Hi All I've rescent downloaded the file Dauphin_365F, from www.hovercontrol.com with modified versions of Antti's Dauphin/Panther. They look very nice but everytime I select one or start a situation with one of them, the helicopter just keeps bouncing all the time! I have to bring it to a hover, land it and then it stops bouncing! I've tried to tweak with the contact points on the aircraft.cfg file but couldn't get it to stop bouncing once I select them. Has anyone had the same kind of problem? Any suggestions? ThanksLeo

Which is the best for helo flying ? I have used an old fltstick for around 8 years and I think its compromising my helo control. No matter how I set it up I seem to lack stabilty and appear now to be alittle out of calibrition. Which do u use??;-) ;) :( :-)

Hi guys! I am abbabibble. the reason i have come here is to request help on some things. *ahem* i am currently in the design phase of a new ultralight, open cockpit helicopter dubbed "Simplicity V 1.0" i have a decent amount of knowledge on airfoils and the concept of how a helicopter works. All I need to figure out is where I can get rotor blades, or even better, construct/manufacture/build a set myself. This design requires one (1) set of two 5-7 foot long rotor blades (length of ONE blade, not whole wingspan) and TWO sets of 2-3 foot long blades. (Sorry if you all work in metric units... i can convert if needed...)I am seriously thinking about constructing the rotors t…

Is there anyway to correct the flutter and shake problems in FS2004 helos that occurs over 120 or 125 knots? Thanks all, Rob

Hi,I've just purchased a collective from Flight Link and I'm having trouble setting it up for FS2004.I've managed to reverse the "throttle" settings thanks to an earlier posting. But the collective is only responsive in a very tiny portion of the range regardless of the sensitivity settings in FS2004. This makes it unflyable.I'd welcome any hints from someone who is using a Flight Link collective wit FS2004Thanks

Not to long ago four Flighsim Fans had a dream, their dream. They wanted to create an Emergency Response Virtual Airline, and out of that VERTva (Virtual Emergency Response Team) was born. In short order word got around and in less than 4 months membership in VERTva had grown to over 50. Members had a wealth of know how and skills to share and VERTva took off faster then anyone dreamed. Within a couple of months VERT had its fleet delivered to its numerous bases all over the continental US and was looking for place to expand. Scenery was built, planes painted and VERT even had the good fortune to have its on FS server and TS servers up in this short period of time. Within…

I was thinking is it was possible to sort of link the . (period key) or whatever you have for the "brakes" to the rotor brake of the default R22. It would have been rather cool to do so, if it is possible to do it via cfg file...______________________ Fredrik Wold

The new Mark Adams Tom Woods chinook files have been uploaded. Not to be confused with the Vladimir Zhyhulskiy release last month.Optimised for multiplay, custom airfile, gauges and sound, 4 liveries, dynamic VC, round dial or glass cockpit options, cone/tilt rotors, HMD, autopilot, radar, searchlight and more. There is also a texture pack which will add an extra 6 aircraft and a repaint kit available from hovercontrol .com.

We are a little bit disappointed with the lack of response or reaction from you. We though this Forum was going to be really excited with the news. We've worked rally hard to bring you this Dauphin and, while 189 of you (less some duplicates) read the message, only Wayne Smith replied.I just want to tell you that you are missing out big time. Those of you who've complained about the lack of realism, autorotations, startup, paneles, etc. will be up for a treat. The only thing that we don't have for you yet is an autopilot but we are working on it.If you haven't tried it yet, I really recommend it. Dust off and install that old copy of Fly! II that you have somewhere, it's w…

Hiya, This message is to any painter willing to paint the Original model of the Bolkow Bo105 by Guenter Kraemer, in the County Air Ambulance colours, which is currently based at EGNX (East Midlands), UK. The model is currently available from Avsim. I would really appreciate anyone's effort to do this. Here are a few links to pictures of this chopper: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/646111/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/619603/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/615463/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/474743/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/435013/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/422679/L/ Many thanks indeed, I really hope someone will do this fo…

HiDue to a catastrophic crash of hard-drive I've lost all my Flightsim collections. I still remain faithful to FS2002, for many reasons, and I had a really great HUD for my Helos. It had two rectanges which, if you kept aligned, helped you to fly straight and level. Around these the compass ( I think ) with a wind vector arrow and the usual ground/vertical speed etc to the left and right - all in green. If any of you guys out there can put me in touch with this again I would be most grateful. Thanks

I want to learn how to fly helos in MS flight simulator. I've seen two differant sites that have training programs, hovesafe and hovercontrol. Any opinions on differances between the two sites training programs? Thanks
-
I thought I would post this question here while I waited for my registration for the hovercontrol forums to be approved. I was just starting to go through the ground school training forums over there and was working on starting up my Bell 206 from a cold, dead cockpit. I went through the proper sequence: Master switch, avionics switch, fuel check, fuel valve on, then monitor rotor RPM. The problem is that the rotor RPM never gets above 15%. Now, if I switch into a fixed wing, start it up and then load up the chopper again, it is running. I can't even get it to start using the cntrl+E command. I am really frustrated about this because I want to make my simulation experienc…
