Loving the T7. Just tried to set my Baro to 890qnh but can't reduce the setting below 948. I can't find any limits mentioned in FCOM or on the forums here. Any ideas? (Also: I don't much like the click n drag rotary - would like the mousewheel approach back, even if only as an option).

HI, MY problem ist that the installation of directx at the end of the pmdg777 installation fails. It says a cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. This ends up in the problem that the 777 does not work. No gauges are installed and no activation window. I had the same problem with the 737NGX but i don't know how i fixed it that time. I seached the internet for the problem and downloaded the dirext webinstaller which gives the same problem. Also the complete installer from JUn2010 gives the same problem. Hey PMDG community!! Now after some houres flying the 777 i must say its a really really great product, everything is fine, even the frames... For now i just have found a minor bug or something, however that one makes it a challange to land so it could get annoying after some hundreds of flight The problem is the following: When i am arriving and slowing down to final approach speed (normally i guess it can also be BELOW 140 kts, right?) i noticed that, not depending on my weight (yep i tried 100% load und also 0%...) and the stall speed/red tape is everytime at about 148 kts. That is making it really difficult to land without being annoyed by the nice "rrrrrrr" coming…

Dear PMDG, I know that this will get lost in all of those "My XYZ won't turn on" posts regarding the newly released 777. All I have to say to those people is to GO READ THE MANUALS/TUTORIAL. Anyways, onto the main part of what I was going to say. As soon as I found out that the 777 was released I checked my paypal balance and joined the long queue for the purchase and installation of the 777. Then after a LONG time B), the 777 was finally loaded on the Boeing Ramp at Paine Field. All i could truly say was WOW, what an amazing product. I did a quick circuit around KPAE and shut her down for the night. (Had first day of school today :mad: ) I created this post to…

You can only print the Introduction and the Tutorial. The other manuals are locked files which can't be printed. Surely this is a mistake? You're not intending to make us buy the printed manuals, or use them only on alternate screens? Joe Legander

Hi I have a question about the preconfigured cockpit states available in PMDG 777. I see three main states: 1. Cold and Dark 2. There is a state with Short label. 3. There is a state with Long label. What is the difference between 2 and 3 ? Secondly, in the tutorial available, the cockpit state that it starts with is in cold and dark, and we use Battery then APU to get some electrical power. I was wondering instead of APU, how can we provide External Power. From cold and dark state, my fmc is powered off so i can't request for ground connection. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've been flying around for a few hours now and have found that when on final, my FSX would suddenly stop responding. The only way to get my system usable again would be to kill FSX using the task manager. This has happened three times today and always only on final approach. I have tried the same flights with the -NGX and MD-11 multiple times and I have no problem. It's not consistent with the 777 either as it happens on every 2nd or 3rd approach. Has anyone had any problem that sounds similar?

Fist want to say what a grat product!! Very nice to fly with! But have a question.. On my flight during the appoache there was no caculations on speed. One fix on the app path i give speed restriction of160. A point before that one the speed stays automatically on 240, which a bit high too reduce in 4nm to 160kt. And also the app ref speed that shows on legs page was 170kt. But on the app reference page i set 25/136. Maybe this are real world behaviors or i did something wrong. Note: this flight was completely setup. Evey weight and data was filled.

Hi all, I wondered if anyone else was seeing the same issue as me. It seems on almost every turn, the LNAV path is being overshot, and I end up between 0.3-0.5 L/R of the path. Some of the turns were less than 10º and it still happened. Now my route isn't very straight, and I know it's a big aircraft so I have some lenience but I wanted to know if it's just something I've done or something in the 772.
