I've been using GSX for several years now. It is one of my favorite addons. Every time I use it, I find myself asking this one silly little question. Maybe if I get an answer, I'll stop thinking about it. Does anyone actually use GSX by choosing the menu options in the sequence that they are in the menu? I always start a flight with an empty, dark airplane. I leave the plane cold and call for the fuel truck first (option #3 in the menu) so it gets a head start. After calling the fuel truck, I hit option 2 for catering then option 6 for the jetway (sometimes, I do this first). I am new to this forum, so let me introduce myself. I am a retired C-130 pilot, with 30 years combined active and Reserve, and a little over 6,000 hrs, a rather nominal amount among my peers. I have been retired since 2004, and have started a volunteer gig at The National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs. One of my duties there is to provide “flight instruction” to patrons of the museum, and in particular to youngsters. The new Orbx True Earth Scenery of the Netherlands looks gorgeous. I learnt to fly in the Netherlands so would really love to have this scenery to "fly over" that beautiful country again. The problem is that it is only out on Prepar3D, not FSX (and its not clear if it will ever come out for FSX?). So my question is it worth getting Prepar3D just so I can use this? Or is the freeware NL2000 (which does work on FSX) just as good, or good enough on the detail? What are the advantages of Prepar3D over FSX please? And if scenery is compatible between Prepar3D and FSX why won't this particular scenery work on the latter? That puzzles me.

Hi all im trying to use TomatoShade with the A318 up to A321 With no luck with the Reflections i have used the Profiles in the Dynamic Reflection Maker & downloaded some as well but all the same result the body of the planes are all white with no windows but the engines have the details of the liverie ect (easyjet) anybody got any ideas Thanks

Hi guys, When landing at Runway 29 at VIDP the ILS is placed wrong for Imaginesim VIDP due to displaced threshold. Has anyone got a fix for this please? The ILS is right from beginning of Runway 29 which is used for take off only. Landing area starts way beyond, making runway shorter, but ILS is configured wrong here. Would appreciate your help. I have had a couple instances recently where most, it not all, of my AI is missing. A few weeks ago I did a flight from somewhere to FB's SFO. Everything was normal at the departure; however, there were no AI aircraft when I landed. I tried bumping the sim time up by 10 minutes (usually causes AI to reload), but that didn't work. I can't remember whether I was flying the NGX or the NGXu Yesterday I started a flight at FT's LAS. There were no AIG AI when the sim loaded, but the GA traffic I have through UTL was there. There were a couple AIG flights in the air, but nothing at the airport. I tried to force AI to reload by bumping the time, but that didn't work. Ne…

Hi I am using P3d and have been unable to load simconnect and desperately need help! When I click on simconnect it flashes past at speed. It is meant to ask me if I wish to load a file. I have administrative rights but that hasn’t helped me. Martin

As you can see, my lights look like... well, I'll let you decide the descriptive terminology! 😉 This is a fresh install, with a PTA Preset and Reshade used, although never had issues with the presets on my last install of the sim, so not sure what could be making them look this unrealistic! I've messed with all of the light settings to no avail. Anyone got any ideas with what else I could tinker with? Many Thanks 🙂

A long standing issue with FSX was you could never really use FLC mode once entering mach speeds. It appears this bug still exists with P3D, no? I cannot really use Mach mode reliably because I have to constantly adjust the speed bug for altitude. Is there a fix available for this?

So from what I can gather we are stuck with this for now. I have 2 grips with Prepar3D V4.5 hf2. One is performance. I can live with 20+ fps in 4K or 30fps in VR for now. But the scenery loading pauses on decent and approach or even flying over addon airports 30,000 feet below is a killed. Especially in VR where the image diappears and you find yourself in the VR loading area until the pause ends. Is there any remediation for this at all. I couldn't find anything. Not looking for a way to get ride of it (because as far as I can see there isn't one. however I hope to be contradicted). But are there step that can reduce it or minimize…

Since 2 days I am getting Red Crosses at SODE gates. Two days ago on both view pc’s U did all updates that W10 advised + optional ones. At Marseille I noticed it first. An uninstall of SODE 1.63 and install of SODE 1.65 solved the issue Todat with the new Faro the same thing. So I uninstalled and reinstalled SODE 1.65. It worked right away. However, when shutting down both pc’s and rebooting them a couple of hours later the same issue appears Any ideas ?

I recently went from FSX to P3D4 because of the 32bit vs 64bit and I have found that MSE works horse ****** in P3D4. had no problems with FSX and my old Video card. Upgraded to the GTX-970 and I thought all was well. Works good when not using MSE but when using MSE lots of blurriness,water don't look good, seasons will not change (always winter) and colors are way off from what they should be. Is there a simple setting setup that I can use to get MSE to work?? hpwells1

Does anyone know how to slow down the pitch trim rate on the HoneyComb Yoke? Also, would like to slow it down in X-Plane 11 as well.

Firstly my specs: CPU is i5 4690K @ 4.00 GHz RAM is 8Gb GTX 1060 6Gb VRAM I have just upgraded to Windows 10 pro and have also just moved across to P3D v4.5 from FSX-SE. The only add-on I have is a plane - the aerosoft CRJ pro. Using default scenery with mostly "MEDIUM" settings and onboard weather (NO active sky). I've already done a few short flights with the CRJ with no problems. Yesterday, I downloaded Navigraph charts (subscription). After a few minutes I got the OOM message. I figured it had something to do with Navigraph charts so I uninstalled them. I then gave FS Tramp a try. Same problem. I then uninstalled FS tramp and did a short…

My sim gets about average 60 to 80 fps and sometime more. But for some reason after about 5 to 10 min my fps drop to about 35 - 40 fps without even moving the plane.

Dear people of our community, I got a question. At the time of departing of SFO I've seen some black/different squares. It is during daytime. (23.01Z) which is 15.01 local time. But the squares are like evening time. Very weird. I don't know where this come from. Please check the screenshot. Do you know the issue? P3Dv4.5 HF2. ORBX global, also (South) America. Europe etc.. Hello guys i was just wondering how is the performance with EGLL and EGKK in P3D V4?

Evening, I noticed something off this afternoon. Flying the SUNST4 sid into KLAS, I saw a huge plateau just past Hoover Dam. When I looked on the P3D map, there was an airport with the ICAO RN01 (right beside another airport called U30). The name that’s displayed is Randolph-Turning Point 1. I’ve checked my add on folder and used ADE to search the default airports, but no luck finding an airport named RN01. I can select it from the airport menu. Hi, Is there a utility that will automatically read the aircraft.cfg and insert (or even suggest) the atc parking codes based on the atc airline? I know I can use AI Aircraft Editor or ACA to do it manually, but I'm getting a little tired of having to redo the NGXu codes every time there is an update. GSX requires the parking code, and I can't understand why they simply will not include the code with the paints. Thanks!

In the real world, EKCH is nowdays closed and is use by an industry that manufactures women's underwear for very large women. Terminal 2 is use by a sausage factory that specializes in "Rød pølse"). The reason for EKCH being closed was that a bird protection association in Copenhagen stated that air traffic was disruptive to birds.

Hello, I recently downloaded the new IVAO pilot client "Altitude". Unfortunately, it does not come with it's own MTL installer, and there is download link available for the MTL installer. If someone has the full IVAO MTL uploaded somewhere, can you please share the link ? Cheers 9W.
