Has anyone tried the Majestic Q400 1.009 patch (Released May 12)? I am installing this aircraft in P3D for the first time, and the aircraft is completely unresponsive in P3D (starts up cold, no working toggle animations, controls unresponsive, gear missing), even with VC mipmap disabled as per Majestic forums. I'm wondering if this was caused by the latest patch, or if I haven't correctly installed the plane. Thanks,

Well, I have been using a very, well-tuned P3D for three days now. I was SO, SO wrong about SO many things regarding this flight simulator...and only based truly, on ignorance. I had no user knowledge of it all all. My only intel, was from pictures, videos on You-Tube, etc. None of that, can prepare you for a truly hands-on-the-yoke experience with this simulator. It is the FINEST flight simulator software...I have ever seen to date. Yes...to date. im wondering if prepar3d has any plans for better atc. i understand that it uses the same atc as fsx. i have always loved the fsx ATC because of how real it sounds compared to the other ATC softwares that sound kind of robotic. so im wondering if anyone knows if they have any plans to update the ATC for more sounds and better instructions?

I have been in my longest flight to date...about 1.5 hours at this time, at 3,500 ft over ORBX Global Florida. No problems reported, sim running smooth, animation is great. Can you still generate O.O.M's..with this 32 bit program? Just wondering...

Hey guys, just flight released the 747 for p3d and was wondering if anybody got it yet? It's the f- lite version but right now I don't care, I need a long haul airplane for p3d. But anyway just wandering if any one got it yet.

I'm having problem with the scenario. I'm using full graphics on P3D 2.2 and when I take off, most of the scenario become flat, only terrain with a blur image, looks horrible. Is that a known issue? I'm new on P3D, I got now to leave FSX. Thanks in advance. Fábio

The release notes for P3D v2.2. mentioned enhancements to the recorder utility that is built into P3D. I tried it and didn't really see any difference when compared to the older versions. Is there a config file or hidden menu that lets one enable disable what items to record. My biggest issue is that the recording doesn't properly record the surface movements (flaps, airbrakes etc) FSRecorder utility used to do a very good job of this but unfortunately I can't get it to run in v 2.2. Hello to all I currently own a copy of prepared 3-D v2.2 and for some reason I am getting very poor frame rates and would like to know if it is due to my system which I will detail. Motherboard gigabyte 990 FXA-UD3 CPU is a AMD Fx 8320 OC to 4.2 GHz 8 GB of Corsair vengeance 1600 RAM GeForce GTX 760 graphics cards in SLI hard drive is a Western Digital caviar Black 2 TB CPU cooler is the Corsair 80i any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi there! I am using P3D 2.2 with ASN and FS Global Real Weather as weather engines. While ASN is stable as a rock, FSGRW is much more performance friendly in heavy weather (and I really enjoy its local weather effects), but from time to time, it causes P3D to crash or to freeze. I use FSUIPC and FSGRW in the most recent versions. Is anybody running FSGRW with P3D without problems or has encountered similar issues? Any input and information is appreciated! My downloads keep failing... anyone got an alternate link? For some reason patch 5 isn't hosted on google drive.... Also I can't get to their forums after I formatted, lost password, when I do a recovery I try to change the password and their forums state "security key invalid" Any ideas?

Well...3PD can look pretty awesome, whether plain Vanilla, or loaded up with all your port-over ORBX goodies. Now..here is the bad...and for some, could be a deal breaker: If you load up with FSXG, VECTOR, Regional such as PNW, CRM, Pacific Fjords...etc... Your FPS are going to dump between a low of 15-22 as the run. That's right. If you crack the sim open, so as to see the features you paid for, and even on my system, you WILL lose about 10-13 FPS from Vanilla. But here is also another point. I found the fresh install 'Vanilla' P3D to have pretty darn good graphics, at full Extremely Dense settings of all three tabs. Shadows all enabled, etc...and coul…

After reading at the P3D site I understand that the most important improvement in P3D 2.2 compared to FSX is DX11. I find it hard to believe that this could mean any significant better looking world compared to FSX DX10 (which I use). I have got the impression that these are other improvements over FSX which might make P3D worth the investment. But I'm not sure, correct me if I'm wrong. 1) Default scenery in P3D is better than FSX ? 2) I can expect better performance in P3D compared to FSX? But I understand that the video card is important. What is the case with GTX770 2 Gb?

After starting to install my FSX add ons in P3D V2 I soon discovered that it was not as straightforward as I first thought. When it comes to enhancing P3DV2 with add ons to get as much as possible out of P3DV2 , you first have to consider if it's advisable to install the product at all. My concern here is that the sim should be messed up in a way that might not surface right away or be more subtle. If an add on does not have a specific P3DV2 installer should you try install it and how? . I have purchased the Estonian migration tool, how confident can I be in it? Hi there! I just took the plunge yesterday and bought P3D. As a flightsim freak, I just had to give it a try and see it in person. And what I've seen so far, is very impressive. The framerate is very smooth and stable, and rarely drops below 25. And that's with these beautiful cloud shadows turned on and in the Aerosoft Airbus Extended. In the MJC Q400 it's even better, even over dense sceneries like London. (FTX Global, buildings set to dense) Very good! ;-) But I can't get Ezdok to work. I read about the missing exe.xml in 2.2, so I created one, put it into the correct P3D folder, added the entry for Ezdok, added the fsx.exe into the root folder of P3D, but still no …

I spent the evening yesterday, and took a Dusk to Night flight out of Detroit, Mi, and in FSXG, have settled my default size to: Very Small for the size of the light orb, and here's why. After using, and testing all the sizes, over heavily-lit metropolises, like Greater Detroit, Greater Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, etc, and observing how life-like it was (each size to contribute) in the critical climb out zone, of just taking off, to a terminal cruise of 3,500-5,500 ft ASL---and then viewing the structures (along with an orb size) upon the textures, like auto-gen buildings, houses, etc...I finally settled on the Very Small (the bottom and last choice …

Greets all! Has anybody written a tutorial on how to setup a second networked system to run weather and anything else that would lighten the load on the main Prepar3d system? I understand your supposed to be able to do things like this using the SDK but I'm not real clear on it, or what all you can delegate to the second system. Thanks.

Converted to 1.3 and now my PMDG 41 crashes system PMDG 747 works, so I assume there may be an issue with the XML.dll. Anyone have a working JS41 in Version 1.3 who could psot a copy of their XML.dll? Thank you
