I have been using and opening this program for several months without issue. I have everything set up so I don't open the program often but suddenly every time I do open the program to check for updates or possibly make some changes I am asked to register, which of course I did when I bought it. I went through the registration again and it was accepted but when I open the program I am again prompted to register. The only change I have made in recent weeks is I bought an upgrade to Seattle airports from Drzeweicki but I don't know how that would be related to the issue. Hi I am not sure what i have done to my set up but i am trying to change some settings in my P3D4 options menu and the sim crashes to desktop if i try to enter it. If i go to my saved flight or set a flight up without needing to change any options everything appears ok. Never seen anything like this before, can anyone provide any suggestions to solve the issue? In my appcrashview it says "the string binding is invalid" and the fault module name is KERNELBASE.dll I am not sure what this means. Any help most appreciated.

Hi I have dynamic lighting enabled however at KIAH George bush airports there is no seeable dynamic lighting happening. Things are installed correctly and settings for the airport should be allowing dynamic lights to work

This came out of nowhere? Some new features/improvements added. No mention of an upgrade option for previous owners that I could find.

I'm still considering adding this to my hangar, but the low-rez vc cockpit textures are really putting me off. How good/bad are the textures in the vc? The outside looks fine.

So i deleted my prepar3d v4.2 to migrate over to v4.4, but i forgot to uninstall my orbx products beforehand, do i have to unsinstall them in FTX central or do i have to uninstall FTX Central itself?

I was wondering whether it's possible to install the FSX version into P3Dv.4. I'm posting this here, since this isn't officially supported by Aerosoft. I found a post suggesting creating a new folder, copying the P3Dexe into this folder, then pointing the installer to this location, and then activating the scenery in the scenery library. Before I mess up my P3D installation, has anyone tried this out. Am I missing a step? Also, I have the Lisbon edition, as well, and was wondering whether anyone had installed that successfully into P3D. Thanks

Is anyone experiencing this issue, and if so, is there a fix? After a fresh install of Prepar3d 4.5 with hotfix, and installing Orbx scenery, I get CTD while selecting and changing the settings in scenery objects. This happens in the California region, NOCAL (KSTS KMRY KTVL) and SOCAL( anywhere in the LA basin, KPSP KSAN KAVX), England with TE GB South installed, Built up areas like KLAV with global installed and Global Open LC NA, KFHR, KOS, KCGX, ect. Hello, I have a problem with tomato shade. It does not apply modifications in games even if the console says "apply succefully". When I go into the game I have the basic shaders, they are even worse. I tried different presets but the problem does not come from there. Once I reopen Tomato Shade, there are no saved settings, everything is like I did nothing. Has someone already had this problem ? Hi, after many happy and successful years in FSX without issues, crashes or things like that, I received a new PC and in relation to that I finally listened to my mates and got on board P3Dv4. However, since installing P3Dv4 in early January I still haven't managed to perform a flight from A to B, because the system is constantly crashing or doing "weird" stuff. I constantly get black screens after loading or changing views. The programme would suddenly just crash to desktop or freeze. And this is before even having installed any add-ons. A question please. Why the shaders folder in users user name AppData Local Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4 is missing and there is only Controls folder, Effects folder and Shaders-Backup Folder? is it something wrong that’s why my sim is so bright? Please Advise Georgios

Hi All, I purchased, downloaded and installed FlyTampa's St. Maarten V1.8, took off from FLL and flew 3 hours only to approach a bumpy, jagged TNCM. Yes, I should have tested the scenery prior to taking off, but chose to trust its compatibility. Has anyone installed this scenery into P3D V3? The installer picked the right folder and everything however, the scenery looks to have chunks of land poking out from the runway, and the overall landscape is not as it should be. It seems as if other people are having the same issue (per youtube comments). Also, the uninstall of the scenery is loading but not completing the process (i run an administrator). Anyone else havi…

Not sure where this belongs, but both are under the P3D v4.5HF2 umbrella... I have been playing around with "turbulence" settings in Chase Plane and Active Sky. When I have AS turbulence set high the aircraft is a real vomit-comet - moving all over the place, left to right, up and down, and it matches what I have seen in "bad" weather scenarios in real life. However, it seems excessive during normal weather. Chase Plane, on the other hand, is much more "bump your butt up and down" type of turbulence, and from what I remember flying with my Dad in GA aircraft, a bit more realistic. However, I think we only went flying on nice days so this could be best case.…

Hi all, I've just purchased the SDG Cairo Airport as there was a P3D V4 installer available on SDG's website. I unfortunately have an elevation problem and the surrounding scenery looks horrible. I am using ORBX Vector and I've disabled HECA. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I read through a thread which briefly touched on the subject but it wasn't overly clear. Ok, I think I solved massive stuttering with the NGXu and other most likely other CPU intensive addon aircrafts. I was also hearing annoying audio popping and crackling lately, and today I did some googling and found the post where one guy was listing the processes and stuff that can cause it. One item was intriguing - Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I know that I have it installed, so I rushed to Add or remove programs, uninstalled it along with EVGA Precision XOC (didn't used it), restarted the PC. Fired up P3D, loaded NGXu, and voila, pretty much smooth performance with unlimited frames! I literally forgot what it looks like, I'm used to locking down the fram…

I've been out of simming for a couple years and I just installed P3D v4, I'm having problems whenever I try to go between fullscreen and windowed mode where the eyepoint seems to get messed up and the zoom changes making everything blurry. It's hard to explain, in VC I end up looking upwards to the left at the headliner and when I mouse-look it seems like I'm using a fish-eye lens or something. Reloading the user aircraft fixes it but that's not something I really want to do at FL330 every time I try to look at a chart or something in another window. Hi all, For those who own the new version of ImagineSim WSSS, have you ever encountered display card INOP issue when flying into/out of the airport? To me, the performance (i.e. FPS) is OK, but yesterday in preflight stage P3D suddenly showed a message of display card INOP, and prompted me to choose continue (may not work properly) or quit. This is the only add-on scenery where I have experienced this issue. Can anyone check their Prepar3d v4 Roaming directory and tell me if they are seeing 2 files being created right after shutdown? Should I worry about why they are created. I did not see these error files in 4.2 and before. They only came up if the sim crashed. Current Config Zero addons and just the latest Windows 10 Pro Build 1803 with latest patches. P3Dv4.3 works fine, but every time I exit. I do see dxDiag and Prepar3D.cfg (text Document version) is created. It seems P3D4.3 is not exiting cleanly. Hello, I keep getting fps spikes (60 fps to 14 fps), and exactly when it happens I also get sound crackling. Its gotten so annoying especially in the VC and I really cannot stand it anymore. This activity has been going on for a solid month and I've tried basically all the "fixes" and still cant get it to stop.
