I have just installed PR3D v4 and noticed that compared with FSX the scenery looks pale and washed out. Is that the way it is or is there a way I can change settings to make scenery look more realistic in brightness. Thanks

Since this was the first time that I updated my version of Prepar3d, from v4.1 to 4.2., I would like some clarification if I did things correctly: I followed the instructions from LM on the downloads page. First off, I uninstalled the Client and reinstalled it and continued with the same process for the scenery and content. However, do I also need to uninstalled and reinstall my entire P3d application as the last step? Or am I good to go? Kind regards,

I heard about this program for the first time in some threads here dealing with Affinity Masks and I very briefly checked it out. It looks like it may be useful. Does anyone have some opinions of it and what settings are best used with P3D. Is having an Affinity Mask setting still relevant if using this? Thanks!

Over the last couple of days I have run into trouble installing OZx and other software. I had a stable install with all Orbx Global and scenery loaded. And in some ways I still have the same stable system, at least it runs the same as before but I now can't install any new add-ons any more. I don't expect miracles, but unless someone can see something stand out I will face the long haul - A full reinstall. Cheers Anton. I have large areas of dark brown patches with some lighter streaks in them over Ireland definitely not natural terrain, scenery in correct order. I have taken screen shots but have no idea how to attach them in the forum would appreciate any help given. Les

Hi. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find a post. The problem is that I am a serious FSX fan, but I have been convinced P3D is an updated version of it, and I'm happy to invest in it. My question is regarding atc. If you look at the Licencing of the P3D page, it mentions ATC for the Professional ($199) version, but not the Academic licence ($59.95). So is there no ATC in the academic version? Either way, it's the ATC in P3D very different to the one in FSX? I would really appreciate it if someone can let me know as I'd love to try P3D out! Thanks, Gaz

Hello friends! I need help with an oddity in P3D V4.2 Please. I have a 4 monitors setup. Windows 7-64-pro, FSUIPC 4.1. The issues I'm having that despite having the "Pause on task switch" option unchecked in P3d, the sim still pauses every-time I click on anything external - even the desktop, with both the sim windowed or full screen. then continues once I click back anywhere on the sim. I even went into the P3d.Cfg and nixed the "pause on lost focus" line, still no joy. Any ideas guys? I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you so much. Marco.

Does P3D V4 have any convair 880/990 models with VCs? I love these models and think that they are very underrated. The 990 is still the fastest subsonic airliner to date. If there is not any on the market, does anyone plan to make one? will this post encourage anyone to start on a new model? You wont regret it! Cheers! -3star

Best all, Since of today I don't have any AI traffic in my sim. I even don't have the default AI traffic, the sliders are all up to 100% but still nothing. I checked on all big airports, but I can not find the solution. Is there any solution for this issue? Dear regards, Red

My experience of upgrading from 4790K to 8700K system I just wanted to briefly share my experience, as I myself was very curious about this topic before taking the plunge. I have just landed at RJAA and found many of the taxiways mis-named and the scenery not aligning with the Navigraph chart airport ground layouts. I think that I was taken in by the 'P3D' label. I suspect that the scenery is way out of date.😒

Presumably half of its life is over - but there's alot still to be packed in before the planes in the hangar sing. Looking forward to seeing what's up over the next few months. Too early for a V5 spec thread?

So I installed ENVTEX the other day, and all of my low-level clouds have disappeared. I'm using ASCA and I have read a couple of solutions talking about deleting specific shaders to fix it, but I'm not sure what exactly i need to do. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello - I was making a few minor changes to my FSX-SE and Prepar3d V4 installs and I think I screwed something up bad. My Scenery Config Editor now indicates 48 error files ("path does not exist). Half of the error files are various Orbx FTX files and then some other addons like some Aerosoft airports. I am concerned that I will need to do a complete reisintall which would certainly drive me to drink more than I already do. FYI, I don't get any errors upon booting up P3d V4, just in the Scenery Conifg Editor. If anyone has any idea as to how to rectify I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Pete

Guys I need a sanity check here. What is the current correct version of FSUIPC for Prepar3d V4.2. I am having some problems with V5.124a. For some reason the assign button and switches will not work. Seems like something is interfering with it but I have the in-sim controlers turned off. Strange goings on here!!

Just got notified of an update to Seattle Airports and downloaded the latest installer from my account at Simmarkets (so far two times). This is the first time ever in getting an error when installing a large file from the Internet and from Simmarkets but it stops almost immediately after beginning the installation with the following unknown compression error: Yes, I know it could be the download manager's issue but I have always had great success with the download manager provided with Firefox. I think it was the upload to Simmarket. Anyone else with this error? If I click ignore, it will just go to the next file and throw the error again, and again, and...…

Tuesday 22nd May ProATC 1.9.2.3 will (finally) be released. Let's hope that after the (imho) failed 1.9.2.2 release this one will actually work as advertised. One thing that caught my eye was this remark: "ONLINE ACCESS IS REQUIRED to RUN v1923". I wonder if there still are simmers out there that do not have internet on their simming rig? In that case it seems you are out of luck. I myself do have internet on my simming PC but still don't like this requirement. What if my internet is down? Is airframe and engine iceing caused by sim weather temp/precip or does it obey the "Icing" in advanced weather? For instance, window fog is dependent on temp/dew point.

Hello all, I seem to be having increasing amounts of crashes and am considering repurchasing fsuipc for the autosave feature. My question is how many of today's advanced aircraft will successfully support loading a saved file? I have planes such as the PMDG 737, the Maddog, the majestic dash, and fslabs 320. Will all of these successfully load a saved file and keep the panel state?

Hello,Screenshot I have recently purchased P3D v4 and am in the process of installing all of my Carenado and Aleabo aircraft. They install correctly however interior textures are missing every time. Usually it's the roof texture or something like that. I do not have the anti virus turned on when doing the install so that should not cause an issue. I have tried to install multiple times and it still does not work and i have downloaded the most current installer from the website and still nothing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hi everyone, I posted a question a while back on the Level D 767 forums and no one replied so I figured I'd do it here so some people actually might have a chance of seeing it. I've been having thrust issues with my Level D 767 on P3D v3, with 40-50% N1 required to get the aircraft moving with light weights (130t TOW doing shorthaul BA ops). I've had a read on their forums and there was a mention of a 'sim1.dll' fix which would enable the aircraft to taxi much easier with less thrust, which is more realistic. I am having a problem with frame rates dropping when I use some saved scenarios. I start out at the gate of a default airport with an in cockpit fps of 40 using the PDMG 737 and by the time I get to the active runway my fps has dropped to 1. Repeating the exercise without using a saved scenario, I can fly with 45 to 50 fps for hours. I do not know if this happens with the default aircraft since I don't fly them. I have noticed that some working saved scenarios develop this same problem after a few flights. Something is causing this issue but I can't see any problems with the saved files. For testing I have not been using any add ons to eliminate possible problems.…
