carenado Phenon 300 but never did. There are very few paints available (3 US and 2 Brazilian) and nothing European. Also, a few major repainters said they "will not" buy or do repaints of this aircraft. If possible....
