FS2CREW: PMDG 777

This a reference sheet I created for the B77X FS2Crew that contains a summary of all the flows and the voice commands required to go through them. It is designed as a 2-page sheet (to be printed as such and perhaps laminated) with the gate/stand to cruise phase on the first page and cruise phase to gate/stand on the second page. Get it here. In the end there is also a small reference of the most used (for myself at least) voice commands. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Hello ! this is the message (and a vocal one) I get when I activate FS2Crew 777 for the first time. As stated in the documentation I have already [sDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1 in my 777X_Options.ini file and FSX is on a local E:\Sims\FSX disk with no windows ont it and FSX is running with admin right since quite a long time. This is my 1st trouble with a Fs2crew product I must admit. Please note that I've intalled the product with admin option. With the 777 I've always started FSX with default Cesnna not the weird thing they call an ULM. Hi Just to check, apparently i do not hear the sounds when cabin is boarding. Everything else seems to be working fine. Is there something wrong im doing or is that how its supposed to be? Also to add did not hear cabin announcements. Bryan, The other day during the Preflight Checklist, I could not get the FO to acknowledge my trim setting of "2.75 units 0 & 0". I was pronouncing it clearly and had no other voice recognition anomalies. Finally I tried verbalizing "2.7 units 0 & 0" and the FO recognized it immediately and continued with the checklist My theory is the 2nd decimal number (5) is not understood in this particular command. Can this be looked at for v1.1?

Hey, i followed all the steps but FS2Crew seems not to hear me :( I made the voice training two times with success but fs2crew doesen`t react on my commands in fsx. Voice is on It`s not muted The VATSIM ATC can hear me over my microphone so i have no idea what causes the problem. Hi Bryan, just to advise that I've been experiencing a few issues with the new program - some of which have been noted/reported here by other users (to which you will be resolving in V1.1), and a few others that at this point seem isolated to me. I'll just raise the isolated ones here. I have tested these several times over with the same conclusion. (I do not use the FO's FMC/CDU at all - it is powered up and ready for use) 1. Creating the ISpRecoContext object... Error Code: 0x80045077 this is the error i get in the speech engine log, anyone want to help me to find a solution????

This is just an observation but it seems that some recordings that I would have thought were complete phrases were recorded one word at a time. For example the UK FO says "flight" "level" laboriously, one word at a time instead of "flight level". Maybe it's just this one FO as I haven't tried the others but it does detract from the realism. Just did a short flight and saw a couple things. Judging by others topics and posts, it is probably something to do with my setup. Everything was 99% perfect except for the FO not controlling some lights that were (what I thought) supposed to be controlled by them. The FO turned on their map and chart lights, but did not turn them off for the entirety of the flight; they did not turn off the dome light before push back; did not switch the EICAS page to the engine page before engine start; and failed to turn off the logo light above 10,000 feet. Hi Bryan, I have somewhat struggled through my first flight with FS2Crew. However, I would like to know in some detail exactly what I am aiming at. Would it be possible for you to make a couple of videos, one showing how to set up the Main panel, and another showing the product being used for a flight (presumably with the en route section taken out)? Hi, I'm really enjoying the FS2Crew for B777, keeping my fingers crossed for a possible emergency version. Meanwhile i notice that when doing an APU-to-Pack takeoff, the FO doesn't switch the APU off after takeoff, is it not the FO's responsibility to do so? Also it seems the FO doesnt reset his ET on the clock during preflight, carrying over the time recorded from the previous flight.

Is there any way of "resetting" the voice? Lost FOs voice after "Before taxi check" and he does his commands but no response. In the 737 it was possible to reset it by first deselecting voice then activate it again in the control panel (in fsx)

Hi I called for Flaps 20, the text dialog displayed the correct voice recognition "flaps 20" but the flaps handle did not move. "gear down" also did not move the gear handle. Other voice commands for speed and heading work fine. I am using a joystick, and free version of FSUIPC, no flaps axis set in FSUIPC.

What is the difference between paper and electron?

I just finsished a very short flight from EKCH to EDDH (Yeah I know it´s definitly not very realistic with a 777). Starting with a "Long" setup and using the great FS2Crew flow PDF made by David Murden (NyxxUK) found here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/454476-fs2crew-flow-pdf-for-the-777/ I had a great flight with no issues. FS2Crew performed very well using the "Button" option. Great job Bryan for a great product that really multiplies the immersion. Finn Jacobsen

Is it by intention the FO doesn't confirm the "Gear up" and "Gear down" call? I find this a bit distracting. Regards, Tom

only way I can do it is via menu/views/instrument panel/F2Crew/main panel

No matter what I select in the Briefing section: F/O won't turn the XPDR on during taxi to the runway / won't leave it on during taxi to the gate. Regards, Tom

Hello Byran, Thanks for a good product however just a couple of niggles, I was on final approach in landing config but yet to do landing check list and called 'go-around' and the green bar reproduced what I had said confirming the computer understood however my FO did nothing, I tried again with 'Missed approach' nothing, then he would listen to any of my commands to do with flaps and seemed to freeze untill I put the panal back round to 'intial climb' What is the exact go around procedure, had a look in manaual and cannot find much info. Hello, I am back from my first short leg together with my new favourite female colleague on the flight deck Everything went super smooth and FS2Crew did a really good job - nearly as good as expected. Congratulations Byork for this so far bug free release! But to be honest I am kind of disappointed. Maybe I expected too many functionalities that I am familiar with from the FS2Crew PMDG B737 edition: e.g. the proper setup of the Communication Panel to be able to talk to the ground crew as well as the cabin crew. I missed that with the latest Aerosoft Airbus edition, too. But hey, this has been an Aerosoft platform, not simulating this panel in similar detail as PM…
