If you have the fabulous PWS scenery suites, 1-5 in your Addon Scenery Folder within FSX, you can easily migrate with a drag and drop into your Addon Scenery Folder within P3D. Then fire up P3D, and add each folder to your Scenery Lib. Then press ok at the bottom, to let it rebuild, and off to the races you go! Beautifully rendered in P3D...and because of the shadows upon terrain, mountains, the ocean, as well as the HDR treatment...P3D really brings the scene to life. If you have Orbx's Vector installed, you need to run the AEC auto tool...for airport elevation correction. You should do this after any install or removal of scenery. Have fun...and enjoy the C…

Hi , a fellow by the name of Bryn has developed a wx radar that works with FSX and more importantly P3D. I just tested it with ASN and it works awsome. On top of that it is free. You can get the file on the hifi site. You can resize and move the gauge anywhere on a 2D panel. I think he is working on a VC also. Pictures are also on the HIFI site Nelson

I guess this has been out a couple of days now, but Just an FYI. Nothing in the patch to help it out with P3DV2.x sadly. I guess making the Q400 officially P3DV2.2 compatible is turning out to be a difficult challenge. Wonderful aircraft, but will just have to keep waiting and hope it'll arrive sometime this year. Some mid-level clouds as I transverse PNW at 6,500 ft. It is the cloud shadows upon the terrain, mountain and valleys, that has me spell-bound. To have realistic mesh, ORBX has great textures, are they only textures or they have also some mesh improvement? Im talking about ORBX NA and the like ,not global Should we add a mesh addon? in this case which one is recommended?

Hello all, Has anyone figured out how to use the Elite MEL (standalone) Throttle Quadrant with P3D v.2.x?? I really hate to have buy another throttle system when this one has worked so well for me in FSX and X-Plane. Elite Simulations has yet to respond to my requests for guidance.

Never played online before, where do I start? what do i need?

I tried searching the forums, but I can't find an answer to my question. Anyway, I have FTX Global base and FTX Global Vector installed, and it makes cities in my home state (Kansas) look great. However, scenery between cities is very bad. It's just a really bland looking grass type texture with some farm fields mixed in every once in a while. Is my only option to find a comprehensive scenery texture replacement for my state like megascenery (which I dislike since it gets rid of ALL autogen), or is there something else I can do to replace only those textures? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Hi guys, I've got a question and I "think" my common sense is already giving me the answer, however.....I'm just not sure. I've got a HDD that is already past the 70% full mark, which I'm working at getting cleaned up, but it's a slow process. Anyway, I'm considering making the jump to P3D based on everything that I've read so far, and I've searched the internet and most of the forums and I can't find the answer to my question, so "if" it's already been answered somewhere before, I apologize! Hi guys! Well.... probably in the wrong place BUT this is doing my head in!!! after firing up the AXE and flying for 1/2 hour, my system just shuts down and restarts! Only with using the AXE this seems to be! The Event viewer dialog tells me its the old "amdkmafd audio bus lower filter" that has stopped working... or words to that affect I dutifully did a plethora of research on the net to try and figure it out and was hoping for a simple re-download the driver and it would be sorted... no such joy... just a ot of redirection to Russian and Czek sites that i was too sacred to download anything from!! funny thing is i don't have AMD on my machine.. If anybody thinks that ORBX's FSG Global is merely generic 'canned' repetition of tiles and autogen, as you proceed along your flight line...they need to fly, and view the product at 2200 ft. I am presently VFR'ing Ontario (Canada) Highway 17, and, at about 100 miles northwest of CYYB (North Bay) where I took off from, and headed to Pictured Rocks National Shoreline in Michigan, USA. Thought I'd post my personal settings that helps with getting more vibrant and better looking visuals, at least visually, based on my monitor these settings seem to improve things. Note, this in effect is similar to a colourising and brightness/contrast adjusting shader. Since I have no idea how to write a shader for Prepar3D v2, I simply set these settings in Nvidia Control Panel, and only turn it on with Prepar3D v2. Hi Guys I've got a handful of ORBX products from various regions and I'm still confused about which area to activte in FTX Central, depending on my routing. I've read all the documentation but still can't get my head around it, must be getting old! OK, so what I have: ORBX Australia ORBX PNW ORBX England ORBX Global So in FTX Central I have four options - Global, Oceania, North America and Europe, plus of course the option of "hybrid" mode under Global. I can't EVER go back.. No sir! I have been swallowed by the 'Dark Side'.... I have everything max'ed out in this sim...everything that can be highlighted, clicked, massaged, and bribed, turned onto its highest setting. I can never see this sim from this morning on, rendered at anything than less of what's on the screen. Sheer...amazing...virtual flight reality. To get this...I am sitting at a pretty steady 17 FPS...and there is a little micro-stutter....no worse than EVER was using FSX. About the same...and that is most livable. Folks, I do believe that all ORBX custom mesh is scaled to 5m. Is there any reason then to set MESH to the highest setting of 1m? Do you pick up anything past 5m for ORBX stuff, or is going higher, simply a waste of system and G-card resources? What do you think?

Does anybody know..is there a P3D 2.2 installer for this airport? I own it...but have not tried to install it yet...or if you can at all. I miss it, as I am flying around Ketchikan right now, and just the regional looks rather bland....

The two ORBX airports, Veronica Municipal (05S) and Sekiu (11S) as well as their surrounding area...is D.D. gorgeous in P3D. They both are true v2.2 installations with both, triple installers. They come recommended...especially Sekiu on the coast. Lots of eye candy...and a great float plane experience.... You also need to set your MESH to 5M for all ORBX stuff. I found that out the hard way, lol.

Post Edit: ORBX needs their scenery set to 5M...I had it set to 1M, and that had me in a crater at GA Parking Spot 1. Went to the ORBX forum, and had help there....and was advised that it should be 5M. That did correct my problem. I have now, both 05S Veronica and 11S Sekiu for P3D v.2.2...and the scenery of course is beautiful...and even more so because of the treament P3D 2.2 gives to it... I have also installed both for FSX! It will be an enjoyable night for P3D'ing... Cheers!

Folks, I can't remember where someone, (not me...) found out that you should always delete any custom profile you have altered and/or created after you have saved them all, of course. Then, with any new driver installation, you should firstly delete all the default profiles that came with that new driver install For instance; 1.P3D 2.FSX 3.XPX 4.FS9. ....and then IMPORT your saved custom profiles. The reason as explained by the poster, is that in actuality, the profile that has the latest create date, is the one that is used by nVidia Inspector when an *.exe is called up by that Profile.
